When she saw the person who could make John Brown so afraid, Lucy Campbell was taken aback. Not only did she know Emily Berns, but she had also met her a few times. Emily Berns definitely recognized her, and with her appearance, there was no second one like her in all of A Region, so even if she denied it, it would be no use.

"Lucy Campbell!" Emily Berns finally uttered the three words after a while.

Lucy Campbell could only smile bitterly and say, "Emily Berns, I really didn’t expect to see you here." But now the two had become acquaintances, and avoiding John Brown seemed impossible, especially if there was a connection between John Brown and Emily Berns, things would become even more complicated.

"Lucy, who is this?" John Brown’s voice suddenly sounded beside Lucy Campbell.

Lucy Campbell was startled, not expecting John Brown not only not to hide but also to speak proactively. But why did John Brown’s voice sound somewhat different? Turning her head, she was once again startled. The person beside her was still John Brown in body shape, but his appearance was drastically different. John Brown was considered quite a handsome man, but now this man looked so ordinary that Lucy Campbell found it hard to accept.

"Lucy, do you have friends in YODC City as well?" John Brown held Lucy Campbell’s hand and asked again.

Only then did Lucy Campbell confirm that the man beside her was indeed John Brown, almost causing her to lose her composure. How could someone change their appearance so quickly? But now was not the time to ask, so she could only smile and say, "This is Emily Berns, a friend of mine from the Capital of SSUP. I didn’t expect us to meet here."

John Brown extended his hand to Emily Berns with a smile, saying, "Hello, I’m John Brown, Lucy’s boyfriend."

Emily Berns stared hard at John Brown, realizing he was definitely not the guy she hated to death, it seemed she was truly mistaken. But this man in front of her was too lackluster. After a brief handshake with John Brown, Emily Berns quickly let go. She had no desire to have contact with such a man but was quite curious about this so-called John Brown. What was it about this man that could captivate someone like Mark Smith?

"Emily Berns, are you really the famous celebrity Emily Berns? Is this a dream?" John Brown acted exaggeratedly.

Lucy Campbell found it both amusing and annoying, as John Brown’s acting was quite convincing, saying, "Yeah, do you want me to get you an autograph?"

John Brown chuckled awkwardly, saying, "Of course, that would be great, Emily Berns, one of the top celebrities in our country."

Although Emily Berns was a famous celebrity, she was not that highly ranked domestically since her career hadn’t started early, and she wasn’t one of those celebrities willing to give everything up. Singing and acting in movies were hobbies for her, she only performed if interested, so her appearance rate wasn’t particularly high.

Being praised by John Brown in such a way made Emily Berns feel even more uncomfortable, finding this man really shallow. People at Lucy Campbell’s level didn’t even need to suck up to celebrities, yet her man was asking for an autograph, which was simply degrading.

"Lucy Campbell, I’m really sorry to have disturbed you. I’ll be leaving first, let’s chat more when we have time later." Emily Berns didn’t want to stay there any longer, so she quickly turned around and left after speaking to Lucy Campbell.

Watching Emily leave, John Brown finally breathed a sigh of relief, and Lucy Campbell quickly turned her head to stare at John Brown’s face, asking, "How did you end up looking like this?"

John Brown glanced in the direction Emily had left to make sure she was indeed gone, then relaxed his facial muscles, quickly reverting back to his original look, and smiled, "How about now?"

Lucy Campbell was dumbfounded as she watched John Brown, having witnessed his face change bit by bit, which was truly magical. She stretched out both hands, suddenly grabbing John Brown’s skin, pinching and pulling it while asking, "Which one is the real you?"

John Brown was rendered speechless by Lucy Campbell’s childlike behavior, saying, "Of course, this is the real me now. Earlier, I just adjusted my facial muscles to look like that."

"Oh wow, that’s so fun." Lucy Campbell, still not willing to let go, continued to play with John Brown’s face.

"Stop squeezing, or my skin might fall off." John Brown joked as he pulled Lucy Campbell’s hand away.

