Chapter 292: Chapter 293: Setting Off Again
Seizing this interval, Chu You opened the army interface and checked the status of the Battle Demon Princesses. All 40 of them, no more, no less, were present. From the interface, Chu You could see that the Battle Demon Princesses who had lost blood were now slowly recovering, most likely due to Lin Luor’s healing magic.
"Night Ghost, we’ve prayed for her. We believe she’ll be better off in another world." Grandmaster Ouroga came up to Chu You and said in a heavy tone.
Chu You nodded, "Alright, let’s set off then. My troop is waiting up front."
"Alright, let’s set off now."
It wasn’t long before the two groups met up. Ouroga looked around a few times, puzzled because he couldn’t see the grave he’d expected. He turned to Chu You, whose face was heavy, and the words he wanted to say choked back...
And so, the entire troop advanced toward their destination. Chu You understood that this escort mission would be challenging. However, he had T9 level variant troops, and not just a few, but 40 of them! This made the seemingly challenging escort journey much easier for Chu You than for other players.
Why did Chu You insist on bringing Ouroga into his ranks, even at the expense of time to do so?
It’s because Chu You took notice that Ouroga was a Master Blacksmith. As of now, no player specializing in life professions in "Celestial World" has reached the expert level, especially in Metal Crafting and Weapon Crafting professions. Chu You wasn’t specialized in either of these life professions, so when he obtains a Holy-level Blueprint, who would he ask to make it?
Moreover, as long as he has the material, he could keep crafting infinitely...
If he had saved Ouroga earlier, maybe Ouroga would’ve been willing to craft a sacred equipment for free out of gratitude. But the cost of this is enormous!
Although it’s free, Ouroga doesn’t have the blueprint. But when you give him the blueprint, once he masters it, the blueprint would disappear. It’s not worth it! Even if he manages to send them to their territory and then request a few more sacred equipments, it’s still not worth it. Therefore, the best plan right now is to keep Ouroga by his side to serve him forever.
Ouroga is a Master Blacksmith, a very rare and valuable asset, which includes both Metal Crafting and Weapon Crafting. He has almost a 0% failure rate when crafting level 30 Sacred Equipment!
Even a life profession player who has reached expert level has a high rate of failure crafting level 30 Sacred Equipment. Also, even if successful, there’s little chance of producing Dragon Language Equipment. So, what is this Dragon Language Equipment?
That’s the appeal of Sacred-level Dragon Language Diagrams, but that’s a story for another time.
Based on all the above, it was imperative for Chu You to secure Ouroga’s allegiance, no matter the means!
When the team entered the canyon, they encountered another Beast Race army. However, this time there were few of them but were more powerful due to the presence of Cyclops. There were five of them guarding the area. However, this didn’t hinder Chu You. Leveraging the power of the 40 Battle Demon Princesses, they quickly eliminated the guards.
Then, the undead pursuers showed up again. This time they were led by a Necromancer who sat atop a flying dragon. He implemented a death curse on Chu You and the others while summoning skeleton warriors.
However, the Battle Demon Princesses, who had become adept in dealing with flying dragons, soon eliminated the creature, causing the Necromancer to fall. After that, Chu You and the dwarves pounced, and under Lin Luor’s healing magic, the Necromancer was killed. The whole process was filled with cheer. Even Lin Luor showed a smile. It was clear that this pure-hearted girl was gradually being corrupted by Chu You.
In the end, the entire team arrived at a large mountain and began to ascend. The dwarves’ expressions eased, for they were finally nearing the altar, and reaching the altar meant returning home. This altar was a teleportation array built by the dwarves.
Cold winds blew through the mountain ranges, stirring their hair. Chu You saw Ouroga dismount from his tiny unicorn and step by step, approached the altar built on a flat land in the mountain’s midriff.
Ouroga suddenly held several mysterious rune stones in his hand, placing them carefully and cautiously into various devices on the altar. The altar was instantly activated, its rune pattern glowing brightly.
Each dwarf passing Chu You would bow to him, expressing their heartfelt gratitude before stepping onto the altar.
The elder Ouroga came over, patted Chu You’s shoulder, and nodded, "I’ll tell you the location of the God Iron now. Here." He handed Chu You a worn parchment scroll with a map drawn on it, presumably the location of the God Iron. Chu You took a glance and tucked it away.
System: You have accepted a task from Forging Grandmaster Ouroga to acquire God Iron.
"I won’t say much else. Be careful, the Beast Race has heavily fortified that area. I’ll be waiting for your good news! I hope you can complete it soon, if the Beast Army attacks us, we might have to hide and by then you might..."
"I know. Don’t worry. The situation is indeed dire." He reached the teleportation altar, examined his options, and made a selection. A new interface popped up, an interface for teleportation. A dashed line connected this place to his guild’s teleportation array.
A smile crept across Chu You’s face. As expected, he immediately activated this teleportation channel. Now, he could instantly reach this place through his guild’s teleportation array.
And once here, he could teleport directly to the Dwarf Tribe’s territory...
"My friend, Night Ghost, you truly surprised me. You actually connected our teleportation array to another place using the Law of Space?" Dwarf Ouroga was utterly astonished.
"Indeed, that place is my territory."
"Good, good, good! This will save a lot of time. I’m relieved that you are serious about completing the task. Remember, after you acquire the God Iron, you can teleport to my tribe’s land from here. This rune stone of my tribe is also made of God Iron, its quality, however, cannot compare to the God Iron in the Beast Race’s domain. It will assist you in acquiring the God Iron as well. Keep it safe, you can also use it when teleporting!" Ouroga handed Chu You a strange stone with runes on it after he finished speaking.
Chu You put the stone away and formally bid the Dwarf Tribe farewell. Amid a burst of light, Chu You and the others waved back at the dwarves standing on the altar, who soon disappeared.
Chu You then opened up the map again, earnestly examining it. With a gleam in his eyes, he realized where the place was.
That place... Chu You stroked his smooth chin, a reminiscing look in his eyes, culminating in a cruel smile.
Opening the army interface, he found that the physical strength value of the Battle Demon Princess was full. He gave Lin Luo’er another set of Dark Feathered Wings as the previous one’s time had expired.
"Let’s fly!" Chu You was the first to open his wings and took flight.
Lin Luo’er unfurled her new dark feathered wings. These wings mirrored those of a true fallen angel, and they looked incredibly charming paired with Lin Luo’er’s appearance, making her look exactly like a fallen angel herself.
