In Yantai City, in the suburbs, amongst a stretch of mountains and forests.

A young man was idling by a tree, smoking a cigarette after running down from a mountain.

Soon, a BMW and a van arrived amidst the roar of engines, parking on the side of the road.

Upon their arrival, the young man ran over to them, respectfully greeting, "Brother Xian, Brother Zheng, you’re here."

Zhang Xian nodded, asking, "Are you sure they’re here?"

"Well..." The young man scratched his head, saying, "Brother Xian, I didn’t see Elder Sister Hong, but the van definitely came here, it’s up the mountain, in a solitary house."

"Wait here, I’ll go check it out." Zhang Xian nodded and began to walk up the mountain.

As he walked, he realized that the area was secluded with only a handful of houses, mostly with locked doors.

The further he went, the fewer the houses. Under normal circumstances, no one would live in such a place unless someone deliberately built a house here to hide something.

"Brother Xian, should we go together?" He Zheng asked.

"No need," Zhang Xian waved a dismissive hand.

It was possible that Duan Hong was up there, and he didn’t want to bring too many men along. For such a small matter, he alone could easily handle it.

The road to the mountain could accommodate vehicles, but he had no intention of driving up. It was always better to be cautious.

On the mountain, inside a two-story building.

Several middle-aged men were aimlessly watching TV while slouched on the second floor.

One of the men lit a cigarette, expressing his frustration, "Damn this mountain life! Not only is there no cable TV, but the reception is also shitty."

"We have no choice. We have to guard this dang woman, Duan Hong," a shirtless middle-aged man responded.

A red-clad man looked into a room, "Damn, that Duan Hong woman is so beautiful, it really itches me that we can’t touch her. She belongs to the boss."

Smoking man said, "Damn, I want her too! But the boss doesn’t allow, so we can only stare. If Duan Hong was with us, it wouldn’t be so lonely."

The shirtless man chuckled, saying, "If I could sleep with that woman, I won’t mind staying here for a year."

"Keep dreaming!" The man in red scorned, then turned to a silent man, asking, "Look here, Liuzi, why didn’t you bring a woman back to let off some steam? We’ve been here for days with a beautiful sight every day, I think I’m going to go crazy unless I find a woman to vent."

Liuzi replied, "This place is the boss’s secret base, I can’t just bring women back."

"Damn, did you get laid when you went out?" Smoking man asked Liuzi.

Liuzi was taken aback, then chuckled mischievously, "Of course, I did! Been holding it in for days, I couldn’t resist when I finally got a chance."

"Damn, I should be the one to go next," said the man in black, peeved.

At this moment, Duan Hong walked out of her room, shot cold glances at the middle-aged men, and quickly walked downstairs.

These men had no filter, and her room was next door. She could hear every word they said. These men... dared to say they want to sleep with her...

"Where are you going, beautiful?" The man in black stood up and asked.

"I need to use the bathroom. Is that a problem?" Duan Hong replied coldly, and walked downstairs.

The man in black chuckled and followed her down.

Although the door below was locked and the windows too, there were sturdy locks on everything. Not even a strong man could break in, let alone a woman.

But the boss strictly ordered them to keep an eye on Duan Hong. He had to be cautious for fear of any accidents.

"Damn bastard."

Duan Hong was not pleased to see the man in black follow her downstairs.

But there was only one bathroom here, she had no choice but to use it while he let his imagination run wild.

As expected, a small tent seemed to have pitched inside the man in black’s trousers as he listened to the sound of flowing water outside the bathroom. His mind was filled with inappropriate thoughts.

"As I thought, Duan Hong is here."

A shadow outside the window suddenly smiled coldly and threw a punch.

"Bang..."

The man in black was daydreaming about Duan Hong when he heard a loud noise and turned around. His eyes were as wide as cymbals.

Just then, a steel window came flying at him, knocking him out before he could even react.

Zhang Xian smirked, and after breaking into the house, he reached the bathroom door. He used his Spiritual Energy to unlock the door and went in.

"Ah...mmm..." Duan Hong was using the bathroom when a man suddenly barged in. She was taken by surprise. Before she could scream, a big hand covered her mouth.

Zhang Xian smiled and said, "Elder Sister Hong, it’s me."

"Zhang Xian..." When Duan Hong recognized him, she let out a sigh of relief and felt extremely content.

She had been attempting to find a way to escape for several days, but the building was unyielding like a fortress, providing no escape routes, and she was being guarded by several middle-aged men.

Her phone had been confiscated and the room was devoid of any communication devices. She wanted to contact Zhang Xian but she had no means of doing so, leaving her puzzled about how she would manage to escape.