"It’s better this way, just thinking about kissing you with that earlier look makes me nauseous." Lucy Campbell lightly patted her chest.

At her words, the two suddenly fell into silence, remaining that way for quite some time before John Brown coughed slightly, saying, "Thank you for helping me just now."

Lucy Campbell tucked a few strands of hair behind her ear and said, "If I knew you could use such a method, I wouldn’t have needed to kiss you to help. I’ve really suffered a loss, losing my first kiss like that."

"Well..." John Brown felt very awkward, unsure of what to say, though he didn’t believe Lucy Campbell kissed him because she liked him.

Lucy Campbell chuckled lightly and said nonchalantly, "Haha, don’t make that face. You already took my first kiss. Remember that time in the jungle when you kissed me underwater? That was truly my first kiss. And what about that time in the sea, you kissed me multiple times while carrying me. So one more time doesn’t make a difference."

John Brown chuckled awkwardly, saying, "I really took advantage then."

"Exactly, what did you think? Let’s go." Lucy Campbell said, looping her arm through John Brown’s, showing no sign of displeasure on her face.

Following Lucy Campbell out, John Brown felt a bit uneasy. Lucy Campbell, the first beauty of SSUP Country, had kissed him. If Lucy Campbell was a frivolous woman, it wouldn’t matter, but she clearly wasn’t. Could it be that she had some special feelings toward him?

This thought only flashed briefly in John Brown’s mind before he dismissed it.

The two of them no longer felt like shopping and left the mall directly. What John Brown didn’t notice was that on the third floor, by the railing, a woman was watching him and Lucy Campbell through binoculars, and that woman was Emily Berns.

"Bastard, it really was you!" Emily Berns whispered with gritted teeth. After leaving, she had felt increasingly uneasy. The voice she heard in the washroom was clearly Lucy Campbell’s. For Lucy to say such things then was obviously a cover, and how could someone like Lucy engage in a public kiss in the mall’s emergency passage? Something was clearly wrong with that man.

Although she left Lucy Campbell, she immediately bought a pair of binoculars to spy on them, and she saw them before they exited the mall.

"Albert Plant, you bastard, you think you can just leave after deceiving me? Not that easily!" Emily Berns muttered to herself, "So you’re now called John Brown, huh? John Brown, if I don’t make you pay, I won’t be Emily Berns."

As John Brown and Lucy Campbell got into the car, Lucy Campbell looked at him, prompting him to start the engine and say, "Emily Berns and I met on a mission once. I was still young then, and proud due to my accomplishments in the Hawk Squad."

Lucy Campbell was listening to John Brown talk about the past for the first time and found it exciting, asking, "Then what happened?"

John Brown lit a cigarette, holding the steering wheel with one hand and opening the sunroof, then continued, "My mission was to protect a government official’s family, and Emily Berns was a friend of that official’s child. We met there. She was a mischievous girl and often teased me. I was young and proud, and we ended up clashing with neither willing to back down."

Lucy Campbell chuckled and dreamily said, "I bet you were fun back then."

John Brown smiled, saying, "Not sure about fun but definitely stubborn. One night, she took my clothes while I was showering, making me stay in the bathroom for over half an hour before I yelled for someone to bring me clothes, and got scolded by the official."

Lucy Campbell laughed more, being a great listener and asked, "What did you do next?"

"Well, I didn’t back down. The next day, when she showered, I sneaked in and took her clothes. This girl was even bolder than me, came to my room wrapped in a towel to confront me. We exchanged heated words, she lunged to hit me, but I dodged, making her fall onto the bed, and then... her towel came undone, revealing her body."

Lucy Campbell didn’t interrupt, already guessing what happened next.

John Brown took a drag on his cigarette, and after tossing away the butt, he said, "And then, in a moment of folly, we ended up being intimate." Even now, thinking back, John Brown felt a mix of emotions as Emily was the one woman he’d forced into intimacy.
