The Sword God of the Universe -
Chapter 747: Want to Leave?
Chapter 747: Chapter 747: Want to Leave?
Jing Yan had mastered the second level of Sword Intent, and he didn’t need a longsword as a weapon. Every move he made could unleash an attack driven by Sword Intent.
Although this Sword Intent was far from matching the Power of Laws controlled by warriors of the Saint Realm, in this continent where there were no Saint Realm warriors, the might of the second level Sword Intent was nearly enough to sweep across the entire land, for he had already forged a mold of the Power of Laws.
During his attacks, one could vaguely perceive the might of the Laws.
"Sixth Hall Master, you are the fastest, quickly go to the Holy Palace to inform the Holy Master!" the Great Hall Master urgently yelled.
"Hall Master Jing Yan, hold on, you must block this move!" The Great Hall Master first instructed the Sixth Hall Master to report to Saint Master Shen Chong at the Holy Palace, before turning his attention back to Jing Yan, who was facing an attack from Tong Yue.
As long as Jing Yan could survive Tong Yue’s move without dying, those Hall Masters would be able to reach Jing Yan’s side in time to join forces against Tong Yue.
Of course, the Great Hall Master didn’t believe that they, the Hall Masters together, could completely confront the Great Demon, Tong Yue. Without the Holy Master here, his heart lacked confidence. Although they had made progress in Martial Arts over the past few centuries, in the same time, Tong Yue definitely hadn’t been idle.
Without any hesitation, the Sixth Hall Master made a smooth turn in mid-rapid flight and flew towards the Holy Palace. He knew that staying to influence the battle would not make much of a difference and that notifying the Holy Master immediately was the best strategy.
"Old thief Tong Yue, face your death!" Min Huo bellowed, hoping that by distracting Tong Yue, he would be unable to concentrate on taking down Jing Yan.
"Die! Die! Little thief Jing Yan, just die already!" Gu Xianlun muttered under his breath, veins on his neck throbbed excitedly with anticipation.
"Kid, you’re seeking your own death. I wasn’t planning on killing you; after all, you are a Hall Master of the Holy Hall. But you brought this on yourself by refusing my offer for a mere few Elixirs, which was already showing you too much respect!" Tong Yue looked at Jing Yan as if he were a dead man, mockery in his gaze. He rapidly clapped his hands down, colliding with Jing Yan’s resisting fist.
"Boom!"
The phantom silhouette formed by the fist clashed with the Palm Seal, letting out a thunderous noise that shook the heavens.
Ripples spread out from the site of their collision.
The entire space trembled!
The more powerful Martial Artists could see through the energy ripples, behind which a huge void black hole was revealed.
The collision of energy between Jing Yan and Tong Yue had actually torn a massive hole in the spatial barrier, not a mere crack, but a gaping maw large enough to fit several people, dark and foreboding.
Fortunately, this enormous hole was visibly closing at a rate visible to the naked eye.
"What?"
"No good!"
Tong Yue let out two cries of shock, and just after his voice sounded, his figure uncontrollably staggered backward several steps, his clothes shattering in an instant.
He stared wide-eyed at Jing Yan, disbelief etched on his face.
At that moment, Jing Yan hadn’t retreated even half a step; he stood upright in place. His blue robe rustled in the turmoil, but his body seemed embedded into the ground, only his shoulders had slightly shook.
"Damn it, how can this kid be so strong?" A sliver of terror flashed through Tong Yue’s mind.
Although it was only one exchange, Tong Yue already felt a flicker of fear. He had not held back in his attack; he had intended to kill Jing Yan as swiftly as possible to prevent interference from others. Therefore, he had used nearly all his strength in one strike.
But this move was easily blocked by Jing Yan, who even managed to send the attacker retreating. The assailant’s Martial Arts Meridians felt slightly numb, while Jing Yan seemed as if he had hardly been affected at all.
"Could this kid actually be stronger than me? Impossible!" Tong Yue was unwilling to believe it, but couldn’t find any other excuse. Jing Yan hadn’t used any external forces, which Tong Yue saw very clearly.
At the same time as Tong Yue was sent reeling, all the Martial Artists in the arena widened their eyes in shock.
Those who were aware of Tong Yue’s ferocity had thought that Jing Yan wouldn’t be able to withstand such a terrifying strike. Even if Jing Yan managed to survive, he surely would have been seriously injured. But the reality that unfolded before them was something none of them could have imagined. In this collision, it was Tong Yue who was completely at a disadvantage. What was going on?
Especially Gu Xianlun, he had been so excited that he was about to leap up, just waiting to celebrate Jing Yan’s death. However, he didn’t expect Jing Yan to be standing there unscathed, while Mr. Tong Yue had been sent flying back, his clothes torn to shreds.
He was dumbfounded!
Tong Yue was enraged and had made a move against Jing Yan, hoping that Tong Yue would kill Jing Yan outright. But he didn’t expect the situation to turn out as it had, making him feel a dryness in his throat. And those Ancient Family Elders were even worse off, breaking out in cold sweats.
The eight Hall Masters flying towards Jing Yan also halted their bodies in midair.
They had stimulated their Primordial Energy and rushed to aid Jing Yan at full speed, but after covering half the distance, they saw Tong Yue being repelled. For a moment, their minds went blank, utterly unsure whether they should continue to advance and join forces with Jing Yan to besiege Tong Yue.
"Tong Yue! You haven’t appeared on the Continent for hundreds of years. You really should have continued to hide, staying low and out of trouble."
"Now, you have no chance left. Today you will die here. Eliminating you will be doing the Continent a service," Jing Yan stared at Tong Yue, his indifferent voice permeated with a chilling intent to kill.
"..."
Tong Yue’s lips twitched slightly, but he made no sound.
"It’s not wise to stay here for long; it’s better to leave quickly. This Jing Yan is strange!" Tong Yue didn’t vocalize his thoughts, but his mind was already set on leaving.
With that thought, his entire body’s Primordial Energy surged once again, casting a silver radiance.
Jing Yan could see that the silver radiance emitted by Tong Yue was composed of fine weapons, appearing like silver needles, which in fact were probably hidden weapons. These silver needle hidden weapons moved at incredible speed, piercing the void without making any sound.
"Holy Light Sword Technique!"
Jing Yan drew out his black Spiritual Artifact longsword and slashed with it.
Black Sword Light spread out, sweeping across the space in front.
"Clang, clang, dong, dong!" The silver needle hidden weapons collided with the Sword Light, and a dense clashing sound echoed.
"Kid, I’ll take my leave today and let you live a few more days!" Taking advantage of this opening, Tong Yue dropped a line and flashed, preparing to fly away.
He had thrown the hidden weapons not to kill or seriously injure Jing Yan but to find an opportunity to leave. Because he knew that his hidden weapons were highly effective against ordinary individuals at the Dao Emperor Realm Peak, but they probably posed no significant threat to this peculiar Jing Yan.
"Trying to leave?"
"Do you think you can escape, Tong Yue, the fastest in the world?" Jing Yan said with a light laugh as he saw Tong Yue attempting to flee.
"Whirl!"
Above the Splendid Dojo, a Light Halo suddenly descended, with dazzling lights flashing, as if a lake was suspended in the heavens.
