As if possessed, Wang Bing followed He Tiantian and saw Huo Yingjie waiting on the side.

Jiang Lifang was a sensible person, and He Tiantian felt that if she was good to her, she would be even better to He Tiantian.

"I must be lucky," Jiang Lifang chuckled. "I found myself a wonderful daughter-in-law. The meals Tiantian makes are much tastier than the big chef at our hospital’s cafeteria. I ate too well in Qijia Village; now I have trouble swallowing those things!"

"You’re just not hungry," Huo Zhekun said. He, too, wanted to complain about the work meals, but as a public servant, he thought better of it.

He Tiantian served Jiang Lifang a piece of rabbit meat and said, "Mom, since Brother Yingjie and I don’t have anything to do these days, how about I bring you lunch tomorrow?"

"It’s no trouble at all, we have nothing else to do," He Tiantian said. "Right, Brother Yingjie?"

He Tiantian still felt a bit guilty about oversleeping this morning.

"The missus has spoken," what else could he say?

"No trouble at all," Huo Yingjie smiled, "We’ll prepare it early and bring it over to you."

"Then... then I won’t be polite," Jiang Lifang said happily, ayy, finally no more canteen food for me.

Huo Zhekun eagerly awaited his son, his daughter-in-law’s filial piety was on display!

"You’re a public servant, it wouldn’t look good if your family brought you meals to the office," Jiang Lifang said, "Don’t worry about it, the son and daughter-in-law are both very filial, look how well we’re eating tonight!"

Huo Zhekun was just venting and wasn’t truly angry, he relented, "Alright! I’ll forgive them. I told a few acquaintances today, about five or six people, we’ll have dinner at home the day after tomorrow. Prepare with Tiantian, and explain it to her privately, so she doesn’t overthink it."

"I’ve got it," Jiang Lifang said, she could only point out a few things to Tiantian, most of the work would still fall on the son and daughter-in-law.

When they woke up the next day, it was late again.

Although He Tiantian was annoyed, she was no longer as embarrassed as before!

Once you get used to something, it becomes second nature.

He Tiantian and Huo Yingjie skipped breakfast and went straight to making lunch, and after eating, they packed the food in a thermal container to bring to Jiang Lifang.

Huo Yingjie rode his bicycle, reaching Jiang Lifang’s hospital in less than twenty minutes.

Huo Yingjie and He Tiantian found Jiang Lifang’s office, where two patients were still waiting outside. They had no choice but to wait as well.
