Chapter 84: The Homeless Dog

Chapter 84: Chapter 84: The Homeless Dog

Gu Wenjuan, holding an umbrella, squatted beside her, her face filled with worry, "Are you okay?"

Seeing her, Li Linglong couldn’t contain her anger. Despite her lack of strength, her rage surged as she said, "You still have the face to show up? My downfall today is all because of you!"

Listening to her weak curses, Gu Wenjuan felt guilt. She rested the umbrella on her neck and twisted open a bottle of mineral water, "Take a sip."

Li Linglong was terribly thirsty, and the early autumn weather was exceedingly dry. Seeing the mineral water, she quickly grabbed it and guzzled it down into her stomach.

In no time, the water in the bottle was gone.

Gu Wenjuan handed her a newly bought bread and said softly, "Kneeling here is useless. Princess Mo didn’t come to school today."

Looking at the bread, Li Linglong swallowed her saliva and tears suddenly fell. "I know that, but I have no other choice. I absolutely can’t get close to Mo Family Castle, so I had no choice but to kneel outside the school."

Seeing Li Linglong like this, it was hard for Gu Wenjuan to connect her to the arrogant girl from that night. She looked at her sympathetically and said, "But doing this, Princess Mo won’t know..."

"How could she not know?" Li Linglong sobbed, "She knows. She just doesn’t want to deal with me. She doesn’t want me anymore. We used to be such good friends. It’s all because of you!"

Gu Wenjuan frowned and said, "How can it be because of me?"

"If it weren’t for you going to that party that night, Young Master Yu wouldn’t have noticed you. If he hadn’t noticed you, Princess Mo wouldn’t have asked us to teach you a lesson, and we wouldn’t have been caught by Young Master Yu. Now, our family is bankrupt, all because of you!"

Gu Wenjuan felt extremely wronged, yet she could hardly believe it as she asked, "That night, was it Princess Mo who asked you to teach me a lesson?"

"Yes, otherwise do you think we would have the courage?" Li Linglong sneered coldly, "Princess Mo saw everything that night, how you and Young Master Yu were flirting with each other. She’s a high and mighty princess; how could she tolerate that? Of course, she had to teach you a lesson! I heard she even went to your classroom to invite you to dinner? Hah, don’t be foolish. She was just numbing you, all to drop you from happiness into despair, wanting you to suffer!"

Gu Wenjuan was slightly shocked.

But then she recalled Princess Mo’s proud and noble demeanor, which didn’t seem like someone who would do such things.

Gu Wenjuan was about to say something when she suddenly heard a shout, "Gu Wenjuan."

Gu Wenjuan turned her head and saw her classmate, Qin An.

Qin An walked towards them, glanced at Li Linglong, and then said to Gu Wenjuan, "Didn’t we say we were going to see a movie together? We’ll be late if we don’t hurry."

Gu Wenjuan paused, looked at Li Linglong, and then stood up and walked towards Qin An.

Seeing Qin An, Li Linglong’s eyes filled with even more jealousy. "Just a drag brought along by Princess Mo’s stepmother, don’t think that entering Mo Business will skyrocket you to success. Low lives will always be low lives!"

Qin An didn’t even look at her and said, "Still better than some homeless dogs."

Li Linglong was so infuriated she wanted to hit her, but after kneeling for too long, she fell flat on her face as soon as she tried to stand.

Walking alongside Qin An, Gu Wenjuan heard Li Linglong’s words and said in shock, "You’re Princess Mo’s..."

"Stepsister," Qin An looked at her and advised, "Princess Mo quite likes you now. Don’t get too close to that kind of person; be careful to avoid inviting trouble."

"That kind of person," naturally referred to Li Linglong.
