The Supreme Wild Young Master -
Chapter 461: The Stealth of Skynet_1
Chapter 461: Chapter 461: The Stealth of Skynet_1
That night, in Yanjing, on a certain street, there was scarcely a passerby.
Underneath a dim street lamp, three middle-aged men stood side by side, constantly looking around as if waiting for something.
Among them, one was a Westerner with blond hair and blue eyes. Another was black, who would blend into the night if he were further away from the lamp. The last one was very short in stature.
"Squeak..."
Suddenly, a Ferrari drove up from one side and stopped under the lamp.
"Click!"
The car door was opened, and a handsome young man dressed in a white shirt, black casual pants, and black leather shoes emerged from the car, his face expressionless.
"Big Brother..."
Seeing this, the three middle-aged men hurried forward and greeted respectfully.
"Hmm..."
Zhang Xian nodded, lit a cigarette, and asked, "Where are they? Lead me to them directly."
The three middle-aged men nodded, leading the way without asking more.
After a short while, they arrived in front of a nondescript building. Quickly ascending the stairs, they finally stopped outside a room on the third floor.
"Any ambush?"
Zhang Xian scanned the building with his mind and found three auras that ordinary people wouldn’t possess, accompanied by an cold undertone, clearly belonging to experienced assassins skilled in the art of murder.
However, he wasn’t sure if these three men were connected to those inside, or if those inside had always had people protecting watch.
From the nervous and curious expressions on the faces of the three men, it seemed that they were not aware of this.
"Knock knock knock..."
The Westerner suddenly raised his hand and knocked on the door.
"Click!"
The door was opened quickly and a middle-aged man dressed in a suit stepped out, blocking the door and asking coldly, "Who are you guys?"
"Uh... Master Zhong sent us." The Westerner stepped forward and said with a smile.
After examining the group, the middle-aged man suddenly reached out.
"What are you doing?" The Westerner’s expression changed slightly as he hastily retreated.
The middle-aged man pulled the Westerner back and said, "I just want to pat you down. Why are you so nervous?"
The Westerner’s mouth twitched awkwardly a few times, but he didn’t resist any further. However, he was somewhat dissatisfied with the middle-aged man’s strange behavior. Couldn’t he at least have given a heads up about the pat down?
"You, come here. Why are you standing so far?" The middle-aged man pointed at Zhang Xian and ordered.
Zhang Xian chuckled and walked to the middle-aged man.
After the pat-down was over, the middle-aged man took another look at the four of them, and then said, "Okay, come in."
Zhang Xian and the other three followed him into the room and began to observe their surroundings.
The room was decorated simply, with nothing more than a sofa, a table, and a television. It was all there in plain sight.
On the sofa, a middle-aged man dressed in a suit was sitting with one leg crossed over the other, puffing on a large cigar. On either side of him stood two middle-aged men with stern expressions.
After sweeping his gaze over Zhang Xian and his three companions, he flicked the ash off his cigar and asked, "What business do you have with me?"
"They don’t have any business with you, but I do."
Zhang Xian looked at the middle-aged man and asked, "You should be a higher-up in the Skynet organization, right? Tell me who is behind the plan to assassinate the Mo family, then go home quietly. I might spare you."
"Huh..."
The middle-aged man hesitated for a moment, looked at the Westerner, and asked, "Aren’t you one of us from Skynet?"
The Westerner became somewhat nervous, but remained silent.
He had been compelled to come here out of desperation. He didn’t know what baffling methods Zhang Xian had that could render people in unbearable pain, and he didn’t want to experience it again.
Sometimes, death isn’t scary. What’s scary is the inability to die, having to endure unbearable suffering.
"I’m not one of you from Skynet, but one of the targets that your Skynet wants to assassinate."
Zhang Xian kicked his foot up on the table and said to the middle-aged man, "So, either tell me who the person behind it all is, or die in agony. Pick one."
"Hahaha..."
The middle-aged man suddenly burst into laughter, "Little guy, can I say you’re like a lamb entering a wolf’s den? What you should be thinking about is not how to find the person behind the scenes, but how to survive. Do you think you could harm a single hair on my body under the watch of these three men? Moreover, just so you know, I have more than these three men here. They could kill you at any minute."
"As long as you can do it, feel free to kill me."
Zhang Xian said, "And I still stick to my words, either die, or confess honestly."
"Seeking death..."
One of the middle-aged men suddenly made a move, his hand striking out like lightning, the palm seemed like a sharp dagger, and aimed straight at Zhang Xian’s throat. As soon as he shot out his hand, it became a deadly attack.
"So you want to kill me? Today, I’ll show you what a real powerhouse is."
Zhang Xian suddenly moved, appearing behind the middle-aged man as if he had teleported, and waved his hand. Immediately after, he appeared next to another middle-aged man, with a swift hand chop. It was neat and decisive.
"Puff... Puff..."
The sound of blades penetrating flesh echoed in the room.
"Thump... Thump..."
And then, two middle-aged men fell to the ground with incredulous expressions on their faces.
In an instant, two assassins had been killed without a chance to fight back.
