The Strongest Mythical Emperor
Chapter 498: Bajie

Chapter 498: Chapter 498: Bajie

Zhu Bajie!

It’s like damn, but not just damn, it’s damn the pig!

To actually summon such a piece of work.

Qin Jun found it both funny and sad. He didn’t have much of a good impression of Zhu Bajie; the guy was lazy and gluttonous, and on top of that, lecherous. But he wasn’t entirely bad, since at least he knew how to acknowledge his mistakes and was good at kissing up and flattering.

Zhu Bajie’s strength shouldn’t be weak, otherwise why would Sun Wukong always call on him to exorcise demons?

He hoped Zhu Bajie wouldn’t drag him down.

"Bring up Zhu Bajie’s attribute list and take a look."

Qin Jun thought helplessly.

The moment he finished speaking, the attribute list for Zhu Bajie appeared before his eyes:

"Zhu Bajie, from Journey to the West."

"Status: Altar Messenger!"

"Cultivation: Early Scattered Immortal Realm!"

"Cultivation Method: Heavenly River Divine Mnemonic!"

"Divine Power: 36 Heavenly Transformations!"

"Treasure: Nine-Toothed Rake!"

"Devotion: 98 (Full Value 100)!"

Damn!

This is explosive!

Early Scattered Immortal Realm?

Qin Jun rubbed his eyes, as if he had seen wrong; it was then he noticed that Zhu Bajie’s status was that of an Altar Messenger.

It seemed that the Zhu Bajie he summoned was from after the journey to the West had ended, no wonder he was so formidable. The system was actually reliable, and his devotion even reached ninety-eight.

"Zhu Bajie, after obtaining the sutra, could possess a cultivation of the Scattered Immortal Realm?" Qin Jun couldn’t help but question it.

At this rate, will the Scattered Immortal Realm also become as common as cabbage in the future?

"You should know that Sun Wukong had the cultivation of the Scattered Immortal Realm after only studying martial arts for a decade or so, Zhu Bajie is actually quite weak," the system replied.

Qin Jun thought about it and felt that made sense; after all, they were a team that braved the journey to the Western Heavens together—everyone gets a lift.

Thinking this way, he felt that Sha Wujing was a bit pitiable; after obtaining the sutra, he was only at the Golden Immortal Realm. Well, at least there’s the little White Dragon at the very bottom.

Qin Jun started waiting for Zhu Bajie’s arrival, hoping that as an Altar Messenger, Zhu Bajie would be more serious and best if he could shed his old flaws.

At this moment, the howling of wolves from afar became more and more numerous, and the volume kept increasing too, indicating that those wolf demons were getting closer and closer to Qin Jun.

Qin Jun grit his teeth, wishing he could stand up, but he simply couldn’t move.

"No good, this will definitely be the end if it goes on," he thought, gritting his teeth. He could already sense the violent auras coming from a distance.

Wait a minute!

How could he almost forget about that thing!

Qin Jun quickly rummaged through the mythology space and pulled out a Concealment Charm. He had won this during the Hidden Dragon Martial Arts Competition’s lottery and never had the chance to use it.

The Concealment Charm could make him invisible and also hide his aura.

However, it could only last for the duration of an incense stick burning.

Qin Jun took a deep breath; he had to time it right, to not use it too soon.

Suddenly, a Grey Wolf leapt out from the distant woods. It stood two meters tall at the shoulder, with strong limbs, its fur like satin, shimmering darkly, particularly its wolf eyes, filled with cold murderous intent. Soon, several more Grey Wolves burst out from the woods. They stopped and sniffed around, seemingly searching for their prey.

Qin Jun then sensed the aura of cultivators.

Even though he was severely injured, he was still a cultivator in the third layer of the Earth Immortal Realm, with his Divine Consciousness capable of covering a wide area, able to perceive everything within several miles.

He looked over and saw to the east of where the Grey Wolves were, three cultivators in blue were running fast – two men and a woman, desperately heading in his direction.

Damn!

Qin Jun cursed silently, talk about bad luck!

The gray wolves also caught the scent of the three people and hurriedly chased after them, with even more wolves running out of the woods, a rough count put them at no less than a hundred.

These gray wolves had strong builds, like calves, and the sight of over a hundred gray wolves running together was terrifying.

One kilometer!

Eight hundred meters!

Seven hundred meters!

Qin Jun clenched his teeth and channeled the last of his mana into the Concealment Charm, and the next second, he vanished from his spot.

Invisibility successful.

Soon, the three cultivators arrived at the large tree where Qin Jun had been; the young woman among them stopped, panting, hands on knees, and cried out, "I can’t run anymore."

Leaning against the tree trunk, Qin Jun sized her up; her looks were average, above average perhaps, and her cultivation seemed to be around the fifth level of the Foundation Establishment. Her spiritual power was completely depleted.

Clearly, they had been chased by the wolf pack for a long time, and even from the bloodstains on their clothes, it was evident they had already been through a fierce battle.

The two young men seemed to be from the same sect, and the handsome one among them gritted his teeth and said, "We can’t stop now, these gray wolves are all peak second-order beasts!"

The other tall young man nodded, his body trembling with obvious fear, even the way he looked at his female companion was filled with anger.

Slowing them down at the critical moment.

"Damn, why don’t you two carry her and run instead of babbling on!"

Qin Jun was inwardly scornful. The gray wolves were getting closer and closer, but since he was invisible, he simply decided to be an audience to the scene.

Watching these Foundation Establishment cultivators trying to fend off second-order demon beasts, Qin Jun felt like he was back in the newbie village.

Once upon a time, the Foundation Establishment Realm was an insurmountable level in his eyes.

"Howl—"

The strong gray wolf running at the front suddenly leaped into the air, its front paws sharp beyond compare, and in the twilight, it launched itself over twenty meters, howling as it charged at the three cultivators.

The tall young man was so scared he turned and ran, to the handsome young man’s immense irritation.

The young woman hastily clung to the handsome young man’s thigh, weeping, "Junior Brother, don’t leave me behind!"

The handsome young man was torn, he quickly picked up the young woman and ran forward with gritted teeth, but sadly he was no match for the strong gray wolf, and it was likely they would be caught soon.

Qin Jun felt pity for them, but he certainly wasn’t going to jump out.

Even now, with the Heavenly Origin Pill inside him, he still needed time to recover; stepping out would be suicide.

One by one, the gray wolves ran past Qin Jun, with one even accidentally stepping on him.

"Damn it!"

Qin Jun yelped in pain, which caused several gray wolves to stop, but they didn’t catch his scent and soon continued the chase.

Only after they had all gone did Qin Jun hold onto his right foot, cursing incessantly.

These animals, don’t they watch where they are going?

Qin Jun was quite frustrated, realizing that in the future, he should hide while invisible because today his luck was exceptionally bad.

The sun quickly set behind the hills.

Darkness gradually fell.

Qin Jun, coming out of invisibility, had partly recovered from his injuries and could stand up at least. Although unable to exert his full strength, he was more than enough to handle third-order cultivators.

He glanced around then picked a random direction and started walking.

He definitely didn’t want to spend the night here.

A few steps out, a dark figure suddenly rose from the grass behind him. In an instant, Qin Jun felt a chill on his back and, startled, drew the Seven Star Sword and turned around.

There stood a shadowy figure behind him, burly like a fierce ghost.

Shit!

Was it a ghost?

Without another word, Qin Jun struck with his sword.

There was a smack!

The figure surprisingly caught the Seven Star Sword single-handedly, or rather, pinched the blade between two fingers.
