Chapter 503: Chapter 503: The Might of the Great Sun Meteor [Third Update]
Another Daoist Master Realm!
In the moment that the elderly man in the silver robe burst forth, Jing Yan’s gaze locked onto him.
The vast Primordial Energy fluctuations emanating from this man caused palpitations, and Jing Yan’s gaze became extremely solemn. Although he could not yet confirm this person’s Cultivation Realm, Jing Yan had a sense that the strength of this Wen Family Supreme Elder might even surpass that of the Supreme Elder Wen Ru who had appeared earlier.
Turning his head, Jing Yan glanced at Zhou Shangyun. Zhou Shangyun had mentioned that within the Wen Family, there should be no Martial Artists whose realm surpassed Mr. Yin’s, but this silver-robed elder seemed to be a fearsome powerhouse in the Late Daoist Realm.
Jing Yan possessed the Sky Vaulting First Divine Skill, making him exceptionally sensitive to Qi fluctuations. From the silver-robed elder, he sensed energy fluctuations surpassing those of Mr. Yin.
"Wen Lan!" The gaze of the silver-robed elder fell on Wen Lan’s body on the ground; his voice carried a tinge of sorrow.
Then, the sharp gaze of the silver-robed elder fixated squarely on Jing Yan.
"I, Wen Xiangtian, have been in seclusion for thirty years and no longer involve myself in the affairs of the Wen Family. However, today, you killed my son Wen Lan, a crime unforgivable, and I will tear you to pieces!" the silver-robed elder declared, pausing after each word.
The sound carried intense murderous intent, each word seeming like it was formed from millennia-old ice. Rage burned beside him.
Wen Xiangtian?
The father of Wen Lan?
Jing Yan’s eyes widened, staring at the silver-robed elder.
"Wen Xiangtian is indeed not dead!" Zhou Shangyun held his breath slightly, also looking at Wen Xiangtian.
He had previously told Jing Yan that there should be no more than three Martial Artists in the Daoist Realm within the Wen Family. Zhou Shangyun could not be entirely sure, and this uncertainty was Wen Xiangtian. Wen Xiangtian had not been seen for a very long time, so Zhou Shangyun did not know whether Wen Xiangtian was dead or alive.
"This Wen Xiangtian, his strength is extremely formidable, probably surpassing Wen Ru!" Mu Liantian said, his expression grave.
The appearance of Wen Xiangtian, including Zhou Shangyun and all other Daoist Realm Martial Artists, caused everyone’s spirits to tremble slightly. The name Wen Xiangtian had been renowned throughout Lanqu County City two hundred years ago.
Wen Xiangtian belonged to the same era as Zhou Shangyun’s father, Zhou Tian. Considering his age, Wen Xiangtian should be between three hundred to four hundred years old, a bona fide old-timer.
"Supreme Elder, kill that little beast!"
"Kill Jing Yan!"
"..."
"Kill this bastard Jing Yan!" the people of the Wen Family roared out.
Their Clan Leader had been killed by Jing Yan; their hatred was imaginable.
Jing Yan stared at Wen Xiangtian, the black Short Sword in his hand buzzing with Primordial Energy. With a thought, Jing Yan sheathed the black Short Sword and held a blue Longsword in his hands. This blue Longsword was the Dao Artifact that Wen Lan had just been using. Although the black Short Sword was also a Dao Artifact, being a Short Sword made it slightly awkward to use.
"Swoosh!"
Wen Xiangtian spread his arms, and a surge of black light emerged in front of him. Upon closer inspection, one could see a Long Axe faintly visible within the black light.
This long axe, no one knew how many martial artists’ lives it had slaughtered or how much blood it had dyed, its murderous aura shot through the heavens. The entire space was covered with a terrifying intent to kill.
At the same time, a large number of innately-cultivated martial artists from the Wen Family Mansion had also gathered in one place. There were hundreds of innately-cultivated martial artists in the Wen Family. They converged in one spot, all staring at Jing Yan, clearly preparing to attack him together. Although they could not fly, they could still launch attacks on martial artists in the sky by using martial arts from the ground.
If it were a scattered attack, Jing Yan would not care, but the concentrated energy from the combined attacks of hundreds of innate martial artists was terrifying. Even a martial artist in the Daoist Realm would have to temporarily avoid its edge.
"Have they really gathered together?"
"How reckless!" Jing Yan saw the hundreds of innate martial artists gather, and a cold smile appeared on the corners of his mouth, aligning with his intentions.
With a thought, Jing Yan’s hand now held an array plate. Within this array plate was set the Great Sun Meteor Array.
Without any hesitation, Jing Yan channelled a stream of primordial energy into the array plate. Instantly, the array plate enlarged, spinning rapidly like a millstone. Then, with a swing of his arm, Jing Yan cast the rapidly spinning array plate from the high sky downward.
"Boom!"
A terrifying aura was released from the array plate.
The hundreds of innately-cultivated martial artists below had no time to think before they were completely enveloped by a dusky yellow energy.
"Open!" Jing Yan shouted lowly.
The dusky yellow light enveloping the Wen Family’s innate martial artists suddenly surged.
Everyone was stunned!
Anyone with a bit of knowledge could tell that Jing Yan had released an array formation with the array plate, and the gathered innate martial artists from the Wen Family were now covered by the formation. They all stared at the terrifying dusky yellow light.
"Rumble..."
A huge meteor fell from the sky, smashing fiercely towards the Wen Family’s innate martial artists.
The Wen Family’s innate martial artists, of course, sensed the danger. Realizing the meteor falling from above, they earnestly summoned their weapons and used martial arts to defend. However, despite their best efforts, they could only slow down the meteor’s speed, while shattering it proved to be exceedingly difficult.
"Splat!" The meteor hit the ground, and several innate members of the Wen Family were directly crushed onto the ground. After the meteor vanished, only several pools of crimson blood remained.
This meteor was formed of energy, not a physical object. Therefore, after the attack, the meteor also automatically dispersed.
"Rumble!"
"Splat, splat, splat!"
The attack of the Great Sun Meteor Array was clearly just beginning. After the first meteor struck, four or five huge meteors appeared in the sky, continuing to smash towards the Wen Family’s innate martial artists.
The Great Sun Meteor Array was essentially an attack formation for large groups. If a group of martial artists in the Dao Spirit Realm were trapped in the formation, they might resist for a while by combining their efforts. However, currently entrapped were only a group of innate martial artists, even those at the peak of innate were utterly unable to withstand the attack of the Great Sun Meteor Array.
It was their own fault; had they spread out, the range the Great Sun Meteor Array could cover would be limited and not very effective. Yet, they foolishly gathered together in hundreds, preparing to team up to attack Jing Yan. Little did they know, Jing Yan possessed a micro array, essentially leading them into a trap of their own making.
In merely the time of a breath, more than twenty Wen Family innate martial artists had been smashed to death. Meanwhile, the number of meteors hanging above these people kept increasing. The first wave consisted of one meteor, the second of five, and the third of more than twenty.
How powerful was the Great Sun Meteor Array? It could be said that if the formation were not forcibly disrupted midway, then these hundreds of Wen Family innate martial artists would likely not survive a single one. This micro array could at least continue attacking for the duration of a cup of tea or more.
