Chapter 65: Chapter 65 Zhu Qing_1

The waiter, upon hearing Zhang Xian’s words, froze before slowly nodding his head and running downstairs.

Zhang Xian closed the door and came back to the room. He grabbed Ge DaBao by the collar, saying, "So you’re Ge DaBao, huh? I didn’t mind the incident when we were en route to Longhu. It was a minor issue. But I hope you didn’t play any tricks when it comes to the medicinal ingredients. If they fall into my hands, I have a hundred ways to make you pay a heavy price beyond your tolerance."

"What... what are you planning to do?" Ge DaBao asked in horror.

He didn’t expect this little guy in front of him to be so fierce. The men he sent out last time haven’t returned, and he couldn’t reach them through their cell phones. He really didn’t know before that Zhang Xian was a tough person.

"Return the medicinal ingredients to me, and I’ll let you go. Otherwise, let’s see who can be more ruthless," Zhang Xian coldly replied.

"Little Thief, I advise you not to touch me. Some people aren’t the kind you can mess with..." Ge DaBao’s face went pale. But before he could finish, he suddenly screamed, "Ah!"

"It seems you want to see who can be more ruthless." Zhang Xian twisted Ge DaBao’s arm until it broke, and said, "I’ll ask again, will you return the medicinal ingredients or not?"

"If you dare, kill me." Ge DaBao looked fierce.

He was not a ruthless person; in fact, he was quite timid and fearful. However, sometimes, he had to consider the consequences, and if things didn’t go well, Xie Wuming wouldn’t let him off the hook.

Compared to Zhang Xian, he was more scared of Xie Wuming, a cold-blooded, ruthless underworld boss who could kill without batting an eyelid.

"Crack..." Zhang Xian made his move again, breaking Ge DaBao’s right leg without even a frown.

Though he had never killed anyone, he was deeply aware of the cruelty in the Cultivation World due to his inherited memories. Without a doubt, not many dare to claim being more ruthless than him.

"Ah..." Ge DaBao trembled in pain.

Mu Cheng was terrified. This was the first time she had seen Zhang Xian like this. Was this still the easygoing, rarely temperamental Zhang Xian? Why does he look like a demon from hell?

"It’s the other hand’s turn." Seeing that Ge DaBao would not speak, Zhang Xian moved to do it again.

He could let other things slide, but he was intolerant of any mishap related to his cultivation. Ge DaBao stealing Mu Cheng’s medicinal ingredients was an obstruction to his cultivation.

"Ah...stop, I...I will arrange for them to be delivered immediately." Finally, Ge DaBao decided to give in.

He might not be able to explain the situation to Xie Wuming if he failed in his task, but it wasn’t necessarily the end for him. However, if he didn’t speak up now, he would certainly be crippled by Zhang Xian, and he didn’t want that.

"Call and arrange for a car to pick you up. You can leave only when the car arrives," Zhang Xian said, throwing Ge DaBao to the ground.

Ge DaBao didn’t dare to delay and quickly took out his mobile to arrange for a car to pick him up.

"Elder Sister Cheng, you should also call for someone to pick up the car," Zhang Xian said.

"Ah...okay..." Mu Cheng regained her senses and dialed a number on her phone.

Soon, a few waitstaff entered the room with large dishes. Shocked at the scene inside, they quietly set down the dishes and left.

Xiao Huo saw several plates of delicious meat appear and happily jumped onto the table, munching away with relish.

"Why did you order so much meat?" Mu Cheng asked in surprise.

"It’s for Xiao Huo." Zhang Xian smiled, "Despite his small size, Xiao Huo is a big eater. This meat might not be enough to satisfy him."

"Really?" Mu Cheng struggled to believe it.

Xiao Huo was only the size of a kitten, could he eat dozens of pounds of meat at once? And could such a small body handle that?

Soon, her disbelief turned into astonishment. After Xiao Huo ate a piece of lean meat bigger than himself, he quickly directed himself towards another piece, rapidly devouring it.

"See! This little guy can really eat," Zhang Xian said with a smirk.

"Hehe, he sure can eat a lot," said Mu Cheng, smiling, "So, can you afford to raise him? Do you want me to help you out?"

"He wouldn’t go with you," said Zhang Xian.

"How do you know?" Mu Cheng didn’t believe him. She moved closer to the table and asked, "Xiao Huo, do you want to go home with me?"

Xiao Huo was happily eating and didn’t have time to care for Mu Cheng.

"Uh..." Knowing that Xiao Huo could understand many human words now, Mu Cheng poked Xiao Huo’s butt and asked, "Hey, will you go with me or not? Give me a sign."

Xiao Huo jumped aside, shook his head without any hesitation, and then continued to feast.

He wasn’t dumb; in fact, he was quite clever. While others might not know about Zhang Xian’s true identity, he, having the inherited memories, knew well. It would be more promising to follow Zhang Xian.

Even though the meat on the table was delicious, it could only replenish his physical energy, not increase his strength. He was waiting, knowing that Zhang Xian would venture out in the future, encounter beasts, and even concoct elixirs.

Yes, those were his favorite things. For now, he could only compromise and eat some ordinary meat, which was of no use to him.

"Ding-dong-ding-dong..."

An abrupt ring of a cell phone.

