Chapter 86: Chapter 86: Do You Want to Be My Bodyguard?

Mo Shu laughed in her sleep.

When she opened her eyes, she found it was later than she had thought.

She got up and stretched, her lips still curling into a faint smile.

Pressing the call bell by her bed, the maids swiftly filed in.

After tidying up her appearance, Mo Shu walked out, Ji Nan immediately followed her, saying, "Princess, Li Linglong hasn’t left yet. When everyone passed by her after school, they were discussing, saying you..."

Mo Shu raised her eyebrows and gave her a sharp look, "Say."

"They said you are cold and heartless, and then Li Linglong argued with them, constantly speaking well of you," Ji Nan sneaked a glance at her, "Should we send someone to ask her to leave?"

"No need," Mo Shu chuckled lightly, "I’ve been cold and heartless not just since yesterday; let them talk."

Ji Nan nodded, "Mr. Meng will be dining at the castle tonight. Old Man hopes that you and President Mo won’t argue."

Argue?

Who would want to argue with that kind of person?

Mo Shu strode out, each step exuding proud and aloof elegance.

Qin An had just arrived home and was about to head to her room when she spotted Mo Shu.

Mo Shu was dressed in a dark blue, form-fitting long dress today. The velvet blue accentuated her flame-like red lips, her formidable presence was overwhelming at first glance, a breathtaking beauty too intimidating to look directly at.

Qin An’s heart skipped a beat, looking at Mo Shu, she inexplicably felt tense all over, and greeted her, "Princess Mo."

It was then that Mo Shu noticed her, responding faintly, "Isn’t it almost dinner time? Let’s go up later."

Qin An was still carrying her school bag, dressed in her uniform. Hearing Mo Shu’s words, she shivered slightly, wondering if she had upset her in some way, forcing a weak smile, "Um... yes."

"Take Miss Qin’s bag to her room," Mo Shu commanded, and a servant immediately took Qin An’s school bag. Mo Shu then looked at Qin An, "Come on, let’s go meet some people."

Qin An felt apprehensive, nodding timidly and following behind her.

Suddenly, Mo Shu stopped in her tracks, and Qin An, startled, braced herself.

Mo Shu slightly tilted her head, her eyes, clear and distinct, glancing at her, "Are you a bodyguard?"

Qin An, caught off guard, said, "Ah?"

"My bodyguards are the ones who stand behind me. Do you want to be my bodyguard?"

It was then that Qin An realized she was standing beside Ji Nan. She laughed awkwardly, "Sorry... my mistake."

Feeling empty inside, Qin An’s smile faded.

With her head down, she moved behind Ji Nan, following behind the bodyguards.

Seeing this, Mo Shu suddenly laughed aloud, as if she had encountered something helpless yet amusing.

Ji Nan quietly tugged at Qin An’s clothes, saying, "The Princess meant for you to walk with her."

"Ah? Me?" Qin An couldn’t believe it, her heartbeat accelerating significantly.

Mo Shu said nothing and walked ahead.

Qin An, still somewhat dazed, was suddenly pushed from behind by Ji Nan.

Qin An then realized and quickly followed.

As soon as she got close, a light fragrance unique to Mo Shu wafted into her nose.

She was actually... standing beside Mo Shu?

This realization made Qin An’s heart beat even faster.

Unable to help herself, she looked up stealthily at her. Qin An saw her delicate and fair side profile, but in the next instant, she looked her way.

Qin An’s heart skipped a beat, and she quickly looked away, feeling as guilty as if she had been caught in a wrongdoing, unable to stop the guilt that overwhelmed her.
