Chapter 831: Chapter 831: Buy the Shop
The shop assistant, seeing Jing Yan take out a weapon, naturally assumed Jing Yan intended to sell it.
Within Rainbow Gown Divine City, there were indeed numerous commercial organizations that recycled various miscellaneous resources. The vast majority of martial artists who wanted to sell their surplus resources would choose these specialized institutions, as the prices were more fairly determined.
But there were exceptions.
Like this weapon shop, it not only sold weapons but also recycled weapons of various grades.
"What grade of weapon is this?" The assistant, taking Jing Yan’s Spiritual Artifact, briefly assessed it and then murmured in surprise.
He could confirm that the weapon in his hand was clearly not a Mortal Artifact. Upon closer inspection, he found it was also not a Magic Artifact.
Could it be a Dao Artifact?
If it were a Dao Artifact, then it would indeed be beyond the scope of what he, a mere shop assistant, could handle.
The assistant looked deeply at Jing Yan and said, "Please wait a moment, guest!"
He then quickly took the Spiritual Artifact and walked into the back room.
"Boss!"
"What is it? Didn’t I tell you not to disturb me unless it’s something important?"
Inside, a middle-aged man sat cross-legged, seemingly in meditation, so being interrupted by the assistant, he asked with an annoyed expression.
"Boss, someone has come to sell a weapon, and I can’t make the decision," the assistant said, bowing.
"Oh? Is it a Dao Artifact? Let me see!" the middle-aged man said, his eyes flashing as he reached out.
The assistant handed over Jing Yan’s Spiritual Artifact.
"The power is incredible!" As soon as the weapon was in hand, the middle-aged man exclaimed in surprise, his expression turning serious involuntarily.
"Yes, I also feel that this Dao Artifact is stronger than the several Dao Artifacts we have in the shop," the assistant chuckled.
"Dao Artifact?"
"Hmph, this is clearly a Spiritual Artifact," the middle-aged man said, taking a deep breath as a gleam of light flashed in his eyes.
The assistant’s eyes widened.
A Spiritual Artifact? How could that be?
If it were a Spiritual Artifact, would that person casually hand it over to him to bring in? Wasn’t that person afraid at all?
While the assistant was still lost in wild thoughts, the middle-aged man had already stood up and walked out with the Spiritual Artifact.
As for swallowing the Spiritual Artifact for himself, he had indeed thought about it, but could someone who could casually produce a Spiritual Artifact be an easy adversary?
The assistant quickly followed him out.
"Boss, this guest brought the Spiritual Artifact," the assistant pointed out Jing Yan and told the middle-aged man.
The middle-aged man, resting his gaze on Jing Yan, flashed surprise again. From the outside, Jing Yan looked too young, seemingly not like a martial artist who could casually produce a Spiritual Artifact.
Indeed, within Rainbow Gown Divine City, most who possessed a Spiritual Artifact were either from the Dao Emperor Realm or at the very least members of a major power from the Dao King Realm.
"Guest, this is your weapon!" The middle-aged man approached, both hands respectfully returning the Spiritual Artifact to Jing Yan.
Upon confirming that it was a Spiritual Artifact, the middle-aged man knew the visitor was probably not intending to sell it. After all, his shop could not even accommodate one Spiritual Artifact. Even if the other party did want to sell a Spiritual Artifact, they wouldn’t have come to his shop.
Jing Yan put away the Spiritual Artifact and smiled at the middle-aged man.
"Is this gentleman the owner of the shop?" Jing Yan asked with a smile.
"Indeed! May I know what instruction the guest has for visiting my humble shop?" the middle-aged man politely asked.
"I indeed have a matter. I want to buy your shop," Jing Yan stated directly.
He had chosen this weapon shop precisely to buy it.
"Buy my weapon shop?" The middle-aged man was slightly taken aback; he hadn’t expected this at all.
"Why would the guest want to buy my weapon shop? The location of this shop isn’t that great, if you want to buy a shop for business, there should be many better options available," the middle-aged man said, looking at Jing Yan.
"I have my reasons for choosing your shop. Perhaps you should see my offer before you decide," Jing Yan said, tossing over a Sumeru Ring.
The middle-aged man caught the ring and glanced through it with his mind.
Then, his eyes suddenly widened in shock as he gazed at Jing Yan.
Previously when Jing Yan produced a Spiritual Artifact, he had his doubts, wondering if Jing Yan actually knew it was a Spiritual Artifact or simply had great luck and stumbled upon it. Now he understood that the person was indeed extremely wealthy.
Inside the Sumeru Ring, there were ten million Spirit Stones in cash, ten million Spirit Stones!
The middle-aged man, although a Daoist Master Realm martial artist himself with some worldliness, still considered ten million Spirit Stones a staggeringly large figure. His entire wealth was, of course, over ten million Spirit Stones, but that was the total accumulation from various resources.
"Are you sure you want to use these Spirit Stones to buy my shop?" the middle-aged man suppressed the excitement in his heart.
This deal was too lucrative. His shop was clearly worth nowhere near ten million Spirit Stones.
"If you agree, then we can transact now. Also, I do not need any of the weapons in the shop, you can take them away," Jing Yan said, waving his hand with a smile.
Hearing this, joy filled the middle-aged man’s heart even more. On the spot, he took out the title deed and handed it over to Jing Yan.
"The shop is now yours, sir!" the middle-aged man said respectfully.
"What are you waiting for? Hurry up and pack up!" the middle-aged man turned to the dazed assistant beside him and sharply ordered.
"Ah? Yes! Yes!" the assistant finally reacted, hurriedly moved into action, and started collecting all the displayed weapons.
An hour later, the weapon shop’s sign had been changed, and the words ’Radiant Pill Store’ were hung up.
The middle-aged man and the assistant, after helping Jing Yan hang up the new sign, then respectfully bid farewell and left.
"Boss, you’ve run this shop for twenty years, how could you sell it off just like that?" the assistant asked curiously.
He still didn’t know that his boss had just received ten million Spirit Stones.
"Hmph, with him offering ten million Spirit Stones and not wanting any of the weapons in the shop, why wouldn’t I sell?" the middle-aged man glared at the assistant.
"What? Ten million Spirit Stones?" The assistant held his breath in disbelief, looking at the middle-aged man, "Boss, do you think that person is out of his mind? Ten million Spirit Stones just for this small shop?"
"Out of his mind? He casually brought out a Spiritual Artifact, casually had ten million Spirit Stones in cash. Could someone out of his mind manage that? However, him spending ten million Spirit Stones to buy this small shop just to open a pharmacy indeed seems strange."
"Never mind! Today’s business transaction was gratifying. Come on, I’ll take you to Zhenxian Building for a meal, you’ve followed me for twenty years and have never dined there, right?" the middle-aged man laughed.
