Chapter 288: Chapter 289: Fly Dragon

I really didn’t expect to encounter a gold coin resource mine here, it’s beyond unexpected.

God, you are really on my side, aren’t you!

"Homer, do you know what kind of resource mine is ahead?"

"Seeing how excited you are, I will let you talk."

"You’ll know once you get in there, let’s go!"

After saying that, Chu You eagerly went ahead with fast steps and everyone else immediately followed behind.

When Chu You and Lin Homer entered the cave, a system prompt appeared.

System: You have discovered a Level 3 Gold Mine. The total yield of this mine is 5 million gold coins, and there are still 5 million gold coins remaining.

"A gold mine? 5 million gold coins?" Lin Homer was surprised by what Chu You said, her face full of disbelief.

In the cave, its stone walls were embedded with glistening gold, which was very eye-catching. All players could mine gold here. With a pickaxe, and a body-strengthening potion, anybody could get rich here.

"Yes, gold mines are very special, they have a total amount. Once this gold mine is exhausted, it’s scrapped." While speaking, Chu You had a reminiscence in his eyes. The value of the gold mine is self-evident, but in the past, every gold mine, once widely known, was often a hot spot for killings!

It’s hard to have a harmonious co-existence scenario like other resource mines. "You mine yours, I mine mine, and everyone doesn’t cross each other’s boundaries". Gold mines are different. Any rules here are useless, only strength matters!

The dragon monsters inside the Level 3 gold mine are the same as those in the Level Five Resource Mine, both are Level 30 three-star elite dragon monsters.

Without saying anything, Chu You got to work immediately, leading a group of Battle Demon Princesses to sweep across. Even though the morale value BUFF had disappeared and dropped by 30 points, their combat power was still not to be underestimated, they fought their way in unimpeded, ridding the cave completely of dragon monsters, until only the Dragon Clan’s Guardian God Soldier was left at the back.

’Crash bang crash bang’, after beating the Dragon Clan’s Guardian God Soldier up and ransacking it, Chu You finally occupied this Level 3 Gold Mine. The symbol of ’Celestial World’ guild appeared above the entrance of the cave outside.

System: You picked up a sacred-level "Blueprint: Production: Holy Metal Boots of the Red Dragon King" and a sacred-level "Blueprint: Production: Holy Monk Sword of the Red Dragon King."

Wow! A weapon blueprint exploded unexpectedly. Although it’s not a weapon for my profession, but for a Sorcerer Swordsman, this profession is indeed a popular one among the Warrior Class, which means there are many players who became this profession. In other words, their weapon demand is large.

System: Congratulations, you have successfully occupied a Level 3 Gold Mine, this gold mine will bring you an income of 20,000 gold coins per day.

20,000 gold coins per day, that’s 40,000 gold coins in real time. The 5 million gold coins, divided by 40,000, mean that this gold mine will only be fully exploited automatically after 125 days in reality, and 250 days in the game. It’s not realistic to exhaust this mine just by relying on automatic credits man!

Sooner or later, it will be discovered by other players and may cause big troubles. Even if it doesn’t attract any trouble, players will come here to mine, and by then, I won’t be the only one to monopolize the entire gold mine.

Everything else is fine, but not for gold coins!

So the question is, how can I quickly exhaust this gold mine and have all the gold coins deposited into my account?

Chu You pondered for a moment and then thought of a feasible method.

Upon opening the map, his gaze finally landed on a lake area within the Yan Kingdom. Chu You knew, it’s a Level 40 area. He glanced at the time, and his mind immediately formed a plan.

During the day, I should try to occupy as many resource mines as possible, the rest can wait until the night...

And so, the group took to the air once again, straying deeper into the Beast Tribe Territory while searching for resource mines.

After flying for 8 minutes, Chu You noticed several dragon shadows appearing in the sky ahead...

His eyes narrowed immediately, and he halted. Those following behind him also stopped.

Encountering a flying great lizard at this time was indeed inconvenient. Chu You knew how difficult it was to deal with a western dragon flying in the sky.

It was a true member of the Dragon Race, purebred and extremely powerful in all attributes, with levels exceeding 100. All their species were superior.

Ironically, finding a true giant dragon was usually difficult. Other than the giant flying dragons permanently stationed at the Dragon Cliff Palace located in the North Pole’s center, most members of the giant dragon clan kept their nests extremely hidden and in harsh environments. Even if one does find a nest, there’s a chance that its owner might be out either foraging or mating. Or, they might be engaging in some acts humans refer to as evil dragon deeds, such as kidnapping human princesses or plundering wealth...

This resulted in a phenomenon where low-level players in low-level zones might look up and see dark shapes in the high sky. They could mistake these for part of the game’s background, when in fact these could be giant dragons...

From the above, it’s apparent that the movement patterns of giant dragons are not fixed. They could appear in any area, as they have a lot of autonomy. It’s generally known that dragons have a habit of long hibernation due to their extremely long vitality. However, in "Celestial World," this is not the case. The dragons do not hibernate because they are preparing for "the great disaster"!

The big background of "Celestial World" involves drastic changes in the game’s natural environment, with all creatures struggling for survival space. Against this backdrop, players make their arrival...

"What’s wrong? Huh? What’s that up ahead?" Lin Luor flew over, asking out of curiosity while also noticing the abnormality ahead.

Chu You reached out and touched his nose, saying with some frustration: "It’s quite frustrating to find a giant dragon but not be able to play the dragon slayer. Wait a...huh?" A glint of understanding flashed in Chu You’s eyes as he noticed something.

It seemed that those dragon shadows were not massive...and there was a humanoid figure sitting at the place where their long necks connected to their bodies.

Something was amiss!

"Let’s go closer and have a look." At a reduced speed, Chu You slowly migrated to where the apparitions were, followed by a group of enchanting shadows.

As he got closer, Chu You gradually noticed something wrong. Those dragon shadows upfront seemed to be attacking prey in the forest below. Occasionally, they would unleash heart-rending roars that greatly differed from a dragon’s roar. At this point, Chu You was one hundred percent sure that they were not real dragons.

If it isn’t a dragon, then what could it be?

When he got closer, Chu You could hear the sounds of a struggle and clearly see what those dragon shadows truly were. He recognized them instantly.

These were several Flywyrms, species that belong in neither the dragon nor the drake taxonomies.

Other than some visual similarity to flying dragons, they did not possess dragon-like characteristics. They were known as Flywyrms because, among the dark species, they were considered mid-rank and resembled dragons to some extent. (The dark species include creatures such as vampires from the Blood Race, zombies, werewolves, etc. The undead are distinguished nobles among the dark species, even forming a separate system).

Flywyrms enjoy areas with a strong stench and are particularly fond of the putrid smell that dead bodies emit. They are carrion eaters, and find the corpse fluid from bloating bodies to be delectably nourishing.

Flywyrms also possess substantial combat power. They boast a robust body, covered not in scales, but a thick layer of keratin that can resist most physical and magic attacks. They exhibit a black dorsal coloration, while their lower bodies, their weak points, are a pale yellow. Attacking them there could inflict severe damage.

Unlike dragon eyes which put forth an intimidating gaze, Flyworm eyes resemble those of typical herbivores, with either black eyeballs or white pupils.

Flywyrms only possess one innate piece of magic, the Sound Barrier Black Magic, which can cause severe headaches in enemies. Their sharp, backwards curving claws, combined with their powerful bodies, can cause significant destruction to human infrastructures.

Due to their low intelligence, they are often used as mounts by the higher-ranking dark species, which they greatly please.
