Firstly, there was the issue with the study. Previously, he and Su Yanyi had used two separate ones, and moreover, their locations were several rooms apart, but now the study was a large single room, ingeniously divided by a bookshelf in the middle, which gave the impression of two separate rooms, but in reality, it was still one room. If they were to talk loudly, they could hear each other.

Of course, this wasn’t a big problem for Qin Jiran, and he even felt happy about it. He could be closer to Yanyi while working, and he naturally preferred that. He was just afraid that Su Yanyi might not like it.

"Is the study set up like this okay with you? I’ll try to be more careful in the future and won’t disturb you," said Qin Jiran to Su Yanyi, who was beside him placing her things.

"Of course," Su Yanyi said as she walked over to the left side to arrange her belongings. This small building was constructed for her, so she was very familiar with it. If she had disagreed, she wouldn’t have moved here to live. Qin Jiran’s question was quite superfluous.

Seeing Su Yanyi’s actions, Qin Jiran also cheerfully started to organize, and after arranging the study, they were going to set up the bedroom next. Qin Jiran felt that Mother Su and Father Su must have known about them living in separate rooms before, as after all, the servants in the small villa were arranged by the Su family. Thus, he overlooked the housing issue when moving back. To his surprise, they were arranged to share one room; all his luggage and personal items had been moved over as well. This was clearly the master bedroom. He wondered if this was an oversight or intentional?

In fact, Yanyi was also pondering over this issue. Despite her calm appearance, she was rapidly considering the situation in her mind.

With regard to the study, she naturally had no issues with it. Although it was a large single room, there was a distinct space for each of them, close enough yet not obstructive to one another.

And as for the bedroom situation, it was clearly her oversight as well, just as Qin Jiran had thought. She too had naturally assumed that the servants would arrange for them to stay in separate rooms because after all, there were many rooms in this small building, not just this one master bedroom. However, the reality was evidently not the case.

But, when she came to know of this, her first reaction wasn’t to object, but rather to tacitly agree to such an arrangement. She and Qin Jiran were husband and wife; sharing a room was the normal thing to do. They had even slept together the previous night, and that feeling wasn’t bad at all. Now that they were back in the big house, perhaps it was the right time to take their relationship a step further. Qin Jiran was quite wooden, and if she wasn’t more proactive, it seemed their relationship really would have to wait!

And she didn’t know since when, but Su Yanyi had grown to really dislike the word "wait." It was so annoying, wasn’t it!
