Chapter 300: Chapter 300 Design [3rd update]

"Agreed! We accept your terms!"

A Demon Cultivator from the Abyss Sect gritted his teeth. Seeing someone take the lead, the rest of the cultivators also breathed a sigh of relief.

No one wanted to die, especially since the creed of the Demonic Dao was self-preservation above all.

"When can we teleport?" Qin Jun asked, his impatience clear in his voice as he was eager to rescue the little Torch Dragon.

"The teleportation gate is not yet complete. It will take another day," the leading Demon Cultivator said through gritted teeth.

Qin Jun narrowed his eyes and said coldly, "Don’t even think about playing tricks, or I will make your life a living hell!"

"Yes..."

The Demon Cultivators from the Abyss Sect swiftly resumed their work on the teleportation gate, while Qin Jun walked over to a nearby table and chairs, followed closely by Yuan Hong and Lei Zhenzi.

High above in front of the stone door, the Ancient Lamp felt a storm surge in its heart. It hadn’t expected Qin Jun to actually want to venture to the headquarters of the Abyss Sect.

It seemed like a power struggle in the Demonic Dao was imminent!

"Well, it would be for the best if he and the Abyss Sect battled each other to mutual destruction!"

With this thought, the Ancient Lamp turned to leave, preparing to instruct the sect’s disciples to avoid entering the underground square, lest they become unintended casualties.

Today was doomed to be a day of restlessness for him.

...

When Liu Bowen and the others, along with a hundred thousand celestial soldiers and several dozen children from the Four Divine Sect, returned to Guarding Slaughter City, the whole city was in an uproar. Everyone who saw the celestial soldiers was filled with awe and admiration.

"Are those the celestial soldiers who destroyed the Four Divine Sect? How impressive!"

"Which one is Yuan Hong? I admire him so much!"

"Is a mere monkey demon worth your fawning over?"

"If you had even one-thousandth of his strength, I’d let you pluck me!"

"Why is Young Master Jun Qing nowhere to be seen?"

The cultivators buzzed with conversation. After a day of rumors spreading, the battle at the Four Divine Sect had become a hot topic of discussion for all the unaffiliated cultivators during their leisure time.

Back at the lord’s mansion, Liu Bowen went straight to You Fenghuang.

"Miss You, have you been able to purchase the teleportation gate?" Liu Bowen got straight to the point.

The teleportation gate was one of Qin Jun’s tasks for him, to establish a space teleportation link between the Great Qin Kingdom and Guarding Slaughter City as soon as possible. Only with more hands could they further expand their influence.

You Fenghuang guessed his intentions immediately and nodded, "There should be one at the auction house. I’ll have someone buy it in a bit."

"The higher the grade the better. Spiritual stones are not an issue," Liu Bowen reminded her. Of course, his attitude was not too presumptuous, as although You Fenghuang had not yet officially become Qin Jun’s consort, it was already a certainty.

You Fenghuang nodded and then asked, "Does he have any other requests?"

"No, His Majesty only asks that we accumulate strength and wait for his return before advancing and conquering more lands," Liu Bowen said with a smile, bowing slightly before turning to leave and no longer disturbing You Fenghuang’s reading.

You Fenghuang shook her head with a smile. Qin Jun was no longer the Young Master Jun of the royal capital but had become the formidable Qin Emperor, ruler in his own right.

...

A day passed quickly.

Qin Jun opened his eyes from his cultivation state and asked, "Has a day passed already?"

His tone was somewhat unfriendly, clearly showing his impatience.

Yuan Hong vanished in a shimmer and reappeared the very next second, dragging a Demon Cultivator stationed by the teleportation gate from several meters away.

"Is it ready?"

As Qin Jun cracked his neck, he asked, his gaze making the Demon Cultivator tremble as he responded, "Yes, the spirit stones are being installed now."

This response made Qin Jun’s eyes light up. Finally, it was ready!

The underground square was dimly lit, like a dungeon, and staying there was far from comfortable. He had long wanted to leave.

The Ancient Lamp too, really had no consideration!

