Chapter 309: Chapter 310 Blueprint of the Flying Boat

The pairs immediately began battling, but it was clear that the NPCs were now at a disadvantage.

When the Battle Demon Princesses’ haze enveloped the area, some NPCs couldn’t help but panic, shouting, "Sect Leader, my mana has vanished, I can’t use my flying sword anymore." This NPC could only passively resist the attacks of the Battle Demon Princess without being able to effectively counter-attack.

One of the Battle Demon Princesses used ’Combat Magma Tsunami’ and a fire started in the front hall. This made Chu You widen his eyes and take a large stride forward until he was sprinting. The next moment, Chu You vanished suddenly, only to reappear in front of the hall door.

Chu You kicked the wooden door open with one foot and dashed inside.

Ahhh, my treasures, don’t you guys overdo it...

Fortunately, the lava flames have only scorched the external layer of the structure and haven’t got inside yet. However, there was quite a bit of smoke inside, so Chu You had to hurry and find the blueprint.

Would the blueprint be on the Sect Leader? Though it was possible, given the fire, Chu You decided to be safe. As he knew, NPCs were not like experience monsters, with all their belongings on them. NPCs were like players, who could have anything.

Just as Chu You was skillfully rummaging through the place, he saw his XP increase out of the corner of his eye. Screams followed from outside, indicating that there were already NPCs dying.

Opening a hidden wooden box, Chu You was elated. There were actually two gold bars, each of which could be exchanged for 100,000 Gold Coins.

In this poor sect, there were actually two gold bars. This might possibly be all their wealth...

Why didn’t Chu You buy it from them? Damn, one of Chu You’s purposes for coming here was to grind the morale value of the Battle Demon Princess; he planned to devastate this place. Uh...as for foreplay, well, executing without any groundwork isn’t enticing. A prelude always adds charm.

Just then, Chu You stumbled upon a switch. His heart racing, he pressed it, and the bookshelf beside him moved, revealing a secret door.

Chu You didn’t hesitate and immediately went inside.

As he entered, Chu You saw someone sitting inside...

Upon a closer look, it was an unrotted corpse that had already passed away. This was evidently a secret room. Although small and sparsely decorated, Chu You knew he had come to the right place from the few decor items present.

These decorations were all large wooden ship models, and judging from previous conversations, the actual ships these models represented must have been extraordinary.

Yes, this sect was quite powerful in the past and could even construct real flying boats. However, they eventually fell into decline, as all sects do, and now their former glory is all but extinguished, and they had even lost their inheritance techniques.

If that’s the case, then leave it to me!

After searching and looking around, Chu You’s finally focused on the individual sitting in front of him. That person was covered in a robe, and under it, Chu You was certain he would find the hands of the deceased.

Chu You walked over, grabbed the robe and tore it away, finally revealing the man’s hands. There in his grip was a black wooden box.

Could it be more gold coins?

Chu You grabbed the box but frowned as the man’s grip was incredibly firm. Chu You forcefully pulled at it and finally wrested the black box away.

The deceased’s dried up hands were now completely empty.

I’m... sorry....

After opening the box, he saw a scroll within. He unrolled it and his eyes lit up - it was indeed the blueprint for the flying boat!

He laughed loudly, placing the scroll into his spatial backpack before turning and walking out.

By now, a huge fire was already blazing here, yet Chu You didn’t seem daunted in the slightest, strolling through with a calm and composed manner, the raging flames causing him no harm whatsoever.

When he emerged from the irrecoverable house, what caught his eye was a scene of bloodshed. The Battle Demon Princess’s devilish magic seemed to inflict brutal damage on the humans, causing their deaths to be tremendously agonizing. Chu You passed by a corpse, noting its dried-up flesh as though its soul had been devoured by a ghost.

The fight was still on, the Sect Leader had his arm severed.

The Sect Leader, sword in his remaining hand, roared out angrily. Just then, a Battle Demon Princess reached out her sharp claws in a surprise attack from behind him.

"Ah!" Sensing the threat behind him, the Sect Leader of the Dragon Soaring Temple loudly bellowed as he swung his sword around. In Chu You’s view, the word ’block’ appeared, indicating that the earlier Battle Demon Princess’s attack had been thwarted.

What a pity... Chu You shook his head, pulling out his weapon and joined in the fight against the Sect Leader. By now, the Sect Leader, covered in blood, was left with only a fifth of his blood quantity.

Lin Luor keenly sensed Chu You’s arrival and, after a moment of thought, immediately activated the Legacy Skill: Guardian.

During the run, Lin Luor pointed at Chu You, who was over 80 metres away. An immediate connection formed between them. As Chu You prepared to use teleportation, he suddenly decided to choose the Marking Technique that Lin Luor had cast on him.

In an instant, Lin Luor, still in the midst of running, steadily approached the Sect Leader of the Dragon Soaring Temple. At that moment, Chu You appeared beside Lin Luor, as almost invisible fluctuations swiftly expanded from his location.

The Sect Leader, previously in a berserk state, dropped his sword and clutched his head with his remaining hand. He had been stunned.

Due to Lin Luor’s relatively weak attributes, the original 1.6 seconds stun duration became 1.3 seconds; the Sect Leader was about to recover.

Chu You gave Lin Luor a smile, mentally praising her performance before calmly using ’Dragon Breath Fluctuation.’ This skill immediately floored the Sect Leader of the Dragon Soaring Temple, triggering the ’Jump Stab’ skill. Chu You was seen leaping high into the air, launching himself towards the fallen figure four metres away.

-4102!

A ’gush’ of blood spouted from the opponent’s mouth. The Sect Leader of the Dragon Soaring Temple clenched Chu You’s halberd with tight fists, emitting painful shrieks. His eyes, however, were fixed on Chu You, who was standing over him with an indifferent expression.

"You damned wretch, you’ll die a terrible death!"

"Shut your crap." Glancing at his opponent’s remaining blood, Chu You abruptly drew out his weapon and gave it a vigorous swing while simultaneously turning away, not even bothering to look at the aftermath as he sheathed his weapon on his back.

The Sect Leader still had a trace of blood left. He wanted to speak but couldn’t because Chu You’s swing had ruptured his throat.

A pair of demonic boots silently landed beside him. The Sect Leader of the Dragon Soaring Temple struggled to turn his head towards them only to find the Battle Demon Princess curiously observing him before suddenly flashing him a sweet smile.

It appeared as though the Sect Leader was hallucinating at that moment. He mistook the person before him for a familiar figure from his past, and surprisingly, he began to smile too.

As the Sect Leader’s essence was drained by the Battle Demon Princess, the battle here finally neared its conclusion.

After opening the army interface, Chu You started to check the morale level of the Battle Demon Princess.

Chu You discovered that the highest morale level reached was 57, while the lowest was 42. The higher the morale level, the stronger the attack power of the Battle Demon Princess. Satisfied with the performance so far, Chu You was content.

As for personnel losses, they were minimal, without any additional casualties. The battle had ended without a loss!