"What’s happened?" The middle-aged man’s eyes bulged as if he had just discovered a new continent.
The other assassin was also shocked by the sudden turn of events. Just now, he hadn’t seen how Zhang Xian took action and didn’t have time to react.
In a span of just a moment, both of his companions had been killed one after the other without any warning. What kind of power did that take?
Bear in mind, they were all assassins, possessing extraordinary abilities.
"You might as well join them!"
With a wave of his hand, Zhang Xian released a spiritual energy slash, silently decapitating the other assassin who was still stunned.
None of these so-called assassins had reached the Innate level, they were all at the Acquired level. He had no idea if Skynet had any real Innate masters, or even more powerful beings. His master was an incredibly powerful warrior. But, undoubtedly, these assassins were not strong enough to strut around in Huaxia. If they were too arrogant, they’d be courting death.
"Er..."
The middle-aged man was terrified once again. Killing someone with a wave of a hand - was this fellow serious? How was his poor heart supposed to endure this?
The three stumpy individuals were also frightened. They didn’t expect Zhang Xian to be this formidable, it was beyond natural!
"There are still three outside, right?"
Zhang Xian sneered, "Get them in here. I’ll deal with them all. It’ll save me some trouble."
"Gulp..."
The middle-aged man swallowed hard, and asked, "Who... who are you? How... how can you have such a bizarre ability?"
"I’m Zhang Xian, the one you’re trying to kill."
Zhang Xian looked at the middle-aged man, "If you cooperate, you might be spared some pain. But if you resist, I’ll show you what it means to be better off dead, what it means to wish for death in agony."
"What... what are you planning?" The middle-aged man stood up, fearfully backing away.
He wasn’t an assassin, but one of the higher-ups in Skynet. He wouldn’t do something asinine like poisoning himself. To him, everyone else’s lives were cheap, but his own was precious.
"Speak..."
Zhang Xian coldly glared at the middle-aged man, "Who ordered your organization to kill me and who ordered your organization to kill the Mo family?"
"It’s..."
The middle-aged man’s lips moved, but he suddenly turned and darted towards the window.
Zhang Xian’s strength had instilled fear in him. If he didn’t escape, there was no chance of survival. The three men outside were not as formidable as the ones inside, calling them in would only be sending them to their deaths.
"Think you can get away?"
Zhang Xian waved his hand, severing one of the middle-aged man’s legs.
"Ah..." A scream rang out.
The middle-aged man barely managed to get a few steps away when he collapsed to the ground, howling in pain.
"This is what happens when you don’t cooperate."
Reaching the middle-aged man, Zhang Xian smirked coldly, "But, this is just the beginning. There’s still a lot of pain waiting for you to endure."
"No... don’t, I’ll talk, I’ll tell you everything." The middle-aged man was terrified.
Zhang Xian said, "Good. First, answer the question I asked earlier."
"The... The Cao Family wants you dead."
The middle-aged man replied, "The ones who want the Mo family dead - that’s the Cao Family too."
"The Cao Family?"
Upon hearing these words, Zhang Xian’s face darkened.
He had previously suspected the Cao Family might be responsible for Cao Ge’s death, but couldn’t be sure. After all, he didn’t anticipate the Cao Family would hire an assassin organization. His enemies were not limited to the Cao Family alone.
Responding with a cold chuckle, he asked again, "Where’s the headquarters of your Skynet organization?"
"I don’t know, I truly don’t know."
Zhang Xian spoke with a chill, "You should be in a high position within Skynet, right? You don’t know where the headquarters is?"
"I really don’t know."
The middle-aged man said, "I only know the headquarters is in Seoul, South Korea, but I don’t know the exact location. Only the intelligence division within Skynet would know."
"So you don’t meet regularly?" Zhang Xian asked with a frown.
The middle-aged man said, "I have met the three main directors, but not the organization’s chief. When we meet, it isn’t at the headquarters, but at other locations."
Zhang Xian took out his phone and held it out to the middle-aged man, "List the names of the people who are easiest to find and who would know most of your organization’s information. Write down their addresses too."
"I don’t have their addresses, and I only know one person. Our organization’s secrecy is extremely high, even encountering someone from our own organization on the street, we might not recognize each other."
The middle-aged man said, "They say that everyone working at the headquarters has to wear a mask and loose clothing. The organization demands confidentiality, and the members don’t want to expose their identities either."
"What kind of arrangements are these?" Zhang Xian was incredulous.
Wearing a mask and loose clothing every day, wasn’t that just asking for trouble?
Chastising himself with a smile, he again asked with a stern face, "So you’re saying that as long as I find someone wearing a mask and loose clothing, they could be part of your organization?"
"No, they act like normal people outside. Only when they enter the headquarters do they change into their own hidden clothing and masks before entering their workplace. The Skynet base isn’t isolated and blends in exactly like other organizations, completely hidden. Forming a camouflage with others enables them to conceal their identities effectively."
Zhang Xian’s mouth twitched unnaturally. He said, "Write down in the phone how to find this person you know."
The middle-aged man unhesitatingly took the phone and started to enter the information.
