Chapter 633: Chapter 633 Abyss Market

"Finally, we’ve entered the Despair Abyss!"

A figure stood on the blood-drenched land, attentively surveying his surroundings.

The entire space was shrouded in a dark red hue.

Even the light here had a chilling, blood-red quality.

The whole space exuded an ancient and mottled aura.

The air was thick with a cold killing intent that seemed omnipresent. Although Jing Yan felt that these dangers were not aimed at him, he couldn’t help but feel his heart pound.

"This region is truly terrifying. According to Senior Tianshui, this was the battlefield for the war between humans and gods five thousand years ago."

"Between heaven and earth here, countless human martial artists and members of the Divine Race have fallen. Their blood dyed the land and the skies red."

"This is a forbidden zone for the Human Clan. Upon entering, not only does the threat of the Divine Race loom, but with bad luck, one might encounter a real Divine Beast. Some powerful Divine Beasts possess the terrifying strength of the Human Saint Realm."

"However, if one could hunt a Divine Beast, the benefits would be equally astonishing. Golden Pattern Spiritual Beasts that possess Divine Beast bloodline can potentially yield Divine Beast Essence Blood—if one could hunt a Divine Beast, how much Essence Blood could be obtained?"

Jing Yan stopped in his tracks, his thoughts in turmoil.

Of course, he was just thinking idly; a real spiritual beast wasn’t something he could slay. If he really encountered a Divine Beast, he would undoubtedly be killed.

Even a Pseudo Divine Beast was more than Jing Yan could handle.

"Hmm, it’s still not safe here. Maybe the Gu Family will catch up soon." With that thought, Jing Yan moved deeper into the Despair Abyss.

The Despair Abyss was an immensely vast region. According to Tianshui, including the buffer zone, it was almost as large as the current Heavenly Origin Continent.

Jing Yan’s current position was in the outskirts of the Buffer Zone.

After the war between the Human Gods concluded, the Human Clan and the Divine Race signed a ceasefire agreement, prohibiting entry into each other’s territories.

The territories were demarcated carefully, comprising a Buffer Zone intentionally.

This Buffer Zone served as a separation strip between the territories of the Human Clan and the Divine Race. There was some activity from both humans and the Divine Race within the Buffer Zone. Encounters between the two often led to fierce conflicts.

If their strengths were similar, they might maintain some restraint. Because if their strengths were equal, clashing might lead to mutual destruction.

In the Buffer Zone, Jing Yan dared not fly arbitrarily.

In the air, he would be too conspicuous, visible from great distances. Jing Yan didn’t want to become a sitting target.

Therefore, he persisted in traveling on foot, delving deeper.

A month later!

A city came into Jing Yan’s view.

"That must be the Abyss Market, right?" Jing Yan gazed ahead.

Without Tianshui, Jing Yan wouldn’t have known that there would be a market within the buffering area of the Despair Abyss.

In fact, it was more of a small city rather than just a market.

This was a highly unique city where both humans and the Divine Race entered and exited—a profoundly chaotic city, but it had its rules. Namely, once inside the city, no human or member of the Divine Race could attack one another.

Those who didn’t adhere to this rule, be they human or divine, ultimately faced severe consequences. The market’s owner possessed unimaginable strength.

Tianshui had once visited this city known as the Abyss Market, which was established after the war between humans and gods.

It was said that the market was not founded by purely the Human Clan or the Divine Race but by a half-human who had both Human and Divine bloodlines.

This person belonged to a neutral camp, not siding with the Human Clan or the Divine Race.

With trepidation, Jing Yan entered the Abyss Market.

"Jing Yan, after entering the market, don’t interact with anyone because with your current level of cultivation, you can’t distinguish whether the others are human or divine. Moreover, even if they are humans, it’s not safe; incidents of humans killing each other occur here frequently. Sometimes, humans can be more dangerous than the Divine Race. Although they don’t dare to strike within the city, once you’re targeted, don’t even think about leaving. The moment you leave, you’ll surely be ambushed."

"So, unless necessary, don’t interact with anyone. Rest up but don’t delay; leave immediately. Your current strength is too low; any random human or divine being here could easily kill you."

Before entering the Abyss Market, Tianshui repeatedly cautioned Jing Yan.

Actually, even if Tianshui hadn’t warned him, Jing Yan would definitely not have drawn attention to himself. The individuals he saw on the streets all looked menacing, and their presence was substantial; they were clearly not the ones to provoke.

Only if Jing Yan was overly full and bloated would he willingly provoke these fierce beings.

He found some commercial institutions, bought supplies, and after briefly resting for a day, Jing Yan left the Abyss Market. He felt nervous staying in that place. If he had stepped into the Dao Emperor Realm, then he might not have to worry, but currently, he hadn’t even entered the Dao King Realm.

If not for the excessive consumption of his resources necessitating resupply, Jing Yan wouldn’t have entered the Abyss Market at all.

A few days after Jing Yan left the Abyss Market.

Gu Wanquan and others also arrived at the Abyss Market.

Outside a vast courtyard in the market.

"Gu Mo, Xian Lun, wait outside for me," Gu Wanquan spoke with a serious expression to the two Supreme Elders of the Gu Family following him.

"Yes!" the two responded.

There were guards outside the courtyard, but after Gu Wanquan showed a peculiar Jade Talisman, the guards let him enter by himself.

After waiting in a room for about thirty minutes, a black figure appeared in front of Gu Wanquan.

"Gu Wanquan, you’re still alive?" The black figure laughed heartily upon seeing Gu Wanquan.

A smile appeared on Gu Wanquan’s face too as he bowed respectfully to the black figure.

"Mr. Zhong, it’s a pleasure to see you!" Gu Wanquan was extremely respectful.

"Don’t be so formal; we’re old friends after all. Tell me, what brings you here this time?" Mr. Zhong waved his hand dismissively and asked directly.

"I’m looking for a human, but I’m not sure if he has entered the Abyss Market," Gu Wanquan replied, pulling out a portrait.

The portrait was indeed of Jing Yan.

"Oh? This person, how old is he now?" Mr. Zhong asked.

"Probably in his twenties, the person in this portrait is how he looks now," Gu Wanquan answered."

"Hmm, wait a moment, let me check," Mr. Zhong mused for a while then nodded, saying. He then left the room.
