The Strongest Mythical Emperor
Chapter 838: Sink the Demon Ruins

Chapter 838: Chapter 838: Sink the Demon Ruins

Boom! Boom! Boom...

The Nether Emperor, Tathāgata, and Randeng moved with incredible speed, whipping up storms of sand wherever they passed. Soldiers from both sides had no time to dodge and were directly crushed to death by their overwhelming presence.

The clash of three formidable beings shook the nearby domains, leaving all the creatures who rushed to witness it completely dumbfounded.

"Is that Randeng?"

"Hiss—The Nether Emperor is teaming up with someone to fight Randeng? Could it mean that Randeng is stronger than The Nether Emperor?"

"Terrifying. Who exactly is Randeng? Is he a divine being from beyond the heavens?"

"Is that the monk known as the Evil-subduer? The Buddhist chant earlier made my heart skip a beat!"

"It seems we haven’t come here in vain!"

Creatures were buzzing with discussion, and following their gaze, the ground before them had split open to create countless gorges. King Yan City hovered in the air, wind and sand swirling around it. The City Defense Array had been broken, allowing an opportunity for the Netherworld Soldiers to rush in.

Fortunately, Qin Jun was on the battlefield, and since the primary target of the Netherworld army was him, it meant that King Yan City remained unharmed.

Rumble—

The earth trembled violently as a virtual Wolf Demon sprinted forth, scattering countless Netherworld Soldiers in its path, with even generals of the Daluo Immortal Realm unable to stop it.

The other two virtual Wolf Demons were also unstoppable, ramming through everything in their way.

Qin Jun leaped among hundreds of thousands of Netherworld Soldiers, his three Heavenly Cycle Wheels slashing through all the Netherworld Soldiers who came close to him.

His palms too were not idle as he continuously unleashed the Cycle Heavenly Palm. Now, he had only over seven hundred split bodies left, a testament to the battlefield’s brutality.

"Die!"

A Netherworld General of the Golden Immortal Realm in his final stage roared as he swung his great sword, its Sword Qi tearing open the ground like a series of erupting volcanoes, covering a thousand meters in the blink of an eye and charging towards Qin Jun.

Qin Jun’s pupils contracted. He didn’t have time to use his "Seventy-Two Transformations," so he quickly placed his three Heavenly Cycle Wheels in front of him, stacking them together.

Boom—a muffled collision sounded, and the Heavenly Cycle Wheels shattered. Qin Jun felt an unstoppable force hit him, sending him flying and spewing fresh blood, his bones feeling as if they were coming apart.

"Is this the power of a Daluo Golden Immortal?"

Qin Jun’s mind was shaken, his body uncontrollably flung a thousand meters away, fortunately caught in time by Yang Chan.

"How dare you!"

Meng Tian immediately flew into a rage, growing to a towering height of fifty feet as he charged towards the sword-wielding Netherworld General. Wang Jian, though silent, charged with equal murderous intent.

Qin Jun rubbed his chest and muttered with a wry smile, "Seems there’s still a gap between me and a Daluo Golden Immortal."

Yang Chan glanced at him with annoyance. You’ve already surpassed so many levels, what more do you want?

"Humph! If it weren’t for my strength, you would be nothing but dust!"

Ji Yongsheng snorted in disdain within Qin Jun’s mind.

Qin Jun smugly thought to himself, "What’s yours is mine, and what’s mine is still mine."

Ji Yongsheng was left speechless.

Meanwhile, countless Netherworld Soldiers surged forward again, seeking to overwhelm Qin Jun and Yang Chan.

Qin Jun pulled Yang Chan behind him and spat out the Samadhi Real Fire, the roaring flames illuminating the heavens and the earth.

Hundreds of his split bodies also converged, but in comparison to the Netherworld Soldiers coming from all directions, their number was insignificant.

Standing in the midst of the battlefield, one could easily feel an overwhelming sense of despair, knowing that one would either die fighting or be trapped in an endless battle.

All that could be seen were soldiers from both sides, and in the dim world, hope was nowhere to be found.

