“Hmm, I have reached the point of break,” Damian muttered as he opened his eyes.
They were no longer normal; his irises, pupils, and sclera were all pitch black.
They were like two miniature black holes, an abyss of destruction that seemed ready to swallow everything that dared to look into them.
He turned his attention inward, checking his energy reserves, particularly his [Infinity Essence].
It had reached 1,350, an astronomically high number.
It might seem low, but it wasn’t.
For every point increase in energy reserves, the potency of each subsequent point rose exponentially.
After a few hundred points, every single point represented hundreds, if not thousands, of ordinary energy units compressed into just one.
And Damian’s energy reserves were even more unique and extraordinary.
Because of the numerous energies he had synced within himself, and the unparalleled quality of those energies, energy close to what the Universal Tree and the World Trees produced, his very existence defied comparison.
“I guess I can stop absorbing negativity now since it might become a slight problem when I cultivate positivity in Heaven…” he murmured.
Instantly, his senses spread outward, covering hundreds of meters in every direction.
The low-level demons had long given up trying to break through his defenses. Now, only the god-level demons remained: the top 30 Pillars of Hell, the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, and the Seven Demons of Sin.
Their combined assault had actually managed to leave faint marks on his telekinetic shield.
“I suppose I should reward them for their struggles, right?” Damian said, almost amused. “After all, they are doing everything they can to break my defenses and kill me.”
His eyes shifted back to their original crimson hue, but only for a heartbeat.
The next instant, they transformed into a purplish-red glow as his entire being erupted in a purplish-red aura.
In seconds, the remaining negativity surrounding him, once a thick dome of dark essence, was sucked into his aura and erased as if it had never existed.
The sight revealed him to the thousands upon thousands of powerful high demons, the most powerful being in the universe, sitting cross-legged, surrounded by a swirling, predatory energy that seemed alive, protective, and terrifying.
“What just happened?”
“What happened to that weird energy that was surrounding him?”
“W-Why do I feel like something very evil is about to happen?”
“…Something is coming…”
Every demon, from the weakest high demons to the mighty archdemons, felt it.
Damian’s presence was skyrocketing like a rocket tearing into endless space.
“Damn it, I feel like an ant before him… just how strong has Master become?” Lucifer muttered, his voice trembling.
“I expected him to surpass even a God King level being… but this strength, it’s off the charts, and it keeps climbing. Could he… could he have become a World-level being?”
Lucifer gulped.
His whole body shook uncontrollably.
Even though he told himself there was nothing to fear, that his master would not harm him, his body refused to calm down.
His instincts screamed danger.
The predatory aura around Damian surged thicker, denser.
His entire figure seemed to merge with the energy as it began to morph into shape, not one, but hundreds of terrifying monsters, abominations pulled straight from the darkest nightmares.
They grew larger and larger, towering horrors with countless, deformed eyes that made even the archdemons take an involuntary step back.
“We… we have to run…”
The demons finally realized their doom was upon them. Panic spread like wildfire as their minds clawed for an escape.
But the moment one demon tried to move, she felt her legs sink, stuck to the hellish ground.
An amber-colored magic circle glowed beneath her feet, binding her like her very flesh had merged with the land.
“No… no…” Panic filled her heart as she frantically looked around.
It was the same for every single one of them.
Every demon.
Every dark angel.
The 71 Pillars of Hell.
The Seven Deadly Sins.
The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.
Even the Demon King himself, Lucifer Morningstar, was frozen, unable to move.
“Trying to run won’t work… all of you will end up being devoured.” Damian’s voice cut through the battlefield like a blade.
His predatory aura surged forward, the hundreds of monstrous forms lunging as if starved for hundreds of thousands of years.
“No—”
“Please don’t—”
Their screams were useless.
In an instant, the monsters made of predatory aura reached the demons, swallowing them whole.
The battlefield fell silent.
There was no explosion, no earth-shattering quake.
No catastrophic display of destruction.
It was quiet.
Too quiet.
Damian’s attack hadn’t left so much as a scratch on the land, it simply erased the demons, devouring them as if they had never existed.
The only trace left behind were the echoes of their screams.