Not even bothering to move a single bed down here!

Qin Jun complained inwardly, then walked toward the teleportation gate.

This gate, towering at five meters, was constructed from two mysterious iron columns. The Demon Cultivators were fitting the spirit stones into place, with only thirteen slots left.

Qin Jun noted the bizarre runes covering the columns, which were so complicated they made one’s head spin.

In truth, the teleportation gate was also a type of formation array. Without the array engraved into it, the mere combination of columns and spirit stones could never achieve spatial teleportation. The arrays pertaining to space were incredibly complex, and most array masters would spend their entire lives without understanding even a fraction of them. This also accounted for the rarity of such gates.

Soon, the spirit stones were installed, and a Demon Cultivator activated the teleportation gate. Between the two columns, a blue net appeared, as if laced with flowing lightning, magnificently dazzling.

In that moment, Lei Zhenzi suddenly made his move. Like a shadow, he moved rapidly behind each Demon Cultivator, striking them on the back, filling them with panic and fear.

"I’ve placed a prohibition on you. If it’s not removed within three days, you all will die! And only I can remove it," Lei Zhenzi said gravely, frightening the Demon Cultivators into kneeling down quickly. Qin Jun found this prohibition technique quite interesting; it was perfect for interrogation and prevention.

The Demon Cultivators were shivering on the ground, none daring to stand, signifying the teleportation gate was likely free of traps.

"Let’s go! We’re entering," Qin Jun ordered.

He summoned the Purple Gold Emperor Armor and the Silver Dragon Slayer Spear, prepared to fight immediately should the other side present danger.

"Your Majesty, we could go ahead while you stay behind," Yuan Hong suggested, stepping in front of Qin Jun. Qin Jun, however, waved his hand dismissively, prompting a resigned smile from Yuan Hong, who also felt a warm sentiment.

They had tried to persuade him more than once, but Qin Jun insisted on following. He even justified it by saying that since his beloved generals were in peril, he couldn’t sit back and wait for the outcome. They would either live together or die together.

And so, with Yuan Hong leading the way, Qin Jun in the middle, and Lei Zhenzi bringing up the rear, the three stepped into the teleportation gate.

After they disappeared, the Demon Cultivators slowly got to their feet.

"Is the teleportation destination set?" the leading Demon Cultivator asked his companions with a heavy voice.

"Confirmed. They’re sure to meet their ends in the location we chose," responded another Demon Cultivator, his teeth clenched.

They were not concerned about the prohibition Lei Zhenzi had placed on them; their initial fear had been feigned.

The ones dispatched to seek the Death Valley’s Demon Lord were actually death warriors cultivated by the Abyss Sect, devoted entirely to its cause.

"Hmph! Qin Emperor! Your biggest flaw is your arrogance!" the leading Demon Cultivator said coldly, his face twisting with madness.

If Qin Jun and the others were to die, they were more than willing to be buried alongside them.

Just then, the Ancient Lamp suddenly appeared in the center of the square. Startled, the Demon Cultivators instinctively reached for their magical instruments, but they relaxed upon seeing the Ancient Lamp. Just as the leading Demon Cultivator was about to speak, the Ancient Lamp’s eyes suddenly emitted an intimidating killing intent. With a thundering sound, a soul-shattering wave surged invisibly yet tangibly in all directions, sweeping over everyone and causing the pupils of the Abyss Sect’s Demon Cultivators to lose focus.

Their souls were dispersed by the Ancient Lamp in an instant, leaving them without the chance for reincarnation.

"I may not be able to defy the Nether King Palace, but do you think I can’t handle you, Abyss Sect?" the Ancient Lamp said with a cold smirk. As it struck out with its right palm, the teleportation gate was obliterated in a fierce blow. The wild wind generated by the destruction swept over the Ancient Lamp, whose expression turned extremely cold.

"Qin Jun, may you die in the Demonic Dao! Hahahaha—"

His crazed laugh echoed long after in the underground square. His shadow cast by the lamplight on the wall stretched out, morphed, and resembled that of a demon.