From the floor, Ge DaBao, watching Zhang Xian and Mu Cheng chatting with great frustration, managed to answer his phone. After saying a few words, he said, "The car is here."

"Let’s go see," Zhang Xian said, picking up Ge DaBao with one hand and walking out.

"Xiao Huo, we’re leaving!" Mu Cheng, carrying Xiao Huo who was still enjoying his meal, followed them.

Xiao Huo still hadn’t had his fill and was feeling pretty pissed off, struggling constantly.

"If you guys want to go, go! I ain’t had my fill yet, so why are you carrying me off? I know my way home."

"Look at you, getting oil all over my clothes." Mu Cheng looked down at her oil-stained clothes, and gave an irritated knock on Xiao Huo’s head.

Xiao Huo felt wronged and struggled even more. If this girl weren’t Zhang Xian’s friend and he didn’t dare to offend Zhang Xian at the moment, he’d have gone into battle mode and taught her a lesson.

...

At the entrance of the hotel, three container trucks were parked in a row by the roadside.

Three middle-aged men in suits leaned on the hood of the car, smoking cigarettes, waiting for Ge DaBao to come out.

A moment later, they watched as their boss was carried out in someone’s arms. They immediately dropped their half-finished cigarettes, looking astonished.

The three drivers called by Mu Cheng also arrived.

Seeing Mu Cheng, they greeted her with smiles, calling out, "Boss."

Mu Cheng nodded, preparing to speak.

At this moment, the three men in Ge DaBao’s group rushed over, glaring at Zhang Xian and yelled, "Little Thief, you looking to die? Cut our boss loose now!"

Zhang Xian threw Ge DaBao aside and slapped the three middle-aged men a few times, leaving them dazed and disoriented.

"What the actual fuck!" The three middle-aged men were furious, but didn’t dare to approach again.

They couldn’t see how Zhang Xian made his move. All they felt was a dizzy spell, their cheeks stinging. Faced with such a formidable adversary, they wisely chose to hold their tongues.

"You three, go check if any of the medicinal herbs are missing in the trucks," said Mu Cheng to the three drivers.

The trio nodded, checked the truck, and reported back to Mu Cheng: "Boss, all the herbs are there, nothing’s missing."

"All right, drive the trucks back." Mu Cheng finally sighed in relief.

When the medicinal herbs were suddenly hijacked, she thought there would be a major issue. Luckily, it was just Ge DaBao causing trouble. Plus, she seemed to have gained a guardian angel. Zhang Xian was pretty impressive.

Thinking of this, she nudged Zhang Xian, saying, "Hey, don’t switch your phone off, got it? I might have to call you at any time."

"Uh, call me for what?" asked Zhang Xian.

"What’s it to you?" said Mu Cheng defiantly. "You promised me before, don’t think of going back on your word."

"Fine! I’m not the type to break a promise," Zhang Xian nodded. Then he asked, "By the way, Elder Sister Cheng, are my herbs all accounted for?"

"You got lucky, nothing’s missing." Mu Cheng smiled and said, "Let’s head back."

...

The night sky was filled with twinkling stars, blinking incessantly.

After watching TV for a bit, Zhang Xian went to the backyard, filled a large bucket he’d bought with hot water and carried it back to his room.

"Hey, Zhang Xian, what are you up to?" Zhu Qing happened to be passing by and asked with a puzzled look.

"Taking a bath! What else did you think?" Zhang Xian replied.

"Uh, why are you using a bucket? Can’t you bathe in the bathroom?" Zhu Qing didn’t believe it, "Are you hiding something from me? You’re not up to no good, are you?"

"You think everyone’s as sleazy as you? I happen to be pretty pure, okay?"

"When have I ever been sleazy?" Zhu Qing retorted angrily, "And you’re not pure at all, you’re not even close."

"When have you not been sleazy?" Zhang Xian curled his lips: "Just look at what happened just now. I was simply washing up with a bucket and your mind went there. I’m not wronging you at all."

"You..." Zhu Qing was so angry she started trembling.

After Zhang Xian entered his room, she started shifting her gaze sneaky-like, trailing behind him to see what he was up to.

Zhang Xian knew Zhu Qing was outside, but pretended not to know. He put the bucket down and started undressing.

When he was down to his underwear, he noticed Zhu Qing had no intentions of leaving and hesitated. What was she up to? She wasn’t planning to peep at him, was she?

"He’s really taking a bath!" Zhu Qing peeked through the gap in the curtains, watching silently.

Seeing Zhang Xian undressing until only his underwear was left, her eyes widened, and she was about to leave. But very quickly, she leaned in closer again, curiously pursing her lips.

She hadn’t seen a man naked before, and she was curious to see what Zhang Xian looked like. How intriguing!

"She’s not leaving?" Zhang Xian was waiting for Zhu Qing to leave.

Even though he liked their constant bickering, if he were to expose Zhu Qing’s peeping, it seemed a bit risky. Zhu Qing had a bad temper and cared a lot about face. She wasn’t someone to cross lightly.

He waited a bit longer, but Zhu Qing still hadn’t left. He was torn. What was this girl up to? Was she hell-bent on peeping at him?

With a creepy smile, he teleported next to the window, opened the curtain, and asked, "Qingqing, what are you doing? Do you want to join in? I don’t mind a little ’ducks playing in water’."