The predatory aura retracted rapidly, the monstrous forms dissolving as the energy flowed back into Damian’s body, along with every single demon it had devoured.
All that remained on the battlefield was a single figure, Lucifer Morningstar, the Demon King, kneeling on the scorched ground, trembling uncontrollably in fear.
He felt like he had lost the ability to breathe, all his powers sealed away, like a powerless ant waiting to be stomped.
As soon as the aura completely retracted back into his body, a series of prompts appeared before Damian.

[Beginning Evolution…]
In the next second, his whole presence began to change.
Within a couple more seconds, his presence had completely transformed, becoming something far more dangerous, more ancient than Hell itself.
As soon as this happened, every single demon in Hell sensed his presence, the presence of someone greater than any Arch Demon that had ever existed.
The presence of a demon capable of rewriting the very existence of the demon race itself.
In the next moment, the demons who had chosen not to respond to Damian’s war declaration, the ones who had no intention of being devoured by such a monstrous existence, as well as the factions of demons who did not associate themselves with the Demon King or his subordinates, rushed toward the overwhelming presence.
[Evolution complete]
It didn’t take as long as it had before.
Damian had grown too strong; now he could freely control his evolution, and the process itself no longer took more than a few seconds, as long as he met all the necessary requirements.
[You have transitioned into the Progenitor of the Demon race]
[Your race [High Demon] has evolved into the race [Progenitor Demon]]
[You have developed the Progenitor Ability [High Demon Creation]]
[You have developed the Progenitor Ability [Demon Soul Collection]]
[You have developed the Progenitor Ability [Authority of Sins]]
[You have developed the Progenitor Ability [Authority of Calamities]]
Unlike when he became the progenitor of vampires and werewolves, nothing flashy happened this time, because unlike before, he possessed complete control over his evolution.
His comprehension of the [Law of Control] and the [Law of Evolution] had already reached its peak.
He knew, felt, and understood every single thing that was happening during the process of evolution and could control every detail freely.
“Hmm…” A smile formed on his face when he sensed the presence of someone he liked very much.
He retracted all the remaining specks of dense miasma that had surrounded him during his evolution back into his body.
His appearance shifted from that of a normal High Demon to that of the Progenitor Demon.
His two horns grew longer, turning a thick reddish-black, spiraling upward back.
Then another pair of horns sprouted from the base of the first pair, similar in shape but slightly smaller.
His eyes returned to a normal human appearance, but his irises glowed with a deep, thick purple light.
Suddenly, out of nowhere, a huge, blinding red light shot down from the black-and-red sky of Hell, rapidly descending upon the Progenitor of Demons.
Just as the blinding light was about to strike him, a smaller orb of light burst out of Lucifer’s chest and shot toward the massive beam, merging with it just an instant before it reached Damian.
As soon as the combined light struck the Progenitor, his body released an intense radiance, illuminating the dark atmosphere of Hell with a crimson glow.
A system prompt appeared before his eyes.
[Requirements have been met…]
[You have defeated all the rulers of Hell, the Demons of Original Sin, and the Authorities of Calamities…]
[You have attained the Crown of the True King of Hell]
Just as the notification appeared, a red-and-gold, mercury-like liquid began to creep around his neck, flowing upward toward his head and around his two pairs of horns.
Like nanites, the liquid assembled itself into a crown, and within seconds, a fully-formed golden-red crown rested upon his head, seven red amber gems set around its ring, with an eighth, larger gem shining at the front.
[Your achievements have been recognized…]
[You have been chosen as the true Master of Hell by the Worlds of Hell of the Lower Plane…]
[You have attained the Unique Authority of Hell, [Master of Hell]]
[You have inherited the abilities of the Master of Hell]
[You have inherited the Ability [Flames of Torment]]
[You have inherited the Ability [Scepter of Souls]]
[You have inherited the Ability [Descent of Hell]]
[You have inherited the Ability [Necrodominion]]
“Hehe, she didn’t wait long to make me the Master of Hell.” Damian smiled, testing the feel of all the abilities he now possessed.
He could feel, see, and control every single thing within the world of Hell with just a thought, so much power that even the gods of the Upper Plane would envy him.