"Elder Sister Hong, put your pants on first." Zhang Xian lowered his gaze, saw the black lace underwear at Duan Hong’s knees, wiped his nose and smiled before saying, "I will take you out of here."

Duan Hong hastily pulled up her underwear, her face flushing with embarrassment.

"What’s going on?"

A surprised shout echoed from above and the three middle-aged men from upstairs came running down, standing astonished at the bathroom door.

Zhang Xian, spotting the figures outside through the glass, gave a smirk and forcefully kicked the door.

"Bang..."

A middle-aged man was about to open the door, checking to see if Duan Hong was still inside.

But just as his hand grazed the doorknob, the door suddenly flew off its hinges, hitting him and sending him flying. The two other men weren’t spared either and immediately lost consciousness.

"Who... who are you?"

The only man who hadn’t collapsed, but got smacked with the door, looked at Zhang Xian bewildered.

"You don’t need to know." Zhang Xian, with a swift kick, knocked him unconscious, swiftly moved to the main entrance, kicked the door open and led Duan Hong down the hill.

Duan Hong was in awe of Zhang Xian’s actions. The building wasn’t any extravagant structure but the doors and windows were sturdy. How was he able to kick the hefty door off its hinges?

"Elder Sister Hong, have you been suffering these past few days?" Zhang Xian asked.

Duan Hong shook her head, "Not exactly suffering, but I was a bit scared."

Seeing that Duan Hong was alright, Zhang Xian let out a sigh of relief, "The one who captured you was Tao Jinbao, right? Looks like your decision to not disclose his schemes was a mistake."

"Yes, I regret it now." Duan Hong nodded and continued, "These past few days I’ve been doing a lot of thinking. Tao Jinbao and I are over. With the way he’s going, he’s bound for a downfall. Since there’s no hope of reconciliation, and he’s so heartless, I don’t need to show him any loyalty. Actually, I don’t know if Tao Jinbao is behind the Zhu’s Pharmaceutical incident but I do know where to find evidence."

Zhang Xian’s eyes lit up, and he asked, "Really? Where?"

Duan Hong didn’t immediately answer, instead she gave Zhang Xian a questioning look and asked, "If I tell you where, will I regret it?"

Zhang Xian asked, "What do you mean?"

"Nothing." Duan Hong laughed and said, "I don’t know the specific name of the location. It’s quite remote, but I know how to get there."

Zhang Xian asked, "Can you take me there now? If Tao Jinbao finds out that I’ve rescued you, he’s most likely going to destroy the evidence, and my efforts would have been in vain."

Duan Hong agreed, "Sure, I’m free anyway. I want to see Tao Jinbao’s downfall with my own eyes."

Around noon, after lunch.

Tao Jinbao reached for his phone and dialed a number, but no one answered.

After several attempts with no answer, he cursed under his breath and tried a different number.

When no one answered the numerous numbers he tried, he shot up from his seat and sprinted outside with remarkable speed.

The only plausible explanation for the lack of response from his four men would be that something had gone wrong with Duan Hong and there was a chance she had been rescued.

Knowing that Duan Hong hadn’t exposed his dark secrets in the past, he was certain with her recent rescue, she’d be more than willing to expose all of his dark secrets.

"Damn woman..."

Hopping into his Mercedes, Tao Jinbao started the engine, slammed the accelerator and sped out of his villa, heading towards a certain direction.

On a rugged mud road, a BMW led the way followed closely by three vans.

Zhang Xian peered outside the window for a moment and then puzzledly asked, "Elder Sister Hong, are you taking us to the countryside? How much further do we have to go?"

"Indeed, it’s kind of like the countryside!" Duan Hong responded, "I found out about this place by accident. I initially thought that Tao Jinbao was visiting his mistress, so I decided to tail him, hoping to catch him in the act. However, when I arrived at our destination, I found that Tao Jinbao actually had a secret research lab in the mountains with several researchers."

Zhang Xian inquired, "Damn! He actually has a research lab? What is he researching?"

"I don’t really know." Duan Hong shook her head and replied, "Back then, I only saw the research lab, he didn’t let me in. If the incident with Zhu’s Pharmaceuticals is indeed linked to Tao Jinbao, then there must be evidence in that lab. The Zhu’s Pharmaceuticals products reportedly contained a new type of toxin, right? Could it be that Tao Jinbao developed it?"

"It’s highly possible," Zhang Xian’s eyes lit up.

Maybe due to his jubilation, he suddenly extended his left hand and snuck it under Duan Hong’s skirt.

"Uh..." Duan Hong looked at Zhang Xian sideways.

Zhang Xian hesitated before quickly retracting his hand, appearing quite embarrassed, "That was... I was too excited because... well... I’ve been investigating this for quite a while now."
