Chapter 777: Chapter 746: Proud of You_1

The house was purchased, and He Tiantian felt that there was no need to move to Yanjing for the time being, so she didn’t decorate it or open a store, just waiting to do the renovations next year.

After a week, He Tiantian had accomplished the purpose of her trip.

Bai Qiongyu and Qi Shuliang, accompanied by their family, arrived in Yanjing two days earlier.

However, He Jingyu, upon hearing that He Tiantian bought a house, secretly visited it with his wife and liked it very much. Still, he didn’t feel a sense of belonging to Yanjing and was reluctant to buy there.

"Tiantian, you’ve bought so many houses, do you have enough money?" Wang Shuping asked, "If not, I can give you some."

He Tiantian shook her head, hiding the fact that she was applying for a loan, as she no longer wanted to rely on her parents for help.

"Don’t worry, Mom, I have enough money," He Tiantian said. "I’ve made quite a bit from the stores, and instead of giving me money, you can send me the things I need."

Wang Shuping looked at her daughter, sometimes touching her hair, sometimes her face, and said with relief, "My daughter has finally grown up and knows how to plan her life and career."

"You don’t have to worry about me while you’re abroad. I’ll take care of myself," said He Tiantian, looking toward her brother He Doudou, who was playing with Huo Ruimin and Huo Ruihua not far away, "Brother has grown up so much in the blink of an eye."

"Hehe, so have Ruimin and Ruihua. They weren’t even two months old when we left, and now they’re already four," said Wang Shuping. "Thank goodness you send us photos often, otherwise, I couldn’t have handled the separation over these years."

He Tiantian saw her mother as tender and virtuous as before, though there were some wrinkles at the corners of her eyes, she was still so beautiful.

"Yeah, every time I get letters or parcels from you, it’s the happiest moment for me," He Tiantian smiled and said. "Mom, you have great taste. The clothes you picked out for me are very suitable, and I really like them."

"As long as you like them, that’s good," Wang Shuping said. "I was worried you wouldn’t like them. When I go back, I’ll buy you more."

Hearing her mother talk about going back, He Tiantian looked a bit disappointed and asked softly, "Then, Mom, how long can you stay in China this time?"

"A whole month!" Wang Shuping said happily, "Don’t be unhappy. You’re married now and have your own life. If you’re happy, we don’t have to worry."

Although Wang Shuping was reluctant to leave, she didn’t show her feelings of loss, but remained optimistic and cheerful.

Such a mood was also conveyed to He Tiantian, brightening her spirits.

"Okay!" He Tiantian hugged her mother and acted coquettishly on her shoulder, "I was planning to visit you this summer, but since you’ve come, next year I’ll bring the kids to see you."

Wang Shuping smiled and said, "It’s convenient now, your grandma bought a private jet. If you want to visit, just have the plane pick you up."

A private jet, such a luxury!

"That’s just wonderful," He Tiantian exclaimed excitedly, having never flown on a private jet before!

While the mother and daughter were chatting, Huo Yingjie felt a bit helpless outside.

Given his job nature, He Tiantian’s departure would be subject to more intense scrutiny, and it was not certain she would be approved!

Now, as He Tiantian was so happy, Huo Yingjie didn’t dare to dampen her spirits and could only think of a solution when the time came.

Bai Qiongyu and Qi Shuliang spent four full days discussing with the relevant departments in Yanjing before they finally concluded the arrangements for their massive investment project.

In Yanjing, with nothing else to contend with, they were ready to return to Nan City. There were still some specific issues that needed to be settled with the local units before construction could begin. Concurrently, a talent development plan was underway.

"Grandma, I’ve missed you," He Tiantian said as she saw her grandmother come in, and she quickly went up to her and gave her a warm hug.

Bai Qiongyu also embraced He Tiantian with both arms and patted her back, saying, "Very good, you haven’t let us down. Your happiness is our greatest wish."

"I will work hard not to disappoint you and my parents," He Tiantian said. "Seeing you in good health allows me to be at ease."

"My health is excellent, don’t worry," Bai Qiongyu said. "Living another ten or eight years will be no problem."

"Grandma, you will surely live to a ripe old age," He Tiantian said, thinking of the health supplements Brother Yingjie had made at home, which she could give to her grandmother.

After Third Grandma Qi and Grandpa Qi had taken two of the pills, they felt much lighter and more spirited.

He Tiantian wanted to send these to her grandma by mail, but considering the pills would go through numerous inspections before reaching her, she didn’t know how many times they would be checked. Even if grandma didn’t come, she would use the summer vacation to go and deliver the medicines herself.

"Good, may you live to a ripe old age," Bai Qiongyu said with a slight smile, which meant that she could enjoy the blessings of her children and grandchildren for several more years.

These past few years, Bai Qiongyu had experienced an unprecedented level of happiness.

If only it were possible to truly live to a hundred years old.

Qi Shuliang and Annie also came over and joined in the conversation with everyone.

Since they had come to Yanjing, they decided to stay one more day to visit the Huo Family, as a way of supporting He Tiantian.

Bai Qiongyu went to her room and personally used her graceful and fine handwriting to write an invitation, then handed it to He Tiantian, saying, "Tiantian, this is the invitation I’ve written. Take it to your grandma when you go back today, and we will visit them tomorrow."

He Tiantian accepted it and replied, "Okay, I’ll pass it on. Grandma, when are we returning to Nan City?"

"Have you finished your business?" Bai Qiongyu asked. "I heard you bought a house in Yanjing!"

He Tiantian nodded, saying, "Yes, the prices for houses seemed reasonable, and I had some spare cash, so I bought one. Perhaps if we come to work or visit Yanjing in the future, we can all stay at my place."

"Hmm, buying a house is good. While the elder of the Huo Family and his wife are still around, we’re still one family, but once they’re not, we’ll be two separate families. The Huo Family Old Mansion will certainly not fall into the hands of your father-in-law, so it’s perfectly normal for you to buy a house elsewhere," Bai Qiongyu saw clearly. "Do you have enough money?"

"Enough!" He Tiantian said proudly, "Your granddaughter is also in business. I may not be as successful as you, but I definitely have enough for buying a house."

"Impressive!" Bai Qiongyu pinched He Tiantian’s face. "My granddaughter has not lost herself in tough conditions, has found a good husband, got into university, had twins, become a university lecturer, and runs a prosperous shop. Grandma is proud of you!"

Earning money was one aspect, but what Bai Qiongyu saw in He Tiantian was one steady step after another.

The life she had carved out for herself was extraordinarily meaningful and also more stable.

Originally, Bai Qiongyu had been puzzled and even a little angry about He Tiantian staying in a little mountain village, thinking her granddaughter was wasting her prime years. She had wanted to bring her granddaughter abroad at one point.

Yet, every time, her granddaughter had refused.

While Bai Qiongyu admired He Tiantian’s courage, she also wanted to see what kind of life her granddaughter could ultimately carve out for herself!
