The battle in the nightclub was nearing its end, and not many could still stand.

Just then, a wave of men stormed in from outside, wailing on Buckteeth Zhou and his crew as curses filled the air.

"Damn it, you motherfuckers tryna ambush us?"

Seeing the influx of people, Buckteeth Zhou roared, "Goddamn it, boys, beat them to death."

His men immediately launched their counterattack.

Zhang Xian saw what was happening and rushed to the entrance, punching everyone who entered, their numbers piling up faster than he could hit them. Soon, the doorway was blocked by fallen bodies.

Buckteeth Zhou’s men, having taken care of their opponents, looked around for more adversaries, only to be dumbfounded.

Zhang Xian stood alone at the front; only a handful had managed to get past him. Buckteeth Zhou’s crew simply watched, standing behind him.

"What the fuck...what’s going on?" Qin Mazi staggered down from the stairs, shocked by the sight of bodies strewn everywhere.

After trashing a few of Buckteeth Zhou’s operations earlier, he had been afraid of retaliation so he had prepared by bringing a considerable number of men, and even had others stationed in a nearby pub.

What he hadn’t expected was that his army couldn’t hold back Zhang Xian and Buckteeth Zhou. To add insult to injury, all of Buckteeth Zhou’s goons were perfectly fine.

Since when had Buckteeth Zhou’s crew become so powerful and his own so weak? The disparity was astounding. His side had suffered dozens of casualties, whilst Buckteeth Zhou seemed untouched.

"Qin Mazi?"

Zhang Xian turned and, upon catching sight of Qin Mazi, immediately charged towards him.

"Damn, stop him," Qin Mazi roared.

The middle-aged man standing by his side was stunned, unresponsive for a moment.

As for everyone else, they were all at the entrance, their fallen comrades littering the floor inside, either unconscious, screaming in agony, or both.

"Get down." Zhang Xian gave Qin Mazi’s clothes a yank, sending him down the stairs.

"Oh, shit..." Qin Mazi lost his balance and tumbled down the stairs, his head spinning.

As he recovered, he attempted to get up, only to find Zhang Xian standing over him. He fell back down in fear, "Wha... what are you doing?"

"Well, well. I thought you were tough!" Zhang Xian crouched, patting Qin Mazi on the face. "From today onward, you’re no longer a big shot in the Twin Peaks District, it’s time for you to step down."

"What do you mean by that?" Asked Qin Mazi, trembling.

He had received a call from Xie Wuming the previous night and instantly contacted Jin Sanbao. Together, they had trashed Buckteeth Zhou’s operations.

He didn’t expect Zhang Xian’s brutal efficiency. His crew had wept and groveled under the onslaught, utterly defenseless. Now, even he was captured.

"Are you really that stupid?" Zhang Xian gave a cold smile and stood. "Buckteeth Zhou, call Li Likai and tell him to take over Qin Mazi’s turf."

Buckteeth Zhou grinned and dialed Li Likai’s number.

Qin Mazi raged, "The hell, Zhang Xian, what do you mean? Are you fucking trying to take my turf?"

"Yes, I am infringing on you and more." With a chilling laugh, Zhang Xian stepped on Qin Mazi’s arm, "And don’t think for a second Jin Sanbao is safe either. This is the predicament you’ve got yourself into."

"Aaaah..." Qin Mazi let out a blood-curdling scream. "Damn it, Zhang Xian, you won’t get away with this. I won’t let you go."

Zhang Xian wiped his nose and turned to leave. "Buckteeth Zhou, cripple this piece of shit. Then meet me at Jin Sanbao’s place, let’s settle these two fuckers first."

Buckteeth Zhou grinned wickedly and headed over to Qin Mazi.

"Don’t... What the hell are you doing? Buckteeth Zhou, watch yourself," Qin Mazi backed away.

Buckteeth Zhou sneered, "Qin Mazi, you motherfucker, aren’t you the one who used to be so cocky? What happened to that now? Picking a fight with Brother Xian, are you asking for death?"

Qin Mazi swallowed nervously, pleading, "Buckteeth Zhou, let’s not do anything rash. We’ve been enemies for a long time, but we’re still part of the same circle. Don’t go too far, spare me."

"I never said I’d kill you. Just that I’d cripple you. Shouldn’t have been so arrogant before, huh?"

Buckteeth Zhou smirked, "Qin Mazi, Qin Mazi, if you walk this path, you should know that this day was coming. That’s how the world works. Don’t complain too much."

Qin Mazi gasped in terror, "Buckteeth Zhou, don’t be so cruel. There’s nothing good in it for you!"

"I’ve got no fear for the reprisals of a cripple." Buckteeth Zhou gave a cold smile then ordered, "Boys, let’s cripple this piece of shit."

