Chapter 707: Chapter 676 Like_1
If it hadn’t been so tough, He Tiantian wouldn’t have lost so much weight.
"You’ve lost weight," Huo Yingjie said, not with excitement but with a touch of accusation.
Take calculating for instance, it should suffice to do it once, yet He Tiantian loved to hear the rattle of the abacus beads and see the ever-increasing numbers in the ledger.
He Tiantian turned her head away from the full-length mirror, gave a radiant smile, and provocatively said with her chest puffed out, "I’ve slimmed down where I should and filled out where I need to. Don’t you like it?"
Huo Yingjie gazed at He Tiantian with infatuation, stepped forward to hug her, and said, "Like it, like it insanely much."
"Hey, hey, you were supposed to help me with the zipper, why are you hugging me?" He Tiantian struggled; she really liked the dress she was wearing and didn’t want Huo Yingjie to tear it.
Be gentle?
Humph, how could that be possible!
Today, it was going to be torn to shreds, so she couldn’t wear it tomorrow!
The following day when she woke up, He Tiantian saw the torn cloth on the ground.
He Tiantian gave Huo Yingjie several twists on his body to vent her dissatisfaction.
If you don’t want me to wear it, I’ll wear it all the more.
Wrapped in a light blanket, He Tiantian went to the wardrobe to look for a revealing outfit.
The path of the righteous is a foot high, the devil is a yard taller.
Huo Yingjie had already cleared all the revealing clothes out of the wardrobe, leaving only respectable and elegant short-sleeved dresses. If it weren’t for the excessively hot weather, he wouldn’t even have left those dresses behind.
In the end, as time was running out, He Tiantian hastily picked a light blue dress to put on.
Huo Yingjie was constantly pierced by He Tiantian’s rolling eyes, but he didn’t mind; he took his time watching her get dressed leisurely.
He Tiantian hid in a makeshift changing area she had created using a mosquito net. It was dim and indistinct, but didn’t that make her even more enticing?
"Aren’t you getting up?" He Tiantian, dressed, said to Huo Yingjie who was still lingering in bed.
"Heh heh, getting up right now." Huo Yingjie had been stirred up by the sight of the beauty changing and took a few minutes to calm down before getting up to dress.
Summer vacation had already started.
He Tiantian planned to first check on the shop, and if everything was fine in a few days, she wanted to go to Qijia Village to visit Third Grandma Qi.
In the shop, Qian Shikun, Sun Sihao and his wife, along with two helpers, were busy in an orderly fashion, without needing much of Tiantian’s attention.
Even the cleanliness which He Tiantian valued most was done very well.
Since He Tiantian couldn’t be of much help, she went to look at the western pastry equipment installed in another room and then wrote a job recruitment notice.
When Sun Sihao saw He Tiantian writing another job advertisement, he became curious and asked, "Tiantian, are you planning to hire people?"
"Yes! Do you have anyone suitable to recommend?" He Tiantian asked. "Those machines have been around for quite a while; we can’t just let them sit there. It’s the perfect timing with me on summer break. I want to hire a few people and teach them how to make western pastries, so we can get the shop up and running quickly."
"Heh heh, my wife’s niece wanted to come work at the braised meat shop before, but seeing we weren’t short-staffed, I didn’t invite her over," Sun Sihao replied. "If you’re short on hands now, could you let her try? She’s a diligent girl, didn’t get into college, and her family doesn’t have a factory slot to take over, so she’s just idling at home making paper boxes. I feel it’s quite a pity."
"Sure, have her come over tomorrow. Let me meet her and have a chat. If she’s suitable, I’ll keep her," said He Tiantian. "But let me be upfront, if she doesn’t work out, even if she’s your relative, I won’t keep her."
"Of course," affirmed Sun Sihao. "By the way, I’ve translated some of those English pastry recipes into Chinese when I was free. I’ll give them to you to check if there’s anything wrong with the translation."
He Tiantian was surprised and asked, "Uncle Sun, you know English?"
"Heh heh, before liberation, my family was in the foreign trade business, ranking among the top three in Nan City. I even studied in England!" Sun Sihao said proudly, implying that if he hadn’t been advanced in years and lacking sufficient capital, he would have started his own business long ago.
"Uncle Sun is amazing," realized He Tiantian. "Heh heh, I was worrying about that before. My spoken English is fine, but my written is not so great. Translating those things was a bit of a guesswork."
"Heh heh, it isn’t that remarkable," said Sun Sihao modestly. "I’ve noticed our shop’s sales are nearing saturation. When the weather cools down, we can develop a few more products, like cured sausages, blood sausages, and the like."
He Tiantian’s eyes lit up, and she nodded, "During festivals, everyone is willing to buy something delicious. Some also need gifts. When the Mid-Autumn Festival comes in August, we can make a big push."
"That’s the spirit!" Sun Sihao was excited. After three months of running the shop, he and his wife had earned three thousand yuan, something they hadn’t dared dream of before.
Just as He Tiantian was about to put up the recruitment notice, Wu Youliang and Huang Jingli arrived.
They came with their luggage, ready to return to their hometown.
