Chapter 55: Chapter 53 Negotiations
If Yuji hadn’t used the Yang Spirit Jade, perhaps she could have lived a bit longer, but Yuji’s use of the Yang Spirit Jade allowed Feng to see that Yuji had harmed so many of his Dragon Country compatriots, thoroughly enraging Feng.
And because of this, Yuji had hastened her own death.
...
The entire estate fell silent, completely engrossed in stillness, as if the air had stopped flowing and space had frozen. Qian Jia stayed rooted to the spot, utterly unable to accept what had happened, overwhelmed with shock.
"How... how could this be!" It took several breaths for Qian Jia to recover, her heart’s turmoil far from subsiding, looking at Feng as if he were a monster: "You... you... you’re not human, you’re a demon!"
Yuji’s strength had increased tenfold, yet she was still no match for Feng and was casually slain by his hand.
Such power was completely beyond Qian Jia’s imagination.
"Mere ants, not worth mentioning..." Feng said indifferently.
"..." Qian Jia was dumbstruck, utterly speechless, unable to refute Feng in the face of absolute strength, rendered powerless by whatever she might say.
"This Yuji must have a way to contact Shouzhong, you now immediately contact Shouzhong..." Feng ordered.
Qian Jia dared not refuse; she went to Yuji’s corpse and extracted a mobile phone from the body, a phone with only one contact—the head of Shadow Stream, the so-called Ninja God Shouzhong!
Qian Jia dialed the number and handed the phone to Feng.
Following that, Qian Jia looked at Feng as if he were an idiot, despite his monstrous strength.
But in her heart, it was the invincible Shouzhong, a godlike figure, who stood as the real undefeatable.
Now that Feng had initiated contact with Shouzhong, it was akin to seeking death.
"Hey, Yuji, how is the collection of Pure Yang Power going?"
In no time, a somber, authoritative voice came through the phone.
"It’s me..." Feng said indifferently.
"You’re not Yuji? Who are you? Do you know what you’re doing, boy? You’re playing with fire. Your actions have already declared your death sentence. No matter who you are, you will die within three days..." Shouzhong said coldly, full of confidence, ready to end the call.
Qian Jia rejoiced in her disaster, knowing Feng had been thoroughly marked by Shadow Stream.
"Shouzhong, when you knelt before me begging for mercy three years ago, what did you say? Have you forgotten the feeling of your wails? Want to remember it again?" Feng asked lightly.
"This person must be insane?" Qian Jia thought with a sneer, looking at Feng disdainfully.
In her mind, how could the almighty, invincible Ninja God ever kneel to beg for mercy? That was utterly impossible!
"You are... you’re Feng!" Instantly, Shouzhong on the other end of the line shouted in shock.
Three years ago, the Ninja God had stealthily infiltrated Dragon Country but was severely wounded by Dragon Country’s War God Feng with one move, nearly killed with the second. If it weren’t for Shouzhong immediately kneeling to beg for mercy and offering a substantial compensation to Dragon Country, he would have died.
That lesson was painfully memorable, and Shouzhong’s wounds had not yet fully healed. To keep Feng quiet about the incident, Shouzhong had paid a hefty compensation, which now caused him heartache and sleepless nights.
Hence, the only person who could bring up this incident besides Shouzhong was Feng.
Shouzhong’s serious tone immediately became much more relaxed, and he spoke warmly: "Feng, how have you been lately? What made you think to contact me?"
"How can this be?" Witnessing this scene, Qian Jia’s jaw dropped in shock, frozen on the spot.
Qian Jia couldn’t imagine that the all-conquering, omnipotent Ninja God would humbly smile in front of this young man in his twenties. It was simply unimaginable.
Feng snorted coldly: "Stop playing the fool. We had an agreement that your Shadow Stream people would never set foot in Dragon Country. So what’s the situation now? If you don’t give me an explanation, then I will immediately head to your Ninja Holy Land and eradicate it!"
Feng’s arrogance knew no bounds, yet Shouzhong showed no anger; he knew all too well that Feng could follow through.
Shouzhong was almost the strongest in his country, yet he couldn’t withstand a single blow from Feng. If Feng went to the Holy Land, destroying the Ninja Holy Land would be as simple as slicing through a melon.
"Feng, that wasn’t our Shadow Stream people, just a bunch of despicable people using our Shadow Stream’s name. It has nothing to do with me and Shadow Stream, don’t misunderstand!" Shouzhong hastily denied accountability.
"Shouzhong, long time no see. I think I’ll come to visit you tonight..." Feng said quietly.
"No no no! Feng, I was wrong, I admit my mistake, I’m willing to compensate, please don’t do anything rash, I really know I was wrong!" Shouzhong shouted in panic.
Qian Jia looked at Feng in utter despair, unable to accept how Shouzhong could be so cowardly.
"Then you tell me, what should we do?" Feng asked.
"I’ll compensate, I’m willing to make compensation!" Shouzhong hastily responded.
Feng then revealed a satisfied smile: "A hundred Water Source Crystal Essences, a hundred Heavenly Dragon Essences, one hundred thousand sets of top-level warrior equipment, delivered to Dragon Country within three days, and I forgive you!"
"Impossible!" The Ninja God panicked instantly: "Feng, how could I possibly provide so much? Even if I bankrupt myself, even if I emptied all of the Ninja Holy Land’s resources, it wouldn’t be possible... How about ten Water Source Crystal Essences, five Heavenly Dragon Essences, a thousand sets of top-level warrior equipment, I really can’t come up with more..."
"Alright! Remember, you’ve got three days. If you don’t deliver, I’ll come to visit you!" Feng hung up the phone after speaking.
Feng was very satisfied. In fact, he had only planned to ask for five or six Water Source Crystal Essences, two or three Heavenly Dragon Essences, and a few hundred sets of top-level warrior equipment, but Shouzhong, scared by Feng, had left a huge psychological scar and hence offered so much more.
After the negotiation, Feng walked away, leaving the estate and making a phone call to Liu Mu, instructing Liu Mu to clean up the site.
Qian Jia stood alone in the estate, looking at the corpses scattered all around, her face ashen. Despair overcame her for her unintended consequences had led to the obliteration of the entire stronghold. Qian Jia took out a dagger, plunged it into her heart, and collapsed amid the pile of bodies.
