Chapter 185: Chapter 185: A Big Incident Happened_1

Wen Yulan pressed her lips together, her face a picture of conflict.

Faced with such predicament, she felt overwhelmed, always on her guard.

After hesitating for a moment, she eventually didn’t resist. Zhang Xian was a man of his word. If she resisted his friendly arm around her, who knows if he would really smack her shapely butt in the middle of the street?

"That’s more like it!" Zhang Xian chuckled and, wrapping his arm around Wen Yulan’s fragrant shoulder, inhaled the faint scent wafting from her. He visibly relished walking in a certain direction.

Wen Yulan felt a bit ill at ease. But since Zhang Xian didn’t go overboard, she could begrudgingly accept it.

Having been divorced for several years, she felt a bit odd about suddenly being embraced by a man and walking on the street. She couldn’t exactly put her finger on it.

Of course, she didn’t entertain any romantic notions towards Zhang Xian, her student. Despite his numerous flirtatious teasing and his unsolicited touches to her bottom.

"Mommy... Mommy..."

Seeing Wen Yulan from the door of her kindergarten, Yueyue was visibly thrilled.

"Yueyue..."

Wen Yulan approached and scooped Yueyue into her arms, patting her little head, she asked: "Did you behave at school?"

Yueyue nodded her head. "Mommy, Yueyue was the most well-behaved."

"That’s good." Wen Yulan smiled and said, "Yueyue, call him Uncle Xian."

Blinking her big eyes, Yueyue stared at Zhang Xian for a while before meekly saying: "Uncle Xian."

Zhang Xian snatched Yueyue from Wen Yulan, held her close, and after rubbing his stubbly cheek a few times on her cute little face, he laughed heartily: "Haha, Yueyue is so cute, Uncle is head over heels for you, you know!"

Wen Yulan rolled her eyes at Zhang Xian’s buffoonery.

Seeing that Zhang Xian and Yueyue seemed to be hitting it off, cavorting ceaselessly, and both genuinely happy.

Due to certain circumstances, she had to sustain her small family through her job and didn’t have much time to care for Yueyue. She always entrusted Yueyue to the care of her neighbors.

It’s a given that someone else’s child would not receive the same degree of attention. Hence, after staying for some time at her neighbor’s, Yueyue had become more introverted than before, always appearing glum.

If it weren’t for the numerous friends at school during the day, Yueyue might become even more reclusive, potentially even developing severe social withdrawal.

In her current working situation, she couldn’t afford to hire a professional nanny. The neighbor agreed to the arrangement simply because they had plenty of free time and thought of earning some extra money.

Now that Yueyue and Zhang Xian seemed to enjoy each other’s company tremendously, Wen Yulan started to wonder, if Yueyue frequently interacts with Zhang Xian, would she gradually start to overcome her introversion and become more outgoing?

"Yueyue, we’re home. Remember to do your homework! You’ve promised me that you’ll study hard."

After Zhang Xian returned to Wen Yulan’s house with Yueyue in his arms, he pinched Yueyue’s little nose and turned to Wen Yulan: "Teacher Wen, I need to go back to school. I’ll leave first. If you need anything, give me a call. Don’t over-exert yourself like today when you could barely stand due to sickness. Call me early, it’s not worth suffering so much, right?"

Wen Yulan nodded, "Hmm, Zhang Xian, thank you."

Zhang Xian waved his hand dismissively, "It’s nothing."

Yueyue looked reluctant, "Uncle Xian, are you leaving already? Why don’t you stay longer?"

"Haha..." Zhang Xian ruffled Yueyue’s hair and said, "Uncle has some work to do. I’ll come to play with you when I have time. Remember to behave!"

Yueyue nodded, "Okay, I’ll wait for you to come."

Zhang Xian smiled, kissed Yueyue’s cheek, and then turned to leave.

Wen Yulan stood at the door, watching Zhang Xian descend the staircase for a while, then she sighed, walked into the house, and closed the door.

...

By the time Zhang Xian got back to the university, classes were almost finished.

He stood outside the classroom and lit a cigarette, calmly waiting for the bell to ring signaling the end of the class.

"Zhang Xian, how come you are lazing around smoking? Do you know the big commotion that has been happening?" a passing male student exclaimed in surprise when he saw Zhang Xian.

Zhang Xian was taken aback and asked: "Big commotion? What is it about and why I’m I not aware of it?"

The fellow student replied: "Right now, Taekwondo masters are wreaking havoc at the Taekwondo Society! You better go look into it fast!"

"What the hell! What’s up with keeping causing trouble?" Zhang Xian took a drag from his cigarette, then remarked: "But what has that got to do with me?"

"Of course it’s related." The student said: "Isn’t Zhao Fuyuan your disciple? He’s causing a fuss demanding the Taekwondo Society be changed to Martial Arts Club, and is in a fierce dispute with the Taekwondo masters!"

Zhang Xian was a bit peeved when he heard that Zhao Fuyuan had claimed him as his master. However, he felt that he should step in regarding the Taekwondo Society issue.

After all, wasn’t Zhao Fuyuan technically on his side? Even though he won’t take him as his disciple, he should at least lend a hand to him.

Immediately, he threw away his cigarette butt and started walking towards the Taekwondo Society, his feet splayed outward.