Boom! Boom! Boom...

The Cycle Heavenly Palm continuously struck out, and since the Netherworld Soldiers were so densely packed, each palm strike hit its mark, providing Qin Jun with an endless supply of mana.

He finally understood what it felt like for Ji Yongsheng to battle with gods and immortals for hundreds of years.

In a battle, the Cycle Heavenly Palm was absolutely dominant, but if he was fighting against only a few people, there was no guarantee of hitting the enemy.

"Just hold on a little longer!"

Qin Jun clenched his teeth as he looked at the distant battle, where Randeng, with the help of the Universe Ruler, was fighting Tathāgata and the Nether Emperor to a standstill.

It seemed the Universe Ruler could neutralize all magic and divine powers; the Netherworld dragon energy couldn’t break through, and even the Tathāgata’s divine palm couldn’t prevail.

Plus, Randeng’s higher cultivation level meant he was unfazed by their attacks.

"Is this really all the strength you have?"

Randeng laughed arrogantly, nearly driving the already proud Nether Emperor to explode with anger.

This ugly Taoist was too insolent!

Even Tathāgata’s composure was almost shattered, as he, with his memories of his former life restored, knew the full extent of his peak strength and thus felt especially frustrated facing Randeng’s provocation.

The Universe Ruler whipped up another storm and attacked Tathāgata, who sat unmoving on his golden lotus pedestal, as steady as a mountain.

"That Golden Lotus is no ordinary thing!"

Randeng thought to himself as he stared at the Golden Lotus beneath Tathāgata, believing such a treasure should belong to him and him alone.

At that moment, the Nether Emperor didn’t give him another second to think, lunging at him with his spear.

For the three of them to determine a victor was incredibly difficult and would certainly require a great deal of time.

The war thus ground on relentlessly.

The area for thousands of miles around was nothing but battle, with deafening roars, and bright lights flashing continuously across the heavens and earth. The screams of agony and roars of beasts filled the air as the land kept sinking; the canyons carved by their destructive power had stretched to the farthest ends of the Demon Ruins, and were extending towards other domains.

The creatures on the edge of the battlefield watched with agape mouths as the land kept collapsing—is this the pace that the Demon Ruins are going to sink at!

"This battle is unlikely to end within a day."

"Randeng is so strong, what is his background exactly?"

"King Yan seems to have weaker cultivation, how can he possibly lead King Yan Palace?"

"No one knows how the situation will evolve next."

"Do you guys think the Demon Emperor from the Donghuang Territory might come to join the fray?"

Beings discussed amongst themselves, as this was the most grand battle they had ever witnessed, with figures like the Nether Emperor, who for them had only existed in legends.

Qin Jun moved across the battlefield, deepening his understanding of the Cycle Heavenly Palm and the Heavenly Wheel of Life and Death with each passing moment.

These two mysterious Divine Powers required battle to be enhanced.

"If you were to cultivate these two Divine Powers to their peak, across the three thousand worlds, there would be no one who could be your match!" Ji Yongsheng arrogantly said in Qin Jun’s mind.

Qin Jun focused on the battle and did not respond.

But he didn’t scorn Ji Yongsheng’s words—in fact, he acknowledged that these two Divine Powers were indeed extraordinary.

However, what he was most urgently concerned with was when the task of standing guard for ten days would be completed.

Since the beginning of the war, he’d lost track of time, but everywhere his gaze fell was littered with corpses and rivers of blood, signaling the lengthy duration of the conflict.

The numbness of battle made him forget the time, and he could only wait for a prompt from the system.

Time flew swiftly by.

Yang Chan, drained by excessive use of her magical power, had a pale face void of color, and even her right hand that was holding the Treasure Lotus Lamp was trembling.

Far away, the Nether Emperor, Tathāgata, and Randeng were still embroiled in a fight, evenly matched and unable to determine a victor.

"Ding! Sub-quest completed—Stand Guard for Ten Days! You’ve earned one God and Demon summon opportunity and one God and Demon instance opportunity!"
