Chapter 85: Chapter 85 Let Go If You Speak _1
When Dr. Mao and the others heard what Zhang Xian had said, they quickly began to sneer after frowning briefly.
If previously Qian Duoduo had said that Zhang Xian was brought in by Secretary Sun, they might have believed it. However, when Zhang Xian dared to speak to Secretary Sun in that tone, they definitely did not believe it.
They understood that the man was an honorable senior cadre, the head of a province. Zhang Xian was merely a kid, daring to speak to Sun the Secretary like that? This guy was definitely showing off.
"Duoduo, what is going on? Is it true that Secretary Sun brought this young man here?" Qian Yongyuan was also somewhat in disbelief.
"Of course, would I lie to you?" Qian Duoduo nodded.
"You’re in trouble then. Just you wait. If Secretary Sun doesn’t fire you when he arrives, I’ll have it out with him." Zhang Xian pointed at the deputy director, looking rather arrogant.
The deputy director’s mouth twitched unnaturally a few times, showing a face of disbelief. Seeing Zhang Xian so confident and Qian Duoduo looking as though it could really happen, he felt some unease in his heart.
Could this guy really be that extraordinary? However, that’s impossible! He is the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee. Could he really have no temper?
"Hmph, your acting is so good, you shouldn’t be a doctor. Perhaps you would be better suited as an actor." Dr. Mao didn’t believe it, and his gaze towards Zhang Xian still carried disdain.
"Exactly, this guy must be acting," Xu Song also stood up, his face full of mockery.
He was present the last time when Zhang Xian saved Sun Haoran, but he had no idea that the old man was the provincial party secretary. He hadn’t even known who Secretary Qian was, having just returned to the country not long ago.
At this moment, seeing Zhang Xian with his phone looking so arrogant, shouting at the provincial party secretary, how could he possibly believe it? Did this guy really think he was God?
"Hehe, you just go ahead and show off. I’ll fire you too in a moment," Zhang Xian turned to look at Xu Song, grinning horribly.
"Keep dreaming," Xu Song’s mouth twitched unnaturally again, and he pointed, speaking with a certain authority, "Security, drag this imposter out."
The security guards looked at each other but didn’t hesitate too much. They were just following orders, and even if something were to happen, it was unlikely that the blame would fall on them.
"Who dares to move? Who dares?" An old man suddenly burst in from outside.
The two security guards immediately halted in their tracks, looking quite frightened.
The old man who had just charged in was so overly excited, shouting hysterically, like a cow in heat.
"De...Dean?" Xu Song, recognizing the newcomer, eagerly called out.
"Which one of you is Zhang Xian?" the Dean asked.
"I am." Zhang Xian stepped forward and asked, "Where is Old Man Sun? It seems that forty seconds have already passed, with over ten seconds left."
"Ahem..." The Dean cleared his throat, "We just ran up here. Secretary Sun is running a bit slower than me, could you wait a bit longer?"
"I’m being kicked out already, and you still want me to wait till when? Until the moment I’m driven out the gate?"
"I’ll give you an explanation for this matter." The Dean smirked, then his face turned cold as he asked, "Who just said they wanted to drive Young Lad Zhang out? Is the hospital his own property?"
"Dean, this guy..." the deputy director started to speak.
"It was you who wanted to drive Young Lad Zhang out? Are you qualified?" the Dean interrupted the deputy director.
Just downstairs, Secretary Sun was livid, scolding him harshly. He was seething inside. Right now, he caught sight of the ringleader of the trouble – how could he have a pleasant demeanor?
On his way here, Secretary Sun and Qian Duoduo had begged Zhang Xian to come. If they offended Zhang Xian again, could they still rely on Secretary Qian’s help?
"No... no, Dean, I..." the deputy director was quite frightened.
Xu Song’s face was pale and he was shaking uncontrollably. Looking at the current situation, it seemed as though Zhang Xian held some real power.
"Aren’t you going to get lost?" the Dean yelled.
"Wait a moment..." Zhang Xian raised his hand and said, "I want you to fire these two clowns, remove them from the hospital."
"This isn’t very good, is it?" The Dean looked somewhat embarrassed.
Although it wouldn’t be a big deal for him to dismiss a deputy director, the man was still a deputy director after all. It wouldn’t be reasonable to fire him over such a small matter, right?
The deputy director glared at Zhang Xian, his eyes blazing with anger. Did this damned guy really dare to say it? Did he have no face at all?
"You still dare to glare at me?" After glancing at the deputy director, Zhang Xian turned to the Dean, "You won’t agree? Ok then! If he doesn’t go, I go."
"Er, Young Lad Zhang, it’s just a small matter, there’s no need for this, right?" The Dean was at his wit’s end with Zhang Xian, he could only try to persuade him.
At this moment, Sun Haoran rushed in, asking, "What’s going on? Who just said they wanted to drive Young Lad Zhang out? Do you all think this old man is useless?"
The deputy dean and Xu Song felt a sudden jolt in their hearts, inwardly cursing their bad luck.
At this moment, Secretary Sun’s face was twisted in a furious, cold stare, his anger evidently at its peak.
"Old Man Sun, you seem to be late," Zhang Xian sneered at Secretary Sun, saying, "I just said you had to be here within a minute."
