The Strongest Mythical Emperor -
Chapter 661: Emperor of Heavenly Destiny
Chapter 661: Chapter 661: Emperor of Heavenly Destiny
The small world where the God Temple resided was vast and magnificent, making Qin Jun feel as if he was still in the great world of heaven and earth.
After walking for the duration of half an incense stick, Qin Jun had yet to see a flying island or building.
He couldn’t help but ask, "How much farther is the God Temple?"
The Black Butterfly Fairy, walking in the lead, replied without turning her head, "Soon!"
Qin Jun was frustrated. Even with his Divine Consciousness probing, he couldn’t detect the location of the God Temple.
Sun Wukong and Luo Shixin weren’t in a hurry, though; looking around east and west, they were curious about this small world.
"The God Temple possesses many small worlds. This small world alone is larger than the Southern Domain and the Southernmost Sea combined. Although you have grown powerful before, your understanding of this great world is shallow," the Black Butterfly Fairy said as she walked, like a teacher educating a student.
Qin Jun didn’t retort but listened seriously instead.
This so-called great world was the domain he lived in, where hundreds of domains were unified. Both the Southern Domain and this place were regarded as small worlds, existing like different dimensional spaces.
To be fair, even though he had heard a good deal of information, how vast this great world truly was and its structure, Qin Jun didn’t know much. His subordinates’ worldviews were also limited. The God and Demons had no clear idea of the top-tier structure of this world—creatures of the Southernmost Sea and Southern Domain couldn’t reach the higher skies either.
"Even a Daluo Golden Immortal would need an extremely long time to travel across this great world."
"It is said that our great world was once the dwelling place of immortals and gods, but later, they all went beyond the heavens."
Qin Jun sneered; no wonder the ancient holy courts were destroyed—it turns out they usurped the homeland of the immortals and gods.
"Hmph, what do you mean ’their homeland’? Even immortals and gods were once mortals, they just lived earlier!" Ji Yongsheng couldn’t help jumping out to snort.
The victor is king, the defeated, a bandit!
In Qin Jun’s heart, disdainful, from the perspective of Emperor Di, there was no right or wrong—everything was just because Ji Yongsheng wasn’t strong enough, the ancient holy courts weren’t strong enough.
"Hmm, that’s a good point you have there, I am indeed not strong enough," Ji Yongsheng’s tone returned to calm.
Qin Jun couldn’t figure out his real thoughts, but he was too lazy to get into a verbal spat with him.
He asked the Black Butterfly Fairy, "Among the six temples and three lands, who is the strongest?"
Luo Shixin and Sun Wukong also listened curiously to what the Black Butterfly Fairy had to say.
"The Hall of Heavenly Destiny is the strongest among the six temples, with its hall master, the Emperor of Heavenly Destiny, being the most powerful in this world!" the Black Butterfly Fairy said solemnly, as if the names Hall of Heavenly Destiny and Emperor of Heavenly Destiny weighed heavily on her.
The Emperor of Heavenly Destiny?
Qin Jun raised an eyebrow; the title ’most powerful’ intrigued him, and since the other claimed to be an emperor, it seemed he would become a formidable enemy in the future.
Sun Wukong and Luo Shixin also remembered this name; naming oneself after destiny signified the arrogance of that person.
"Wait, didn’t you say that above the six temples and three lands is Heaven’s Chosen Mansion?" Qin Jun asked, puzzled.
"Heaven’s Chosen Mansion represents the will of the immortals and gods and does not participate in struggles," the Black Butterfly Fairy explained, pausing before continuing, "Perhaps in these days, you’ll see even higher skies."
Qin Jun sneered—your master is within my body, and you’re still playing tough with me.
However, the exchange with the Black Butterfly Fairy did let him know a lot of useful information.
Though the Great Qin Heavenly Court had defeated Divine Wuji, to reach the height of the six temples and three lands was still a long way off.
"Alright, the God Temple is right ahead!"
With a change of tone, the Black Butterfly Fairy made Qin Jun look forward.
Ahead there was still a sea of clouds, and the sky still appeared as if dusk was approaching; there was no shadow of any building to be seen.
Sun Wukong and Luo Shixin also looked confused, and even they, being in the Daluo Golden Immortal Realm, couldn’t sense the existence of the God Temple.
All of a sudden, the Black Butterfly Fairy spoke to the front in an extremely odd language, incomprehensible to Qin Jun and the others, even making them feel a bit dizzy.
Rumble and roar—
The sea of clouds suddenly churned, and the fog around Qin Jun and the others quickly dispersed. Looking down instinctively, Qin Jun saw the previously transparent glass-like restrictive layer begin to twist; the next second, Qin Jun and the others’ eyes widened.
Below appeared a colossal fortress, with a black statue resembling the Torch Dragon gazing up at them as if alive.
The whole fortress was inlaid with countless palaces on its surface. It was hard to imagine its vastness and who had built it.
"This is the God Temple!"
The Black Butterfly Fairy introduced, with a hint of pride in her tone—it was she who had founded the God Temple. Although Divine Wuji was the master, she was the driving force behind the scenes. The God Temple’s success today could do without Divine Wuji but not without her.
Of course, the God Temple was just a tool for her; she didn’t regard it as her life in the way Divine Wuji did.
Qin Jun narrowed his eyes. He could feel the restrictive layer below opening a hole, invisible but real.
The Black Butterfly Fairy leaped down; Qin Jun and the others followed closely behind.
They landed unobstructed in front of a large door. The Black Butterfly Fairy pushed the door and entered, revealing a broad, deep corridor. Suddenly, two rows of black-robed figures appeared inside, floating without feet like ghosts.
"Greetings to the Black Butterfly Fairy!"
The black-robed figures shouted in unison. The Black Butterfly Fairy seemed not to notice them and walked straight ahead, Qin Jun and the others following closely, Sun Wukong and Luo Shixin becoming alert.
Qin Jun could tell that the Black Butterfly Fairy had a high status—casually bringing people in without any guard daring to stop them.
The group of four continued down the corridor, turning left and right.
"When you meet Zun Rudao later, don’t bully him too much," the Black Butterfly Fairy suddenly said, cautioning Qin Jun, whose mouth twitched in response.
Bully him?
He’s a Daluo Golden Immortal, for heaven’s sake!
Moreover, just from the name Zun Rudao, it sounded very imposing—it’s more likely he would bully me!
Qin Jun felt wronged inside, but the Black Butterfly Fairy just shook her head and laughed, knowing his character well; with two peerless powerhouses by his side, he was surely fearless.
"Hmph, His Majesty is a Sacred Emperor—if he wants to bully someone, he’ll bully anyone!" Luo Shixin snorted, and Sun Wukong nodded in agreement.
Qin Jun smirked smugly.
The Black Butterfly Fairy was speechless, suddenly feeling that she had spoken out of turn.
Soon, they arrived at a grand hall that was dimly lit and absent of people.
Qin Jun raised an eyebrow and was about to ask if Zun Rudao stood him up when suddenly, he heard the sound of wind from behind his neck. Instinctively turning around, he saw a handsome man dressed in a majestic purple robe rushing towards him with a hint of ferocity in his eyes.
Bang—
Sun Wukong slammed his golden cudgel into the ground, causing the entire God Temple to tremble.
"Are you looking for death?" Sun Wukong asked with a violent face, turning the whole hall as cold as an ice cellar.
The Black Butterfly Fairy shouted sternly, "Rudao, stop this nonsense!"
Zun Rudao?
Qin Jun narrowed his eyes as he sized up the man before him with a tall stature, dressed in a purple robe adorned with dragon patterns, exuding the air of both a ruler and a strongman.
