Chapter 412: Chapter 412 Colosseum (6)
Tiger was taken aback but quickly recovered with a naive smile, patting his head and saying, "I didn’t go anywhere yesterday, just hung around the bar, pretty ordinary stuff."
At Tiger’s words, the expressions of those present all changed, some struggling to suppress laughter, others unable to hold back and chuckling. This overly obvious feigning of ignorance was hard for anyone to play along with.
"Then let’s go have a look at the bar," Su Yanyi said, clearly aware of Tiger’s oddity and with a statement that gave Tiger a headache.
What Su Yanyi said was the final decision. Everyone immediately began to prepare, picking up communicators, weapons, and mapping out the route. Of course, the headache-ridden Tiger was in charge of leading the way.
"You know, there really isn’t anything interesting at the bar, and it seems to only get lively at night. Going there in broad daylight doesn’t seem like much fun," Tiger struggled desperately, trying to discourage Su Yanyi from her decision. The place he had gone to was indeed a bar, but it was no ordinary bar. The shows performed there were very intense, and while it would have been fine if just the brothers went to watch, it was absolutely inappropriate for the young miss and her husband to go!
"That makes a lot of sense," Su Yanyi stopped walking, seeming to agree with Tiger’s words.
Tiger immediately broke into a smile, obligingly saying, "Right, let’s switch to another place. The bar really isn’t interesting at all."
"Okay, then let’s go to the bar tonight!" With one sentence, Su Yanyi made Tiger’s headache return. He felt going at night might be even worse than going now. What if the night shows were no longer playing by then? How had he been so dumb not to consider this possibility!
"So, where are we going now?" Tyrannosaur asked indifferently. It didn’t matter where they went as long as he could ensure the safety of the young miss and her husband.
"Young miss, let’s go to the Colosseum; it’s really violent, bloody, and thrilling!" Rabbit immediately hopped out with excitement. She truly wanted to hop around at the Colosseum!
"Then let’s go to the Colosseum," Su Yanyi looked at Rabbit, whose eyes were eagerly alight, found it amusing, and so agreed to Rabbit’s request. After all, she didn’t have any particular place she wanted to visit.
"Heck yeah, big sis is so straightforward, you definitely won’t be disappointed once you see what’s there!"
The group then set off for the Colosseum, which really was a platform, located on the deck of the Luxury Liner. Even before getting close, cheers could be heard and a high platform could be seen in the distance with some figures on it. But as one approached, it became clear that entering the Colosseum required identity verification. However, with Su Yanyi’s gold card paving the way, they naturally faced no obstruction.
After verifying their identities, an attendant gave everyone a small device, which detailed the various rules of the Colosseum. The rules were simple: no weapons were allowed on the platform, but all bodily maneuvers were fair game. The most appealing aspect of the Colosseum was the fight betting, and the device had numbered entries. If any guests wanted to participate, they could sign up through the device.
The group was seated at a round table near the front, with Su Yanyi and Qin Jiran taking their seats and the other ten people scattering around on alert. The open-air environment carried a certain level of danger.
"Rabbit, are you interested in getting on stage?" Su Yanyi glanced at the rules. Here, gambling fights could be a matter of life or death, as long as both parties agreed to it.
"Of course! Otherwise, I’d just be wasting my time here. Young miss, register me and bet a million or eight hundred thousand on me; I’m sure to win!" Violent Rabbit was naturally aware of the rules and confident in her skills, and such life-or-death arenas were nothing extraordinary for them.
"Then go for it," Su Yanyi handed the communicator to Kangaroo to operate and also agreed to Rabbit’s request to fight.
Qin Jiran sat beside Su Yanyi, his gaze scanning the surroundings and finally landing on the stage with a somewhat grave expression. At that moment, two men—one a tall, muscular black man, looking like a mini giant at around two meters, and the other, a somewhat shorter white man—were fighting on the platform. It appeared they had been battling for some time, both had injuries, and had spat blood several times. Yet they showed no sign of giving up, fighting as if their lives depended on it, evoking a sense of tragic determination.
While Qin Jiran had witnessed life-or-death fights before, having fought with hoodlums in his youth where every punch could be a fight for survival, this form of combat or gambling duel was new to him, bringing an unavoidable heaviness to his heart.
This cruise ship truly ushered him into a different world.
