Chapter 410: Chapter 411: Press Them All Up for Me

"Everyone, stay away from the cliff, move back! Do it quickly, MOVE BACK, I don’t want to cuss!" Seeing many players eager to see what was going on, Chu You warned them promptly.

Having so many people standing on the cliff would surely alert the approaching Beast Race army, thus jeopardizing his tactical strategy.

There were over a thousand players standing within sight, along with an immeasurable crowd behind them. When they heard Chu You’s solemn voice broadcast through the global channel, the crowd stirred and started backing off, once again causing chaos.

"Don’t talk, keep quiet, get back, get BACK..."

"Those who were pushing the stones earlier, stand behind the stones. When I give the signal to push again, do it together off the cliff!" Chu You frowned slightly as some self-appointed heroes emerged. He noticed that there were too many players wanting to push the stones. Some were simply unable to suppress their curiosity and were eager to see what was happening in the valley.

To them, this was just a game after all.

"Now, all warriors, move to the entrance area, get behind the stones, hurry! Players on the left, don’t you stand near the cliff, I won’t be rude, understand? Players on the left, don’t show yourselves! Squeeze to the right, the players on the right move hundreds of steps further right. Hurry up!!"

"Those of the Assassin profession, fall back, let more warriors take the front." As Chu You issued one command after another, the players on the canyon’s edge were thrown into chaos. It wasn’t because the Assassin profession wasn’t important, but Chu You knew it would be nearly impossible to command 35,000 players with precision - there just wasn’t enough time. After all, how long would it take to deploy everyone meticulously?

Therefore, Chu You could only vaguely place the general situation as his top priority. Besides, this wasn’t a kingdom warfare against other players. If it was, Chu You would not have arranged it like this. Strategic warfare would require a completely different approach.

Now, the players near the far edge could hear the marching footsteps echo from within the valley, along with the sound of metal armor rubbing together. It was clear that despite the unknown numbers, there was definitely a massive army down below.

In the valley, the vast mob of the Beast Race had dark skin and muscular bodies. Rugged armors were strapped onto them, while their hands gripped equally crude yet intimidating-looking machetes.

They had noticed the huge rocks above them, as well as the players who were peeping from beside the rocks.

These Beast Race soldiers at the forefront did not halt due to this. They simply watched the players on the cliff with glaring, blood-red eyes, occasionally growling fiercely - like an aggressive beast bearing sharp, yellow teeth, and salivating profusely.

The Beast army had now walked right into the ambush. Pushing the massive rocks down would crush a large number of them to death.

However, while Chu You was positioning the player formation near the canyon’s entrance, an accident occurred. For reasons unknown, a huge boulder that had been in position suddenly plunged into the canyon.

What made it worse was that the rock didn’t crush even one Beast Clan member - it had landed in an area where there were no beasts. The foremost of the beast army hadn’t arrived at that spot yet. However, they were startled as the rock had fallen just a few meters away from them.

The loud crash was enough to catch Chu You’s attention.

The atmosphere became eerily tense. The numerous players behind the trees were uncertain of what had happened at the front, but those near the cliff were visibly shaken. They turned to Chu You abruptly, glancing back and forth between him and the Beast Clan.

Looking at where that fallen rock had been, the Genesis Guild seemed collected in that area.

Just then a horn sounded from the valley. The once halted Beast Clan Army started moving again, making no offensive moves towards the players above.

Chu You speculated that their ’Commander’ had probably failed to assess the number of players up there, and hadn’t found a way to attack them yet, which was why they continued marching.

"Everyone, stay calm, don’t look down anymore, gather towards the entrance, it’s time to fight. The Beast Clan’s charge is fierce, so hurry up." There was something odd in Chu You’s gaze, but his tone was light, almost disinterested.

This spurred some sharp-minded players to sense a sort of anger radiating from Night Ghost??!!

Now all the Beast Clan passing through here could see the players standing above. In the midst of them, a grand chariot pulled by dozens of Wild Bulls arrived. On it sat a physically weak, yet tall Beast Clan member. His superior stance and demeanor declared that he was the Boss - the Commander!

