Chapter 638: Chapter 607 Baby Stroller, Autumn Outing_1

Between school and home, constantly bustling back and forth, extremely busy yet extremely fulfilling.

He Tiantian not only learned knowledge, but also felt the warmth of family and the joy among relatives. Her two children were like pistachios, always cheerfully lightening her mood every day.

Wang Shuping would mail He Tiantian things every month, including a two-seater baby stroller.

On a crisp autumn day, after receiving it, He Tiantian let Huo Yingjie assemble it according to the manual, planning to take the children out for a stroll on the weekend.

Huo Zhekun and Jiang Lifang also had a rare weekend off together. Along with Grandma Wang and the two children, they all went to the lake for an outing.

Huo Yingjie and Huo Zhekun brought fishing rods, planning to go fishing.

Jiang Lifang supported Grandma Wang while He Tiantian pushed the two children in the stroller, all heading to Xuanwu Lake, two kilometers away, to enjoy themselves.

The weather was clear and sunny, the perfect time of year for autumnal splendor.

In the countryside, it would be the prime time for autumn harvest. But in the city with no harvest, everyone could only experience autumn’s arrival and the changes of the seasons through the surrounding scenery.

To protect the children’s eyes from the sun, He Tiantian specifically brought brimmed hats for them, which perfectly shielded their eyes. Her daughter, Huo Ruimin, wore a little red cap, and her son a blue one.

Not only were Huo Ruimin’s big eyes scrutinizing the novel world around her, but even the usually lethargic Huo Ruihua showed curiosity, his hands playfully resting on the small tray at the front of the stroller.

If he wasn’t securely strapped into the stroller, Huo Ruihua would likely crawl right out of it.

The stylish and novel stroller, along with the fetching parents He Tiantian and Huo Yingjie, attracted even more attention.

Passersby glanced at their group from time to time as they walked past.

Once at the lakeside, Huo Zhekun and Huo Yingjie found a good fishing spot, set up their bait, and began to fish.

He Tiantian, wearing a large, pale yellow sun hat, pushed the stroller around, basking in the sun, while the two babies cooed and babbled in the stroller as if they were having their own little discussion.

However, they were probably teething, drooling non-stop.

He Tiantian occasionally wiped their drool with a cloth and had cute dribble bibs tied around their necks!

"Ah, ah..." Huo Ruimin smiled as she saw the waterfowl on the lake, calling out a couple of times and reaching up towards the sky with her hands.

Her enthusiasm was as if she wanted to catch them and bring them home to make soup.

Little Rotating Turtle had the day off too and headed straight for the water upon reaching the lake, swimming gleefully beneath the surface.

It wasn’t swimming aimlessly; knowing its owner was out enjoying the day, it wanted to do something to please them. So, it herded some fish towards the edge of the lake.

Suddenly, not long after Huo Yingjie and Huo Zhekun had cast their lines, they got a bite, and a string of white bubbles furiously sank, indicating the fish’s attempt to escape by diving deeper after taking the bait.

Huo Zhekun and Huo Yingjie didn’t have time to talk; they pulled hard on their fishing rods and lifted two fish, each weighing over two pounds, out of the water.

"What a big fish," Jiang Lifang exclaimed. "Aunt Wang, stay seated, I’ll go get them a basket."

"Sure, once we have caught the fish, we’ll go back and cook fish for lunch," Grandma Wang said cheerfully. In Nan City, although some things were not to her usual liking, the couples Huo Zhekun and Jiang Lifang, He Tiantian and Huo Yingjie, treated her with great respect, and the two children were adorable as well, making her feel that staying in Nan City wasn’t too bad.

Especially the climate here was much better than the dry weather of Capital City.

It’s just like the beautiful autumn day today, something that can’t be enjoyed in Capital City.

"Exactly, Tiantian’s cooking skills are excellent, and she can create various dishes from one fish," Jiang Lifang praised Tiantian without reservation. She knew her own cooking skills were lacking, which is why she particularly admired those who could cook well.

"Yeah, Yingjie is indeed a lucky young man," Grandma Wang said with a smile. She had lived with Huo Yingjie and He Tiantian for almost two months and could see things clearly.

The young couple had a great relationship, tender towards each other, always thinking of one another.

They never fought, never raised their voices, and their relationship was even better than Huo Yingjun and his wife in Capital City.

Jiang Lifang packed the fish in the basket and placed it by the water. This ensured that the fish in the basket stayed lively and active.

Huo Zhekun and Huo Yingjie had really good luck today; just two minutes after changing the bait, they caught another fish. Not just any small fish, but big ones, weighing two or three pounds each.

Huo Yingjie felt the presence of the Little Rotating Turtle and understood what was going on.

But Huo Zhekun and everyone else didn’t know and thought they were just incredibly lucky today to catch such big fish.

He Tiantian also found this interesting and pushed the cart over to watch the two men fish.

At this time, three people walked over from not far away.

Cui Ying waved to He Tiantian from a distance, calling out, "Tiantian, what a coincidence, you’re here too!"

"Yes, indeed a coincidence," He Tiantian said. "Are you also here to fish?"

"Yes, Huashan, Professor Cui heard about the beautiful scenery here and came to have some fun," Cui Ying explained, though in reality they knew He Tiantian and her family were out enjoying themselves and came over on purpose.

They just had to pretend it was an accidental encounter on the surface.

He Tiantian was unaware, but Huo Yingjie knew exactly what was going on. Fortunately, these people didn’t have any ill intentions at the moment, so he didn’t feel the need to confront them.

Sometimes, violence can’t be met with violence.

Dealing with the little ones could bring more trouble.

He wanted to live a peaceful life, which meant he couldn’t just do as he pleased!

"Now that it’s autumn, the weather is cool and comfortable, it’s the best time to go out," He Tiantian said. "I have some snacks over there, come over and have some."

Cui Ying’s eyes lit up. She loved He Tiantian’s snacks and nodded repeatedly, "Sure!"

He Tiantian took out the snacks, placed them on the bench, and chatted with Cui Ying while they both enjoyed the treats.

Seeing mom eat, Huo Ruimin, the little one, was so eager that he drooled, waiting with big eyes looking at his mom: "Ah, ah..."

"Haha, we were so busy eating, we forgot about Ruimin," Cui Ying laughed. "Here, have some too."

Cui Ying broke off some snack crumbs and put them into Huo Ruimin’s little mouth.

The fragrant and sweet crumbs immediately won the little one’s approval; Huo Ruimin squinted his eyes contentedly, chewing and after swallowing, he "ah ah" called again, reminding the adults to keep feeding him.

Huo Ruihua, although very reserved, had no scruples when it came to eating.

However, he didn’t make a sound, just stared at the snacks in He Tiantian’s hands with a very earnest look. He Tiantian felt that not giving her son some snacks was akin to neglecting him.

He Tiantian fed her son a little, and the blissful Huo Ruihua also squinted his eyes happily.

The two little cuties were especially amusing; Cui Ying wished she could have a pair of children like them.

One bite here, one bite there, and in no time, the two little ones had eaten almost half a piece of the treat.
