Chapter 776: Chapter 776 Persuasion
The black artifact emanating the aura of the Divine Clan contained information about the Qiankun Ring that left everyone, other than Gu Wanquan, deeply shocked!
"Master of Ten Thousand Gods?"
"To become the Master of Ten Thousand Gods? What exactly is this Master of Ten Thousand Gods?"
Nobody understood!
In fact, even Gu Wanquan had no concept of what the Master of Ten Thousand Gods was. Although he had covertly obtained this information, his understanding was limited to the belief that possession of the Qiankun Ring could make one extremely powerful, but as for the extent of that power, he was equally clueless. The information recorded on this Divine artifact was relatively vague and ambiguous, lacking concrete details.
The Gai Family had acquired this artifact and had been very careful to prevent the information from leaking out.
Even to the high-ranking members of their own family, aside from a very few individuals, the matter had not been mentioned to the others.
Gu Wanquan placed great importance on the information about the Qiankun Ring. For decades, he had been devising ways to obtain the Qiankun Ring, and kidnapping Jing Lunnan in secret was part of his plan to acquire it from him.
But in the end, he had failed.
"Mr. Gu, why show us this object? And what is the Qiankun Ring exactly? Could it be that the Qiankun Ring is in the possession of your Gai Family?" the Wu Family Ancestor inquired, looking towards Gu Wanquan.
"The Qiankun Ring is certainly not within my Gai Family!" Gu Wanquan replied with a narrowed, smiling gaze, "However, I do know who holds the Qiankun Ring in their hands!"
"What exactly is the Qiankun Ring? Where did it come from? And why does this Divine artifact have such information on it?" the Cheng Family Ancestor asked with a concentrated voice.
"The Qiankun Ring is an extremely powerful artifact! I believe it may be even more formidable than a Holy Artifact! My fellow Martial Artists, you are all aware of the Death Temple, correct?" Gu Wanquan looked at everyone.
"Do you know who built the Death Temple?" Gu Wanquan continued.
"It is said to have been left behind by an incredibly powerful individual from the Divine Clan," someone reflexively said.
"That’s right! The Death Temple was left by that powerful individual from the Divine Clan. And the Qiankun Ring was also left behind by them. According to my deductions, the Qiankun Ring should be linked to that Divine Strength’s inheritance, or in other words, it may contain a defying inheritance. Obtaining the Qiankun Ring may grant one access to that inheritance," Gu Wanquan proclaimed loudly.
The others’ gazes flashed at his words.
They all knew that the builder of the Death Temple was terrifyingly powerful, much more so than a Saint Realm Practitioner.
It was not difficult to judge this from the Formation that covered the entire Death Abyss. If one were to intrude during the closing period of the Abyss, even a Saint Realm Practitioner would have a slim chance of survival.
Before the war between Human Gods, dozens of Saint Realm Practitioners entered the Death Abyss, yet only two emerged alive.
This illustrated just how terrifying the owner of the Death Temple must have been.
If one could obtain his inheritance...
"Mr. Gu, you just mentioned that you know in whose hands the Qiankun Ring currently is?" the Lan Family Ancestor’s eyes narrowed quickly, looking at Gu Wanquan.
"That’s correct!"
"Now I can tell you! The Qiankun Ring is precisely in the possession of that bastard Jing Yan," Gu Wanquan stated with a fierce voice.
Mentioning Jing Yan, his rage was uncontrollable.
"In Jing Yan’s possession?"
"How could this be? How did Jing Yan acquire the Qiankun Ring? Could it be that... Mr. Gu, when you forced him into the Death Abyss, he happened to chance upon it?" Several people looked at Gu Wanquan with confusion.
"He didn’t obtain the Qiankun Ring just on that occasion; he had already acquired it before. If you think about it, how old is Jing Yan? He is barely forty years old, but what about his Martial Arts Cultivation? My fellow Martial Artists, if you were to face Jing Yan alone, how confident are you that you could defeat him?"
"I can say that Jing Yan’s strength is due to the Qiankun Ring!" Gu Wanquan spoke with a stirring tone.
The others fell silent, no longer speaking.
This was because, what Gu Wanquan was saying made a lot of sense. If the Qiankun Ring truly existed, then the likelihood of Jing Yan having obtained it was quite high. Otherwise, how could Jing Yan have stepped into the Dao Emperor Realm at just forty years old, and moreover, as a Dao Emperor Realm Practitioner with terrifying combat power.
Even Tong Yue, a powerhouse who had roamed the Continent for the past five hundred years, was slain at the hands of Jing Yan. Any one of them against Jing Yan would likely not emerge victorious.
If not for acquiring the Qiankun Ring and the incomparable inheritance of the owner of the Death Temple, how could Jing Yan be so strong?
Amid the slight shock, everyone’s thoughts quietly heated up. Jing Yan had grown so strong in just a few decades after obtaining the Qiankun Ring; what if they were to obtain it? Could they too step into the Saint Realm in the future?
On the Heavenly Origin Continent, there had not been a Saint Realm Practitioner for thousands of years.
The prospect of having the opportunity to ascend to the Saint Realm no longer allowed them to remain calm, and their eyes reddened slightly with excitement.
Gu Wanquan waited for a moment and, seeing that the timing was just right, he continued to speak.
"Now, with Jing Yan leading the Glory Alliance against my Gai Family, there’s a rare opportunity before us. If we kill Jing Yan, we will get his Qiankun Ring and the grand inheritance of the Death Temple owner. Would any of you brothers be willing to give up such a chance?" Gu Wanquan knew that the news of the Qiankun Ring he had thrown out to entice the other Six Great Families was a success!
This could be seen in the eyes of these six individuals.
They definitely were not willing to pass up the chance to obtain the inheritance from the owner of the Death Temple, even if it meant risking great harm to their families.
"Mr. Gu, I must admit, I am tempted."
"Now I would like to ask, if my Cheng Family helps your Gai Family defeat Jing Yan’s Glory Alliance, there is only one Qiankun Ring, how should we divide it?" The Cheng Family Ancestor looked around at the others and asked.
"Indeed, there is only one Qiankun Ring, and only one amongst our seven families can obtain it. I have a proposal, have a listen," Gu Wanquan said, having already thought through his words.
"Once we acquire the Qiankun Ring, we put it up for auction. All seven of our families can bid, and whoever offers the highest price gets the Qiankun Ring. As for the resources obtained from the auction, they are to be evenly distributed among the remaining six families. And if the inheritance within the Qiankun Ring can be replicated, then each of the other six families can copy one for themselves. If it can’t be replicated, then so be it!" Gu Wanquan’s proposal was most reasonable anyway.
Regardless, each family would gain from it. Those who didn’t get the Qiankun Ring would still acquire a vast amount of resources. And if the inheritance within the Qiankun Ring could be copied, then each family could gain an inheritance.
The others exchanged glances, subtly nodding to themselves in agreement.
They found no reason to refute Gu Wanquan’s proposal; they could not come up with a more reasonable suggestion.
"What do you all think of this proposal?" Gu Wanquan asked with a smile.