The chariot also housed eight Shaman Beast Clan members. Some held Magic Wands, others held Crystal Balls, and some held the Codex.

The Beast Commander wore a magnificent robe in a unique Beast Clan style, made with black feathers and animal bones interspersed with aged fabrics. The robe was decorated with strange patterns.

At this moment, he glanced sideways at the players occasionally popping up from above. His blood-red pupils narrowed as if contemplating something, followed by a playful smirk on his face.

He then realized that the marching army had halted once again, which furrowed his brow.

The Beast Clan at the forefront had reached the canyon entrance. They were now staring wide-eyed up at the countless players and the four huge rocks.

Soon, a burst of ferocity bubbled up within the Beast Race, driven by a desire to charge forward and slay their enemies. This sentiment quickly spread to the other members of their kind.

The Beast Commander ’Klarat’ abruptly rose from the skull throne, looking up above. He outstretched a hand, and malevolent magical energy gathered there, forming into a black crow that screeched into the sky.

When the crow took to the skies and saw the seemingly ’infinite’ amount of players standing there, Klarat, the Commander in the canyon, widened his blood-red eyes in surprise.

"Ah!! Kill them! Kill them!" He roared in the unintelligible beast language, pulling out a long whip and lashing it into the air. The sound echoed in the canyon along with the heavy sound of horns, signaling the Beast Race to attack!

The players stationed at the back felt as if the earth itself was shaking from the canyon, followed by thunderous roars of the Beast Race...

Seeing the Beast Race suddenly change directions to charge at the players on the slope, Chu You spoke on the all-channel transmission, "It’s starting, everybody stay calm, listen to my command!"

As the long slope was about to be swarmed by the Beast Race, Chu You ordered timely, "Now, roll all the rocks down!"

At Chu You’s command, all positioned boulders were set in motion. The leading boulders at the entrance rolled down with tremendous speed, crushing the hordes of the Beast Race charging up.

Right then, all players who were in governance mode received a system alert.

System: Beast Race invasion force, 196354/200000!

This message consistently appeared at the corner of the players’ view to indicate the remaining number of the Beast Race.

The large rockslide hadn’t just taken out more than 3000 members of the Beast Race, it showed the overall casualties inflicted by players of Yan Country, to keep them apprised of the situation.

At the scene, nearly 30 huge rocks tumbled down the cliff and slammed into the dark swarm of the Beast Race below.

Chu You understood that the information was appearing because his side had caused casualties to the Beast Race. Otherwise, the information wouldn’t have been displayed.

Beasts on the slope hadn’t died, but their health was significantly reduced. Especially those at the back who were slammed by the boulders, most of them were dead because the boulders rolled faster and faster down the slope.

Seeing more of the Beast Race surge forward again, Chu You commanded again on the all-channel transmission, "Listen to me, nobody moves."

As the enemy grew closer, the players heard Night Ghost’s voice, "All warriors at the entrance, activate your skills! Prepare for contact!"

"Alright, warriors, group up! Group up!" Chu You said on the all-channel transmission when he saw the two forces were about to meet.

The battlefield exploded in intensity. Beasts and warrior players fell, one after another. Because the battlefield was solely warriors, healers were too far away to be of any help.

This was a full-on clash!

"Don’t retreat! If someone falls, the rest step up! Everyone, fight forward!"

"Don’t hesitate or fear, victory will be ours!" Chu You looked back at the ravine and saw the Beasts swarming toward them in large numbers after being struck by the boulders.

The Beast Commander cracked his whip, and the horns echoed throughout the canyon once more.

This seemed to signal a new marching order. A fresh wave of Beasts appeared, not pushing forward but instead wielding ropes with iron hooks on one end. This was a siege weapon for scaling walls, called a grapple hook.

As these beasts with significant arm strength swung their ropes, the grapple hooks were flung into the sky, finally securing themselves into the ground above.

Once attached, the Beasts adeptly and quickly started climbing up. More Beasts behind them followed suit, grapple hooks coming in thick and fast from the canyon below.

"Those near the cliff, attack the Beasts climbing up! Surround them one by one! Everyone else, move forward!"
