The Temptation of CEO's Pregnant Ex-Wife
Chapter 378: Finding Xu Tian

Chapter 378: Chapter 378: Finding Xu Tian

Cheng Zhiwei left the Seo Family, walking briskly.

Zhou Lin caught hold of her, somewhat helplessly, "Are you angry?"

Wen Yongan clearly didn’t like Cheng Zhiwei, so it was understandable that she was angry.

"I need to find Xu Tian." Cheng Zhiwei’s heart was set on finding Xu Tian; as for who disliked or liked her, she didn’t care.

Zhou Lin looked deeply at her and suddenly felt he had underestimated Cheng Zhiwei.

She had a good mindset.

"Let’s go right now," he said.

Cheng Zhiwei didn’t want to waste time, and once in the car, they headed to the He family together.

At eleven o’clock at night, they knocked on the He family’s door.

Cheng Zhiwei stood coldly in the living room, surveying her surroundings, and met the gaze of Mother He hurrying down the stairs.

Mother He smiled warmly and took Cheng Zhiwei’s hand on her own initiative, "Miss Cheng, what brings you here?"

"Where’s Tiantian?" Cheng Zhiwei shook off her hand, not giving face, and asked expressionlessly.

Mother He glanced upstairs, "It’s so late; she’s already gone to bed. If you’re here to see her about something, come back tomorrow."

"I want to see her now," Cheng Zhiwei spoke unhurriedly, but her tone was resolute.

She was here for Xu Tian.

Mother He, obviously troubled, said, "It’s really late, and she’s asleep with the child. If it’s not urgent, let’s wait until tomorrow."

"I have something important."

"Tell me, and I’ll pass the message to her."

Mother He’s resistance suggested that Xu Tian’s condition was certainly not all right.

Cheng Zhiwei pushed past Mother He and started to search, checking each room, "Xu Tian, where are you?"

"Xu Tian?"

"Tiantian?"

Mother He, alarmed, followed after her, "Cheng Zhiwei, who gave you permission to do this? Leave immediately, or I’ll call the police."

Zhou Lin smiled slowly and deliberately, "Auntie, if it were me, I definitely wouldn’t do such a thing at this sensitive time."

Mother He stiffened, turned, and pleaded with Zhou Lin in a humble voice, "Ah Lin, you and Lanzhi grew up together. Yes, he made a mistake, but you can’t be so ruthless."

Zhou Lin looked up at the second floor, "I gave him plenty of chances, but he never treasured them."

"Zhou Lin, you broke both his legs. Isn’t that enough?" Mother He, unable to bear it anymore, questioned loudly, raising her voice, "He did that for you back then because you liked Seo Zhenzhen. He was trying to help you. How can you treat him this way?"

Zhou Lin remained expressionless, totally indifferent to Mother He’s hysterical questioning.

After searching room by room, Cheng Zhiwei finally found Xu Tian.

She was in a sorry state on the bed, tied up with soft straps.

Seeing Cheng Zhiwei, her tears started to flow immediately.

"Zhiwei, you finally came."

Cheng Zhiwei hurriedly untied her and asked, "Did they tie you up here? Where’s He Yuming?"

Xu Tian, leaning on Cheng Zhiwei’s arm to stand up, allowed her tears to turn to anger, "He Yuming..."

She dragged Cheng Zhiwei and stumbled out, "He Yuming is with He Lanzhi."

As her words fell, the door across them was pushed open.

He Lanzhi sat in a wheelchair, his expression sinister as he glanced at Cheng Zhiwei and Xu Tian, "Who allowed you to come out?"

"Where is He Yuming?" Xu Tian asked through gritted teeth. He Lanzhi’s wheelchair blocked the doorway; she couldn’t get into the room.

"He’s asleep," said He Lanzhi, with a rare touch of tenderness, even though He Yuming disliked him. After spending these past few days together, he’d slowly started to see He Yuming’s good side.

Besides, sitting in a wheelchair, he felt particularly envious of the lively He Yuming.

Xu Tian pointed furiously at He Lanzhi, "He Lanzhi, let me tell you, it’s not over between us this time."

With a strong push, He Lanzhi’s wheelchair slid away and crashed into the wall.

Xu Tian entered the room and immediately saw He Yuming asleep in bed.

He was in pajamas, hiding under the covers.

His little eyes were filled with fear.

Seeing Xu Tian, he didn’t immediately rush over but anxiously urged her to leave, "Mom, you need to go fast. If Dad finds out, he’ll hurt you."

"Aunt Cheng is here; we’ll be fine," said Xu Tian, opening her arms with a pained expression.

He Yuming immediately leapt into Xu Tian’s arms, wailing and clutching her clothes, "Mommy."

He was truly scared, especially since He Lanzhi kept threatening that if he didn’t behave, he wouldn’t see his mother.

That’s why he had really tried to be good these past few days.

"It’s okay now; we’re leaving this place," Xu Tian said as she picked up He Yuming and walked out.

He Lanzhi blocked their way.

"Xu Tian, you can’t leave."

Xu Tian held He Yuming tight, her cold gaze filled with explicit hate that didn’t need any hiding.

"Let me tell you, He Lanzhi, not only do I want a divorce, but you and your mother will pay for kidnapping me," she said resoundingly, refusing to compromise.

The He family, in order to avoid divorce, had deceived her into coming and locked her in a room. When she tried to escape, they tied her up and tried to use He Yuming to coerce her into giving up that money.

She couldn’t forgive such an insult.

He Lanzhi’s hands were clenched on the wheelchair handles, the veins bulging, and his face darkened with helpless resentment, "Xu Tian, we can divorce, but you must leave the child."

"You have no right."

"Xu Tian," Mother He had hurried up, "We can discuss this." Seeing her, her smile was forced.

"There’s nothing to discuss; wait for the legal process," said Xu Tian, who had completely lost heart with them.

This incident had worn away all her feelings for the He family.

"Xu Tian, calm down; let’s talk properly."

Xu Tian didn’t want to speak another word to her and looked to Zhou Lin, "President Zhou, I don’t need that one month; make them go bankrupt as soon as possible."

Mother He’s eyes widened, "Was it you? You’re the one making Zhou Lin target our family."

Initially, it was He Lanzhi’s fault, but in truth, Mother He was unwilling to admit how deplorable He Lanzhi was because doing so would only lead people to criticize her for not raising her child well.

Now, with Xu Tian at fault, naturally, she pushed all the blame onto Xu Tian.

"Xu Tian, our family has been good to you; how can you be so ungrateful?" Mother He accused.

Xu Tian spoke only to Zhou Lin, "President Zhou, I don’t need a month; please make their family go bankrupt as soon as you can."

Holding He Yuming, she walked away without looking back.

Mother He stood there, turning pale, and finally burst into curses, "Xu Tian, you ingrate."

How much of an ingrate Xu Tian was, few knew, but the He family went bankrupt three days later.

When Xu Tian saw the news, she laughed, but as she laughed, she also cried.

She, too, had considered the He family a safe haven, her family.

But no matter how sincere she was, it couldn’t outweigh their blood ties.
