The Temptation of CEO's Pregnant Ex-Wife
Chapter 435: He Might Not Make It

Chapter 435: Chapter 435: He Might Not Make It

"He probably knew he couldn’t compete with you, so he simply gave up to avoid being too embarrassed when the time came," Meng Qiancheng couldn’t think of a better reason.

Moreover, this reason was the most persuasive.

Zhou Chenyan took a sip of red wine, feeling the slightly astringent taste roll down his throat, and said with a half-smile, "No wonder you’re no match for Zhou Lin."

Meng Qiancheng’s face darkened slightly, and he clenched his fists.

"I heard you met Cheng Zhiwei in Sea City," Zhou Chenyan mocked his affection, "Can’t even handle a woman, truly useless."

Just then, someone behind them said respectfully in a low voice, "Second Master, the people are here."

Zhou Chenyan turned around, cocked his head, and surveyed the line of women standing behind the man.

They were dressed in identical white dresses, their long black hair flowing down their backs, and no matter how one looked at them, each more or less resembled Lin Yu.

The subordinate asked respectfully, "Are you satisfied?"

"That one," Zhou Chenyan nonchalantly pointed to a girl next to him.

The girl shuddered, her eyes filled with deep fear; she stepped back and instinctively shook her head.

"No."

Zhou Chenyan, however, seemed to see something amusing; he strode over.

He gripped her wrist tightly, took a sip of wine, then handed the wine glass to his subordinate while he himself pinched the girl’s chin and leaned in to pass her a mouthful of wine.

The girl clenched her fists, tears of humiliation running down her face, her expression defiant.

Zhou Chenyan glanced at Meng Qiancheng and then pointed to another woman on the other side for him, "This is my gift to you, enjoy it."

With that, he dragged the person into a nearby room.

Soon, the girl’s screams echoed from the room.

The remaining girls all shivered, their faces pale, grateful that they had dodged disaster today, yet who knew if tomorrow it might be their turn.

"Get out," someone hissed lowly, leading them away.

The woman whom Zhou Chenyan had pointed out shakily approached, "Young Master."

Meng Qiancheng ignored her; he stood by the railing watching people drink, the scene before him falsely lively, while behind him were the girl’s screams, a situation hard to stomach.

Yet he showed no sign of discomfort.

Gathering her courage, the girl timidly called out, "Brother Qiancheng."

Meng Qiancheng’s eyes changed subtly, he slowly turned around and looked down at the girl in front of him, only then realizing that the woman bore a face similar to Cheng Zhiwei’s.

And that pure demeanor, just like her back then.

The clever girl who called him "Brother Qiancheng."

His blood surged.

In a hoarse voice, he asked her, "What is your name?"

"Weiwei," the girl said, lowering her head, her long hair covering half of her face, instantaneously making the already similar features look even more alike.

Meng Qiancheng’s throat tightened, he directly picked her up and carried her into the opposite room, pressing her into the bedding.

His heavy breathing was filled with restrained shivering and self-hypnosis, she was his Weiwei.

He called out that name repeatedly, immersing himself.

After a long time, the party downstairs had dispersed, the noisiness becoming desolate, and the sound of screams behind him had stopped.

Again, after some time, the door behind him opened; a girl, barely clothed, stumbled out.

Her white dress even had spots of blood on it.

The expressionless bodyguard mercilessly dragged her away.

Her fate was imaginable.

In a dark corner of the hotel’s back alley, the girl’s hair was grabbed, her soft body forcibly pressed against a trash can as the bodyguard unbuckled his belt.

With one hand pressed against the girl’s pale back, he sneered, "He couldn’t satisfy you, but I’ll make sure you didn’t come here for nothing tonight."

She was treated like a rag, at his mercy.

She had already broken down.

But before the bodyguard could fully take off his pants, a black plastic bag suddenly covered his head, and before he could react, he was brutally punched in the stomach.

Then he was shoved out, his head hitting the wall with a "bang," and he fell to the ground.

When he got up and tore the plastic bag off his head, the alley was empty.

Ignoring his pain, he searched around but found no one and dared not make a scene, considering those girls still had to be returned and hush money had to be given.

But one girl was missing.

However, it didn’t matter, he supposed she wouldn’t dare speak out.

Holding onto a sliver of hope, the bodyguard straightened his clothes and returned to the second floor.

Half an hour later, in a dark corner nearby, a black car made sure the surroundings were safe before starting and leaving.

Zhang Yuanheng entered the office, ensuring no one was around, then quickly stepped into the rest room.

Zhou Lin was reading a book calmly, his pose elegant, completely unlike the haggard man shown in the photos online.

"How is it?" Zhou Lin closed the book and asked.

A flicker of pity crossed Zhang Yuanheng’s face, "Too ghastly to look at."

The girl’s body had almost no intact skin, she was severely abused.

Zhang Yuanheng questioned, "It’s different from the girl who was sent here before, the gynecologist said the marks on her weren’t caused by the body but looked like tools were used, unlike the previous girl who was forced to have intercourse."

That girl had mental issues and was suicidal.

Nothing could be gotten out of her.

Disgust flashed across Zhou Lin’s face as he coldly said, "Tools? Could it be that he’s impotent?"

Zhang Yuanheng: "Huh?"

"The one who was with her was Zhou Chenyan’s bodyguard, this one was rescued earlier, so..." Zhou Lin explained, the smirk on his lips icy, "so maybe Zhou Chenyan really is impotent."

"He’s impotent?" Zhang Yuanheng was shocked, he had seen Zhou Chenyan, though a bit older, he hadn’t seemed incapable.

Did he have some hidden illness?

"Let’s see when she wakes up," Zhou Lin was confident in his guess.

"Wait, your men went to save her, aren’t you afraid Zhou Chenyan will find out?" Zhang Yuanheng finally realized something was amiss. Zhou Lin should still have been at the police station, and moreover, he had been ousted by the Zhou Family. How could he possibly go to rescue someone?

His men also couldn’t make a move as they were supposed to maintain an image of poverty.

"He wouldn’t dare to say it," Zhou Lin was not worried about such a thing happening, because he understood Zhou Chenyan.

Zhou Chenyan was a capricious madman, with a bizarre personality, and an "only I reign supreme" mindset. Being touched by a subordinate after he had used a woman was an utmost disrespect to him.

If he knew, that man probably wouldn’t see the next day’s sun.

The bodyguard would definitely not dare to speak about it, let alone say he lost someone.

Still puzzled about the intricate details, Zhang Yuanheng took out a bottle of medicine and handed it to Zhou Lin, "This is for your wife, after taking it for two days, she’ll need to stay in the hospital."

"Thank you for your troubles."
