Qin Jiran just smiled and didn’t concern himself with everyone’s surprise as he went straight to the kitchen. He certainly didn’t want Yanyi to really go hungry.

Luckily, Su Yanyi had no idea what Xiao Su Nuo was thinking, otherwise she would surely get angry! She’s human too; why couldn’t she have friends?

"Nuonuo is such a good boy. I am Aunt Su Yun. Come here, let auntie hold you, okay?" Su Yun loved children; in fact, she was pretty much just a big kid herself, always smiling, playful, and mischievous.

Su Yanyi didn’t bother with idle chit-chat and started eating, as she was indeed quite hungry, having not eaten lunch!

Seeing Su Yanyi pick up her chopsticks, everyone eagerly began to eat. The first few bites were slow and careful, a taste test of sorts, but after that, their pace picked up significantly.

Su Yanyi’s eyes glinted as she quickened her own pace and even whispered to Qin Jiran, "Eat quickly." With these people around, if you’re slow, you might not get enough to eat!

Qin Jiran, feeling the cheerful dining atmosphere, silently smiled and tenderly piled more food onto Yanyi’s plate, a gesture of warmth and care that didn’t escape the notice of others. They grew even more appreciative of Qin Jiran, especially the two women present who increasingly regarded him as a truly good man.