Upon his command, his men rushed forward.

In an instant, screams pierced the air, echoing into the heavens.

The morning soon passed.

As the twelve o’clock bell chimed in the distance, the reigns of Qin Mazi and Jin Sanbao were over.

Tiandu City would no longer be under the control of the two former big shots, Qin Mazi and Jin Sanbao.

Now, in the underworld of Xitan, Twin Peaks, and Longmen districts, there’s only one voice that matter — that’s Zhang Xian’s. Even Xie Wuming does not have the right to make a peep here.

Staring at the entertainment club right before his eyes, Buckteeth Zhou said excitedly, "Brother Xian, I never thought this day would come."

Li Likai was also surprised. He hadn’t expected the two underworld heavyweights to be taken down so easily by Zhang Xian. At the same time, he was glad for the decision he made earlier, or else he would’ve met a gruesome end.

Buckteeth Zhou had bright eyes, nodding his head furiously like a pecking chicken.

Li Likai was also excited. Although he was yet to win Zhang Xian’s trust, he was determined to earn it through hard work.

By then, he believed the benefits he’d reap wouldn’t be any less than those of Buckteeth Zhou. This guy was now a boss in Xitan, Twin Peaks, and Longmen districts, way more powerful than before.

"Jin Sanbao and Qin Mazi have been taken down," Zhang Xian said with a smile. "Next, let’s see if Xie Wuming knows his place."

Buckteeth Zhou said, "Given Xie Wuming’s temperament, there’s no way he’ll let this slide."

Zhang Xian chuckled, "I don’t fear his retaliation. In fact, I’m hoping for it. If not for my promise to Fu Meiting, I would’ve taken him directly. He’s nothing but trouble."

Buckteeth Zhou responded, "Brother Xian, I think you’re taking Sister-in-law Meiting’s thoughts too seriously. That old fox, Xie Wuming, can’t be spared."

"That’s impossible," Zhang Xian shook his head. "I’m different from you guys. Having been chosen by Elder Sister Meiting, I must take responsibility for her. You should know what respect is. Never think that just because a woman gives in to you, you don’t need to respect her. She is a beautiful scene in your life; you must cherish her while you appreciate her, or else the beauty won’t last."

Buckteeth Zhou didn’t quite understand these concepts. He had no idea how to respond, so he simply stood there with a stupid grin on his face.

Li Likai felt the same. In his view, women weren’t that big of a deal.

"Ring-ring-ring..."

Suddenly, a phone rang.

Zhang Xian took out his phone and answered, "Elder Sister Meiting, how can I help you?"

"What good thing could there be? I missed you!"

Zhang Xian chuckled, "Really? You’re not lying to me, right?"

"No, why would I?"

Fu Meiting chuckled a little on the other end of the line, "I just heard that Jin Sanbao and Qin Mazi have fallen. Is it true?"

Zhang Xian responded, "My my, Elder Sister Meiting, your information network is amazing! Those two guys just went down and you already got the news. That’s really fast."

"Of course! How else can I know what’s going on? I certainly don’t want to be kept in the dark."

Zhang Xian had a slight smile and asked, "Elder Sister Meiting, surely you didn’t just call to ask about this? I don’t think you’re that interested in Jin Sanbao and Qin Mazi."

"Yes, I just asked casually. Actually, I wanted to ask if you’re free tonight. Elder Sister Yulan misses you and wants to see... Ah, stop it, Meiting, what are you talking about?"

When Zhang Xian heard Wen Yulan’s voice, he laughed, "Elder Sister Yulan misses me? It’s my pleasure!"

"Not at all, don’t flatter yourself over there!"

Zhang Xian responded, "I’m not flattering myself! I heard it from Elder Sister Meiting. However, I can tell that you don’t really want to let me go, right?"

"Nonsense! I met countless shameless people, but none like you!"

Zhang Xian touched his nose, "I see! I was about to come over. But since you guys seem to despise me, I guess I’d better not go, lest I upset you."

Zhang Xian responded, "Don’t you despise me? Can’t I consider your feelings?"

"Hahaha..." Zhang Xian laughed out loud, "Elder Sister Yulan, would you have fallen for my trick if you didn’t like me? We both know how we feel, why are you denying it?"

Zhang Xian laughed again, "Please, don’t! I was just joking."

"Forget it, I don’t want to talk to you anymore."

Zhang Xian wanted to say something, but Wen Yulan had already hung up the phone.

Seeing Zhang Xian hang up, Buckteeth Zhou laughed and asked, "Brother Xian, you’re quite a ladies’ man! So many wives, even I feel the pressure coming."

Zhang Xian warned him, "Maybe, but you’d do well to watch yourself. Crossing any of them, and I won’t be able to help. I fear nothing in this world, except my wives."
