Huo Yingjie, knowing his wife was just joking, played along with her.

"Hehe!" He Tiantian laughed at herself, "Are you serious?"

"Of course, I am," Huo Yingjie said. "A legitimate request from my wife, I must firmly obey. Even her unreasonable demands, I try my best to fulfill them."

"Hearing you say that, it sounds like I’m a tigress. Look how scared you are! Aren’t you afraid people will say you’re henpecked?" He Tiantian laughed, glaring at Huo Yingjie.

But she knew they were driving, so she quickly turned her head back to look forward.

"Not afraid," Huo Yingjie said. "Men who listen to their wives are good men."

"So virtuous!" He Tiantian laughed, noting how well-behaved he was today.

When they passed the pastry shop, He Tiantian went in and bought some things. The kids at home wanted some; she wanted some too, and so did Grandma Wang, who enjoyed pastries.

The couple together took perfect care of the household!

Having a car made things much more convenient. When they passed the market, they bought lots of vegetables and threw them into the trunk.

When they got home, the kids had already been picked up by Zhang Ning and were playing in the yard!

Normally, when they got home, Grandma Wang would give the kids something to eat to tide them over until the adults came back for dinner.

During dinner, Grandma Wang asked with concern, "How was your first day of teaching? Did you adapt well?"

"I adapted well. There were textbooks to follow. If I just prepare well and take the lessons seriously, it’s fine," He Tiantian smiled. "There’s nothing difficult about it, except the classroom is very large, a tiered lecture hall. My voice doesn’t carry well, so I have to keep speaking loudly, and my throat isn’t used to it. Fortunately, I had prepared some Fat Sea herbal tea, so my throat didn’t go hoarse today. It would’ve been nice to have a simple amplifier."

"Leave that to me; I’ll handle it," Huo Yingjie thought for a moment and then said.

"I don’t want a microphone. I want the kind that you can clip near the neck on your clothes, which is more convenient," He Tiantian reminded him since using that type of microphone isn’t convenient when teaching.

"I understand," Huo Yingjie nodded. "I just need to find an amplifier and modify it slightly."

"Thank you," He Tiantian smiled, but she didn’t take it to heart. After all, her husband worked with materials and could make some simple machines, but an amplifier was a bit more complex, and she didn’t have high hopes.

"As long as you are accustomed to it, don’t worry about home. Zhang Ning will pick up the kids," Grandma Wang said. "As for the household chores, you’ve hired help. I will just take care of the children, nothing else big at home."

"Grandma, just watching the kids is fine. The nanny can cook, or I will when I get back," He Tiantian laughed. "Please don’t overwork yourself."

"No bother, it’s not much," Grandma Wang laughed. "I can still handle these things."

After dinner, He Tiantian and Huo Yingjie did the household chores together.

The two guards tried to help but were stopped by Huo Yingjie.

Time spent with his wife was already short; if he didn’t even spend the time doing household chores with her, it would be even less.

Zhang Ning and Xie Wu exchanged glances.

The formidable leader at work was a domestic husband at home, spoiling his wife even more than he indulged his children.

Well, that couple not only did household chores together but also whispered sweet nothings.

It was cloyingly sweet, really unbearable.

It was better to keep a distance.

However, inside, they were very envious of the relationship between their leader and his wife. Now, that’s what called a loving couple!

The next day when she went to teach, since her teaching schedule was quite early, it wasn’t convenient to drop off the kids. Hence, Zhang Ning first took Huo Yingjie to work and then came back to take the two kids.

The busiest at home now was Zhang Ning.

However, effort had its rewards, and the two children were very affectionate with Zhang Ning.

With such thoughts, Zhang Ning and Xie Wu worked even more seriously.

Compared to other comrades, Huo Yingjie was better, never shortchanging them on food and already having purchased several sets of casual clothes for them.

He Tiantian brought some pastries to school; she would get a bit hungry before lunch, so she ate some herself and also offered some to others.

Today, He Tiantian had changed into a new outfit—a bubble-sleeve blouse, made by Jiang Wenwen, with three-quarter sleeves, small round-toe leather shoes, a small crossbody bag on her, and she carried a large bag containing pastries, toilet paper, a thermos cup, and so on.

He Tiantian parked the car well and carried the items inside.

Upon arriving at the office, Teacher Zhou had already arrived and was brewing tea!

"Teacher Zhou, good morning." He Tiantian greeted, set down her things, and opened the window to make the office brighter.

A gentle breeze blew in, bringing with it the fresh scent of morning trees.

"Little He, good morning," Teacher Zhou smiled warmly, showing fondness for He Tiantian.

"Teacher Zhou, where is the hot water room? There’s still fifteen minutes until class; should I go get some hot water?" He Tiantian asked, knowing that she couldn’t last the day without hot water.

"It’s by the cafeteria in building six," Teacher Zhou said, "It’s not crowded now, a ten-minute round trip should be enough."

"Okay, I’ll go fetch the water." He Tiantian put her things in the cupboard and picked up two large hot water bottles to fill.

True enough, it wasn’t crowded, and He Tiantian quickly fetched the water and hurried back.

It was on her way back that she encountered a girl who stared at her strangely.

However, He Tiantian didn’t recognize her, so she continued back to the office with her water bottles.

By the time He Tiantian returned, Teacher Liu, Teacher Xiao Chen, and Teacher Da Chen had also arrived.

Seeing He Tiantian fetching hot water made them like her even more. She was wealthy and influential, yet Teacher He wasn’t arrogant but easy to get along with!

If someone else were in her shoes, who knows how arrogant they might be!

"Thank you, Teacher He. I’ll fetch the hot water tomorrow," Teacher Xiao Chen smiled. She had joined just a year before He Tiantian and used to be the one who fetched the hot water.

When Teacher Zhou came early, she would also go fetch some.

Now with He Tiantian around, there was someone to share the responsibility.

"It’s okay, I came early so I went to fetch some," He Tiantian smiled, "Enough talking, I have two morning classes. I need to go teach now."

"We also need to prepare for our classes," Teacher Liu smiled, and they would come back and chat after finishing their classes.

He Tiantian, carrying her teaching plan and the attendance folder, headed to the classroom.

He Tiantian realized that all her classes were held in large auditoriums, and today her throat would be strained again.
