Chapter 346: Chapter 353 Emily Lopez

Seated on the plane heading back, James Brown was still in the middle, with Gina Lopez and Emily Lopez on his left and right, respectively.

As soon as Gina Lopez got on the plane, she remained silent, while Emily Lopez kept chatting with James nonstop with a giggly smile. Though it was mostly her talking and James only occasionally threw in a word or two, Emily’s spirits were still very high.

Emily Lopez gave a mischievous smile and said, "Brother-in-law, you have to be nicer to me from now on. I’ve put so much effort into getting you and my sister together."

"Is that so?" James Brown looked at Emily Lopez with a puzzled expression, while Gina Lopez also turned her gaze towards Emily.

Emily Lopez spoke proudly, "I knew my sister; even if you pursued her, she wouldn’t be moved. Other than her career, she sees nothing else. That’s why I said I liked you and wanted to date you. Then she would be afraid to get together with you, worrying about how to explain it at home, and would thus get together with you herself. Could you two be together without my efforts?"

Although James Brown had sensed Emily Lopez’s intention, now that she said it out loud, he couldn’t help but be caught between laughter and tears.

Gina Lopez, on the other hand, felt an indescribable emotion inside. She had always seen her sister as someone unambitious, always looking to take advantage of her and never growing up, but she hadn’t expected that this time Emily had done everything for her. Emily Lopez wagged her head, saying, "That’s right, you better be grateful, otherwise I’d look down on you. I can bring you together, and I can just as well tear you apart."

Gina Lopez immediately glared and said, "Can’t you think about something more serious for once? Why are you always scheming about me?"

Emily Lopez leaned on James Brown’s shoulder and stretched her head past his face, saying with a grin, "I’m here to supervise by decree. If you don’t live well with my brother-in-law, I’ll bring our mom over."

Gina Lopez snorted and said, "You’d better worry more about yourself. Now that my matter is settled, mom is going to start focusing on you."

Emily Lopez immediately made a bitter face and grabbed onto James Brown’s arm, giving it a gentle shake, "Brother-in-law, can you help me out? Pretend to be my boyfriend when we go back and fool my mom."

James Brown laughed, "I’m already your brother-in-law, how can I still trick mom?"

Emily Lopez giggled, "Isn’t it simple? You just say that you found your long-lost twin brother, and since you’re twins and we are twins, it’s just perfect, right?"

Both James Brown and Gina Lopez were momentarily speechless with frustration. Only Emily Lopez could come up with an idea like this.

The journey was much less dull with Emily Lopez’s antics keeping James Brown and Gina Lopez entertained.

After getting off the plane, the three of them first went to Gina Lopez’s house, then James Brown was about to head home.

"Hey, Brother-in-law, you’re not going to stay here?" Emily Lopez immediately grabbed James Brown’s arm.

James Brown stopped in his tracks and said, "I’ve still got things to take care of at home."

But Emily Lopez didn’t let go, "What other things could there be? You and my sister are married now; aren’t you supposed to be living together?"

James Brown glanced at Gina Lopez. Even after what had happened, they still didn’t feel like a married couple. Gina Lopez quickly chimed in, "He has a girl he needs to take care of at home, so he has to go back."

"What? You’re married to my sister now, how can you still be looking after another girl?" Emily Lopez’s eyes widened in surprise.

Gina Lopez jumped in again, "She’s a high school student."

"Oh, I get it, you mean that... what’s her name... Charlotte, right? That girl is pretty interested in my brother-in-law. Current girls can be so wild, and I’m not comfortable with you going back alone."

James Brown patted Emily Lopez’s hand, "Don’t worry, she has been staying with me for four or five days now. Her parents should be better today, and I’ll send her back home."

"That’s a bit better. Then I’ll go back with you," insisted Emily Lopez, in a manner that made her seem more like James Brown’s wife.

James Brown didn’t refuse, "That’s fine; your sister left some clothes at my place anyway, we can take them back together."

"What do you mean take ’my sister’s’ back? You should take yours over too."

James Brown chuckled dryly and said, "Alright, let’s bring it over together." Since he had already agreed to live life with Gina Lopez, James Brown didn’t want to avoid it. Perhaps this was fate. He had never considered Gina Lopez to become his wife, but somehow, Gina Lopez became his wife.

This time, Gina Lopez didn’t follow James Brown, but after quickly tidying up, she rushed to the company.

It just happened to be noon when James Brown called Sarah Grandy. The young girl quickly came out from school.

Seeing James Brown and Emily Lopez, she thought Emily Lopez was Gina Lopez and affectionately asked Emily Lopez how she was doing.

Emily Lopez did not correct her and pretended to be Gina Lopez.

"Charlotte, I can’t stay at home for a while, so I have to send you back." James Brown went straight to the point.

"I have to go on a business trip, so I can only send you back home."

When James Brown returned home, he helped Charlotte gather clothes, took some of his own, and together with Gina Lopez’s clothes, packed them all into the car. He first sent Charlotte’s things back to her home.

James Brown only took some temporary clothes; he did not bring most of his things. Although he was now married to Gina Lopez, her home still did not feel like his home. This small home was what gave him that feeling.

Moreover, even though he married Gina Lopez, he could not abandon Emma Campbell. Even if it angered Gina Lopez, this small home was still the place he planned to come back to meet with Emma Campbell.

Charlotte’s mother was at home, and seeing that Charlotte had been sent back, she showed a forced smile and said some words of thanks to James Brown. From her behavior, James Brown knew she had not reconciled with her husband, but since it was their family matter, there was nothing James Brown could do. Maybe with Charlotte’s return, it might bring some attention to their relationship and ease it a bit.

James Brown and Emily Lopez returned home, with Emily Lopez helping James Brown hang the clothes in the wardrobe, her face always displaying a radiant smile.

James Brown smiled and said, "I’m saying, Sandra, I married your sister, why are you the happiest?"

Emily Lopez turned her head towards James Brown with a brilliant smile and said, "Of course I’m happy. Now that you and my sister are married, I can see you every day, eat the food you cook every day, talk with you every day, play with you every day. How great is that?"

James Brown said, "Later on, I’ll be accompanying your sister, not you."

"If I live here, you can’t ignore me, right? Anyway, I’m sticking to you. Now that you’ve become my Brother-in-law, there’s no thinking of running away."

"How come I feel that you watch over me even more strictly than your sister does?"

"My sister is a fool. Since she can’t handle it herself, I have to do it."

Seeing how happy Emily Lopez was, James Brown really couldn’t understand what she was thinking. At Gina Lopez’s home, Emily Lopez said everything she did was for her sister. James Brown could believe much of that, but there was still a part he didn’t quite believe. Thinking about the time they played mahjong, the things Emily Lopez did with James Brown under the table, could that have been to stimulate Gina Lopez? Gina Lopez wasn’t there at that time, and Emily Lopez certainly didn’t do it for anyone else to see; it was clearly something she wanted to do herself.

Now that he and Gina Lopez were truly husband and wife, Emily Lopez shouldn’t do that anymore, otherwise wouldn’t that be seducing her Brother-in-law?

After they finished organizing, James Brown and Emily Lopez sat down on the couch. Emily Lopez turned on her phone, then cuddled up to James Brown’s arm and leaned her head on his shoulder, which made James Brown even more uncomfortable. He said, "Sandra, are you tired?"
