Chapter 523: Chapter 494 Combing Hair, Headache, Intuition_1
"Brother Yingjie’s behavior was very normal just now!"
So she mustn’t lose heart or become disheartened. As long as she tries hard, she’ll surely succeed.
"Alright, I’ll take you there," He Tiantian got slippers for Huo Yingjie to wear.
Jiang Lifang brought He Tiantian clothes and meals prepared by the family’s housekeeper.
"This is Mom," He Tiantian said. "Is it okay if Mom feeds you?"
"No!" Huo Yingjie answered, gazing steadily at He Tiantian.
Jiang Lifang felt sad inside but didn’t show it, saying, "Tiantian, you have your meal with Yingjie. I’ll go heat up some water for you."
"Then I’ll trouble Aunt Jiang," He Tiantian said as she began to feed Huo Yingjie.
By the time Huo Yingjie and He Tiantian had almost finished eating, Jiang Lifang had already heated several bottles of water.
He Tiantian went to the bathroom to wash up.
Huo Yingjie stood by the door, and would have probably barged in if he hadn’t been held back by Jiang Lifang.
He Tiantian took a quick bath, changed her clothes, and washed her hair before coming out of the bathroom.
He Tiantian had long hair, which couldn’t be dried with a towel, so she took a comb and said, "Aunt Jiang, I’m taking Brother Yingjie out for a walk to soak up some sun!"
Jiang Lifang nodded, "Mhm, okay, go ahead, I’ll clean up the bathroom."
"Aunt Jiang, you should rest. I’ve already cleaned up inside," He Tiantian said. It was her who showered and shampooed, so it wouldn’t be right to let someone else clean up.
Zhao Huanhuan came over to check and found that Huo Yingjie was alright. It was also good for him to take a walk outside.
He Tiantian held Huo Yingjie’s hand and went to the yard, sitting down on a sunlit bench.
He Tiantian combed her hair to make it neat so that it would dry faster.
At that moment, the comb in He Tiantian’s hand was snatched away by Huo Yingjie.
"Tiantian, let me comb your hair!" Huo Yingjie said softly, then held a strand of He Tiantian’s disheveled hair with his left hand and began to comb with the right.
Huo Yingjie combed skillfully, not causing He Tiantian any pain.
Perhaps the sun was particularly pleasant today, or maybe it was because He Tiantian had cried a lot and felt more relaxed.
He Tiantian actually fell asleep, snoring softly.
At that moment, Huo Yingjie showed not a hint of his usual silliness or spoilt demeanor.
He Tiantian slept soundly as the sun was warm around two o’clock in the afternoon, thus not catching a cold.
When He Tiantian woke up, her hair was completely dry.
He Tiantian opened her eyes in a daze and saw those familiar eyes.
He Tiantian sat up and asked, "Brother Yingjie, do you remember anything from before?"
The question caught Yingjie off guard, and his gaze became confused again!
This version of Huo Yingjie made He Tiantian both irritated and amused.
Huo Yingjie shook his head in confusion, then suddenly clutched his head as if someone were drumming inside, causing unbearable pain.
"Brother Yingjie, what’s wrong?" He Tiantian asked. "I’ll take you to the doctor."
"Headache!" Huo Yingjie replied, his face pale as he wrapped his arms around He Tiantian. "Don’t go!"
He Tiantian held Huo Yingjie’s head in both hands, unsure why he was having such a headache!
Fortunately, the pain only lasted a few minutes before Yingjie’s discomfort eased and he opened his eyes.
Seeing that Huo Yingjie’s body was no longer stiff, she gently asked, "How do you feel? Shall we go back to see the doctor?"
"Mhm!" Huo Yingjie nodded, returning to his childlike self.
He Tiantian led Huo Yingjie back and pressed the bell. Zhao Huanhuan quickly arrived.
"Sister-in-law, I was outside with Brother Yingjie just now, and he suddenly developed a headache that lasted for a few minutes," He Tiantian said. "Could you please check and see what’s wrong with him?"
Zhao Huanhuan approached Huo Yingjie and reached out to press on a point on his head.
But Huo Yingjie, with his childlike mind, recoiled at the sight of the white coat.
"Brother Yingjie, let sister-in-law examine you. Listen, your headache will stop then," He Tiantian whispered to reassure Yingjie, preventing him from dodging away.
After listening, Huo Yingjie nodded and said, "Alright then!"
Zhao Huanhuan switched between several pressure points, but Yingjie said none hurt.
Whenever it came to Huo Yingjie, Zhao Huanhuan’s medical expertise turned useless and he could do nothing but helplessly say, "Wait here, I’ll ask my teacher to take a look. I can’t tell what’s wrong with Yingjie."
Doctor Zhang came over, took Yingjie’s pulse, and conducted a series of checks but found no issues.
He only prescribed some painkillers, to take if the headache came back.
He Tiantian had a vague understanding that Huo Yingjie’s headaches had supernatural causes.
However, her efforts were effective. Doing familiar activities had triggered Yingjie’s memories of the past, albeit brief. She was certain she hadn’t misjudged and trusted her feelings.
By evening, Huo Yingjie wouldn’t let He Tiantian leave. Wherever Tiantian went, he followed.
He Tiantian had no choice but to stay, and she convinced everyone else to go home.
Because tonight, she intended to confront the so-called Changling Supreme God and demand he stop bullying Brother Yingjie and leave once and for all.
He Tiantian was ready, keeping her eyes wide open, waiting...
However, as spirited as she was, her eyelids grew heavier and she unknowingly closed her eyes, leaning against the edge of the hospital bed and falling asleep.
At that moment, the Huo Yingjie lying in bed suddenly opened his eyes, or rather, it was the Changling Supreme God who did.
