"Hold them a bit longer, it’s good exercise," Su Yanyi said, not without disdain.

"Mom said it’s normal for children to be a bit chubby when they’re young. They’ll naturally slim down as they grow up," Qin Jiran simply replied, although he had said this more than once, and with less and less confidence each time. After all, their babies were indeed getting chubbier—looking at their chubby little faces, they really resembled big steamed buns.

"Self-deception," Su Yanyi obviously didn’t believe such talk. She lacked experience in childcare herself but had the System to consult, and the System’s response did not surprise her. "They can only roll over; how are they supposed to exercise?" Exercise? Practice rolling over or being rolled over? Qin Jiran looked at the babies and then at Su Yanyi’s earnest expression. Despite feeling a tad helpless, he also found it amusing. The serious Yanyi, so earnest in her contention with the babies, was truly adorable. However, these thoughts were confined to his mind alone. If he said them out loud, Yanyi would become annoyed and enraged.

Qin Jiran was now getting to understand Su Yanyi’s temperament more and more. And after having children, Su Yanyi seemed to be becoming more childlike herself. Maybe her bullying of the babies was just Bear Mom’s unique way of expressing love.