"Ahem... Young Lad Zhang, this old bones of mine have tried their best, you don’t have to bully me like this, right?" Sun Haoran was at his wit’s end with Zhang Xian, having already seen his ruthlessness.
Despite his youth, this fellow had a fiery temper, capable of escalating a minor issue into a major problem.
"What’s going on? What is happening?"
Doctor Mao and the others were dumbfounded. Did this young chap actually dare to talk to Secretary Sun like that?
Qian Yongyuan and Qiu Yu were also quite terrified. What kind of backing did this Zhang Xian, Qian Duoduo’s friend, have? Why was even Secretary Sun appearing so troubled?
What they didn’t realize was that Secretary Sun didn’t fear Zhang Xian. Rather, he felt Zhang Xian to be an exceptional junior. More importantly, Zhang Xian was Sun Haoran’s life-saver.
If Zhang Xian hadn’t showed up that day, considering his condition back then, he would’ve died for sure. But now, he could still stand here and exchange banter with Zhang Xian.
"Old Man Sun, it appears you’re the most influential here. Today, I want you to expel the two knaves who wanted to chase me out from City First Hospital. Do you agree?" Zhang Xian asked.
"Splendid, they must be expelled." Sun Haoran agreed without hesitation, "I refuse to believe that I, the Provincial Party Secretary, cannot expel one or two individuals from Tiandu City First Hospital."
"Secretary Sun..." the deputy dean and Xu Song nearly fell to their knees.
Seeing Sun Haoran’s fury, the dean dared not say a word. Although Secretary Sun was usually amiable, it didn’t mean he couldn’t lose his temper. When he did, not many could stand firm against him.
"Dean, I want you to handle this matter. They must be fired, never to be rehired," Sun Haoran said with an icy expression, "I had to personally reach out to the police department and convince with all my might to have Dr. Zhang come over here. Yet, while the dean and I were talking, you two dared to conspire to drive away the Divine Doctor I invited. Do you regard me, Sun Haoran, as a nobody?"
The deputy dean and Xu Song deeply regretted their actions. If they knew this would happen, they wouldn’t have dared to get involved.
Doctor Mao and the others kept silent, not daring to say a word. They could see that Secretary Sun was really angry this time, and whoever provoked him would be unlucky.
"Dean, are you deaf?" Sun Haoran yelled, "My old friend is still lying on the bed and you dare to kick out his savior? Who the hell gave you the guts?"
"I... I’m listening! As soon as the matter is settled here, I’ll fire them immediately," the dean nodded repeatedly, wiping cold sweat from his forehead.
Secretary Sun even started swearing, indicating the intensity of his anger. And it wasn’t hard to understand why. Secretary Qian was still lying in bed, and they were driving away his only savior, which was uncalled for.
"Old Sun, please calm down first," Qiu Yu stepped forward, trying to console Sun Haoran.
"Huff... I’m okay," Sun Haoran dismissed Qiu Yu, turned to look at Zhang Xian, and asked with a smile, "Young Lad Zhang, now you should be satisfied, right?"
"You were late," Zhang Xian retorted.
"Ahem..." Sun Haoran started coughing heavily, utterly exasperated.
Why was this clever kid still clinging to his late arrival? Could he stop being so tormenting? It was literally making him sick.
"Brother Zhang Xian, Grandpa Sun really can’t run fast, why do you have to trouble him?" Qian Duoduo pouted, "Please treat my grandpa quickly! I miss him."
"Young man, I apologize for earlier, could you please examine my father? Thank you!" Qian Yongyuan approached Zhang Xian, looking deeply sincere.
"Mr. Zhang, please!" Qiu Yu also approached Zhang Xian.
Zhang Xian saw Qian Duoduo’s parents stepping forward, glanced at Sun Haoran, and said, "All of you go out first. Without my permission, no one is allowed to enter. Make sure to guard the door properly. If someone breaks in during my treatment and something happens, I won’t be responsible. If you don’t trust my abilities, feel free to invite someone more skilled, I won’t mind."
"You call that being reasonable? Reasonable my ass!" Hearing Zhang Xian’s words, Sun Haoran criticized internally.
However, even though he was annoyed, he acted promptly, urging, "Let’s all go out! If anything happens, I’ll take the blame. Worst case scenario, I’ll stake my life."
"Oh, you really think highly of me," Zhang Xian chuckled.
"I trust you. I hope you won’t disappoint me," Sun Haoran stared at Zhang Xian earnestly.
"As long as you keep this door shut for me, there won’t be any issues. If it’s not, there will be issues even if there aren’t any," Zhang Xian nodded.
Sun Haoran laughed, being the first to exit the room.
Doctor Mao and the others didn’t believe that Zhang Xian could cure Secretary Qian. It was an impossible task. But since Sun Haoran already left, they couldn’t not leave. After all, he was a big shot.
"Old Man Qian, you’ve been asleep for two days and a night, it’s about time you woke up for some food. Your granddaughter is waiting for you,"
When everyone had left, Zhang Xian locked the door again, walked to the bedside, deeply inhaled, placed one hand on Secretary Qian’s chest, and began transferring his spiritual energy into him.