Seeing Zhang Xian was heading there, the student hesitated for a moment before deciding to follow. If Zhang Xian was involved, there was bound to be some exciting action, and the Taekwondo master would probably be in hot water once more.

He couldn’t understand why the master had to provoke someone like Zhang Xian. Wasn’t that just masochistic?

...

The Taekwondo Society was at present bustling with noise.

Zhao Fuyuan’s proposal to convert the Taekwondo Society into a Martial Arts Club had provoked rampant fury among the Taekwondo masters.

Damn, I came here to provide guidance, and you go ahead and completely alter the nature of the society! What am I supposed to guide then? How will I show my face at Tsinghua University in the future?

As for Zhang Xian, the blow he’d received yesterday was genuinely painful.

However, he didn’t think that Zhang Xian was invincible, that guy had just taken him by surprise in an unguarded moment.

Try it again, who knows who’d come out victorious. His years of hard work weren’t in vain!

Seeing the noisy and incessant chatter of the Taekwondo master, Zhao Fuyuan grew somewhat irate, "Hey, what the fuck do you mean? What business is it of yours if we convert the Taekwondo Society into a Martial Arts Club? You’re just here to provide guidance, you have no say in the affairs of our university. Now, we are indeed going to convert the Taekwondo Society into a Martial Arts Club, and what can you really do about that?"

"Exactly, what right does a person who can’t even withstand a single slap have to teach us?"

"Change, we must change it. Practicing Taekwondo only gets us beaten up. It’s even more pathetic that we can’t withstand a mere slap!"

"President, ignore this idiot. Starting from today, we belong to the Martial Arts Club. To hell with Taekwondo."

Some club members also started blustering, showing absolutely no respect to the Taekwondo master. For someone who tried to put on a tough front but ultimately couldn’t withstand even a slap, they really didn’t harbor much affection.

If you lack strength, it’s fine to be low-key, but you’re being so vainglorious, acting as if you own the world, who would really give a shit?

"You...you all..."

The Taekwondo master was fuming, his complexion as black as a pot bottom.

What on earth was going on? He came to offer guidance and do a little advertising, hoping to attract some new members.

Now, there wasn’t even a Taekwondo Society left, what would he guide? This was preposterous! Once news of this gets out, how would his reputation survive in Yantai?

The martial arts school had invited him out of trust, and now he’d literally guided the society into oblivity within two days.

Zhao Fuyuan, with his arms folded, looked at the Taekwondo master and asked, "Do you still wanna fight?"

"So what if I do?" the Taekwondo master shot back without hesitation. "You said Taekwondo was no good? Today, I will let you experience how formidable Taekwondo really is."

No sooner had he finished speaking than he made to attack.

At that moment, a large group of people came running in.

"Zhao Fuyuan, Zhao Fuyuan, are you recruiting? We all want to join the club!"

"Exactly, screw Karate. It’s all just a scam with no practical use."

"Fuck it, I quit Karate. I want to learn Huaxia Martial Arts. As Huaxia people, how can we be so ungrateful to our roots?"

Seeing this, the Taekwondo master’s expression got uglier. Not only was the Taekwondo side crumbling, but it seemed things weren’t going too great on the Karate front as well. They all wanted to learn Huaxia Martial Arts?

Upon seeing this, Zhao Fuyuan laughed coldly.

"Shit...

Suddenly, a Karate master rushed in, "Guys, Karate is really great, don’t be fooled by Zhang Xian!"

"No thanks, we’re not learning with you. You’ve got no skill, you’re just taking advantage of us."

"Right, I’m here to learn martial arts, not to sell my body, what are you groping around with your pig’s trotters?"

"Humph, you have the nerve to claim that Karate is powerful? Let’s see if you can withstand a slap and not faint."

Some female club members started to grumble angrily. Even those girls who had previously adored the Karate master were now abandoning him to join the soon-to-be-established Martial Arts Club.

"Shut up, don’t slander us here," the Karate master said indignantly. "Zhang Xian only won because he took us by surprise, that’s not real skill."

A female student retorted disdainfully, "You have the nerve to say that?"

The Karate master, though feeling quite embarrassed, braved himself and retorted, "Humph, let that guy come back again, in just a minute I can pin him to the ground."

"Right, what kind of real skill involves taking others by surprise?" the Taekwondo master said dismissively.

Zhao Fuyuan, with his arms folded, laughed coldly, "You two don’t have much skill, but you sure have a thick skin. Got knocked out by a mere slap, and you have the audacity to accuse others of taking advantage."

A female student chimed in, "Exactly. Zhao Fuyuan was also slapped away, why didn’t he accuse Zhang Xian of taking advantage then?"

Upon hearing this, Zhao Fuyuan’s mouth twitched unnaturally.

Sister, that wasn’t exactly a glorious moment, can you please not bring it up? Isn’t this a bit too harsh?

"Humph, you’d better believe it. If that guy dares to come again, I can pin him down in just a minute," said the Taekwondo master. "I’ve worked hard for these many years, you think I was just wasting my time?"

Just then, Zhang Xian walked into the Taekwondo Society, and heard the Taekwondo master’s brazen words. He couldn’t help but rub his nose and laugh, "I’m here! How do you plan to knock me down?"
