Chapter 320: Chapter 320 Sorry (6)
The videos taken by the two gangster girls had also reached Su Yanyi promptly, and she returned home with them, going straight to the study.
As she watched the pitiful footage of Wang Zhilin, Su Yanyi suddenly felt as if she was indeed a bit twisted. Otherwise, why would she feel a sense of satisfaction?
Qin Jiran came back rather late, having been shooting the last few scenes these past couple of days, which always kept him out until late. Not finding Su Yanyi in the bedroom, he went directly to the study. With the computer’s screen facing away from the door, although Qin Jiran couldn’t see the display, he could hear the voice of a woman—unfamiliar yet not entirely strange.
"What are you watching?" Qin Jiran asked as he walked over and immediately sensed something off about Su Yanyi. Her emotions seemed somewhat unstable, and usually, this was related to matters involving Wang Zhilin.
Su Yanyi slowly looked up, her gaze moving away from the screen, and spoke in a cold voice, "I had someone go teach Wang Zhilin a lesson, and I’m reviewing the video."
Qin Jiran walked over, his gaze falling on the computer screen, which was playing a video of Wang Zhilin kneeling on the ground, crying and begging for mercy. Her hair was disheveled, her face looked old and haggard—to the point where she could almost be mistaken for someone else, no longer bearing any resemblance to the rich lady she once was, but rather appearing as a beggar in utter disarray.
"Is it amusing?" Su Yanyi asked, seemingly curious upon seeing Qin Jiran watching the video.
Qin Jiran’s eyes flickered. He didn’t find such content amusing in the slightest, and he was more concerned about Su Yanyi’s condition.
"Have you finished watching? It’s quite late, shall we go to rest together?" Qin Jiran said, pointedly changing the subject and casually taking Su Yanyi’s hand in his. Her hand was somewhat cold, which made him even more worried.
"Heh, why are you being so careful? Do you think I’m not normal, too?" Su Yanyi laughed out suddenly upon seeing how Qin Jiran was acting, breaking the somewhat oppressive atmosphere and relaxing his tense mood by a good measure.
Seeing Su Yanyi’s light laughter, Qin Jiran chuckled foolishly, leaned down, and gently embraced her, explaining, "I’m just a bit worried. That woman isn’t worth your trouble."
"I’ve got it, you’ve already said that," Su Yanyi said with some impatience at Qin Jiran’s redundancy, understanding clearly what he meant.
"Alright, I’m being naggy. I’ll stop now. Let’s go rest, I’m tired," Qin Jiran said with a smile, refraining from further comment, feigning a pathetic look for sympathy.
Su Yanyi glanced at Qin Jiran, who blinked innocently, and then finally she said, "Okay, let’s go to rest."
Qin Jiran immediately showed a gentle smile, took Su Yanyi’s hand, and they left together. Su Yanyi turned off the power to the computer before leaving, and the screen went dark.
After both had taken their baths and lay in bed, surrounded by a familiar scent, Qin Jiran felt it had been several days since they had been close. He could not resist being affectionate with Su Yanyi for a while, planting countless light kisses all over her body, not stopping until he was almost unable to control himself, and then, somewhat reluctantly, he let go and pulled Su Yanyi into his arms.
Su Yanyi’s eyes grew hazy from the kisses, but once again, she noticed the man’s restraint. Coming back to her senses, she narrowed her eyes dangerously and stared straight at him.
Finding himself under Su Yanyi’s intense gaze made Qin Jiran a bit uneasy, and he couldn’t help but ask, "What’s wrong, what are you looking at?"
Su Yanyi thought this man really was as thick as a plank. Once, twice, three times, even four, to torment someone like this—did he truly believe she would have no reaction, no temperament at all?
