Chapter 1547: Chapter 1547: The Demon Lord Attacks [4th Update]
"I can make you stronger by countless times in an instant. Are you willing?"
Qin Jun said enticingly. At their current stage, Ran Min’s strength had indeed become somewhat of a burden.
Besides, he still had two Extreme Awakening opportunities and two Loyal Awakening opportunities left!
"Of course, I’m willing!"
Ran Min seemed to realize Qin Jun wasn’t joking with him.
Could it be that slow-time miniature cosmos again?
At that thought, Ran Min felt a bit bitter. For someone with his fiery personality, being solitary for tens of thousands of years, or even longer, was a torture worse than death by a thousand cuts.
"Initiate Ran Min’s Extreme Awakening!"
Qin Jun commanded in his mind. With the Gray Domination Black Tiger bloodline, what heights could Ran Min achieve after an Extreme Awakening?
Over more than three years, Qin Jun had bestowed upon him countless heavenly treasures that could enhance his bloodline.
As his voice fell, a black hole emerged above Qin Jun’s head and swiftly sucked Ran Min inside.
Nuwa froze for a moment and asked, "Your Majesty, what just happened?"
"I made him stronger, but this Divine Power is extremely taxing. Next time, I’ll help you,"
Qin Jun said to her with a gentle smile. Nuwa’s loyalty had already surpassed ninety-five; sooner or later, he would let her undergo an Extreme Awakening as well.
Hearing this, Nuwa couldn’t help but look forward to it.
The ten seconds passed in a flash.
"Ding! Ran Min’s Extreme Awakening has succeeded!"
The system notification sounded, and Qin Jun immediately instructed, "Show me Ran Min’s attributes!"
"Ran Min, originating from folklore!"
"Identity: Gray Domination Black Tiger! Martial Energy King!"
"Cultivation: Early stage of the Primordial Great Detachment Realm!"
"Cultivation Method: Innate Breathing Technique!"
"Divine Powers: True Body of Black Tiger! Gray Domination Iron Arms!"
"Treasure: Underworld Iron Spear!"
"Loyalty: 98 (Maximum value: 100)!"
Primordial Great Detachment Realm, early stage!
How overpowering!
Qin Jun raised an eyebrow. Even Confucius’s cultivation was only at the late stage of the Primordial Great Detachment Realm, but from what Qin Jun had heard along the way, Confucianism seemed to hold a high status, enough to indicate that the Primordial Great Detachment Realm was among the top tiers even within the depths of the Ancient Sacred Emperor Dao.
Although Ran Min’s loyalty had dropped by two points, it wasn’t a major issue.
At this moment, the familiar black hole reappeared above him, and shortly after, Ran Min stepped out slowly.
His tattered, bloodstained clothes lightly quivered, his build as imposing as a feral beast. His aura was even more ferocious, exuding an overwhelming dominance that declared supremacy.
With a sharp sound!
Ran Min landed in front of Qin Jun and Nuwa, suppressing his excitement as he knelt before Qin Jun, saying, "Thank you, Your Majesty, for your grace in granting me a second life!"
After reaching the Primordial Great Detachment Realm, he now realized how weak his former self had been.
Thus, his loyalty to Qin Jun did not diminish substantially; instead, Qin Jun became even more enigmatic and unfathomable in his eyes.
To create a Primordial Great Detachment expert with a flip of his palm—it was hard to imagine the extent of Qin Jun’s omnipotence.
"Very good!" Qin Jun said with a satisfied smile.
Nuwa then asked, "What is your realm now?"
"Primordial Great Detachment," Ran Min replied with a chuckle, leaving Nuwa bewildered.
What was the Primordial Great Detachment?
Ran Min immediately offered an explanation. After understanding it, Nuwa was deeply moved, looking incredulously at Qin Jun.
"Don’t look at me like that. Next time, I’ll help you too," Qin Jun waved dismissively.
He then turned to Ran Min and asked, "Can you activate your magical energy?"
He wanted to see to what extent the "Road of Ten Thousand Slaughters" could suppress magical energy.
"I can. I can feel the Road of Slaughter’s repulsion. Once I display power that exceeds the limits of the Great Dao, I will be expelled,"
Ran Min nodded. Qin Jun smiled faintly as he heard this.
It seemed the power of the Road of Slaughter did not vastly exceed the Primordial Great Detachment. Even if restricted to no more than the Primordial Fusion Realm, Ran Min should still be able to clear up to the ten-thousandth checkpoint.
After resting for about the time it takes to burn an incense stick, the trio continued forward.
With Ran Min’s newfound leap in power, the team’s progress significantly accelerated.
...
At the 8,516th checkpoint of the Road of Ten Thousand Slaughters!
"Don’t kill us... we’re members of the Golden Sway Divine Sect..."
A man, reduced to only his upper body, struggled on the ground while screaming in terror. His bloodshot eyes were filled with fear as cold sweat covered him.
On the hillside, dozens of corpses lay scattered, none intact. Blood soaked the ground, making the night even more ominous and horrifying.
Standing before the man was none other than the Liwu Demon Venerable.
Compared to two years prior, the state of the Liwu Demon Venerable seemed notably off. His overwhelming killing intent had condensed into a bloody wind swirling around him.
His eyes were now fully blood-red, piercing to the soul.
"It doesn’t matter which sect or faction you come from. Crossing paths with me means your qi movement is ill-fated,"
the Liwu Demon Venerable said softly, looking down at him. Then, with a single stomp, the entire small hill collapsed with a thunderous boom. Dust surged, veiling the skies alongside the dense fog.
Billowing clouds of dust continued to rise endlessly.
Strolling forward, the Liwu Demon Venerable’s fur bristled like blazing flames, exuding a violent aura. Each step he took caused cracks to web across the ground.
"What demonic disciple dares to slaughter the disciples of my Golden Sway Divine Sect so wantonly?"
At that moment, a booming roar resounded through the heavens and the earth, causing the trees in the dark night to sway like a tide.
The Liwu Demon Venerable remained unmoving, murmuring, "I’m not targeting your Golden Sway Divine Sect—my target is all living beings."
A spectral figure appeared, blocking the Liwu Demon Venerable’s path, gazing down on him as it shouted, "So, you’re the vile heretic?"
"Begone!"
The Liwu Demon Venerable thundered with murderous energy, his voice icy cold.
The specter was an elderly man. Though aged, his bones were solid, and his long eyebrows curved like scimitars, emanating overbearing might.
"Boy, you court death!"
The old man barked, his eyes blazing with anger. Anyone who dared speak to him in such a manner was bound to perish.
"You are but an avatar, yet you dare block my way?"
The Liwu Demon Venerable roared and punched through the air, shattering the avatar.
The forest trembled with the Demon Venerable’s fury, an unparalleled terror.
After destroying the avatar, the Liwu Demon Venerable continued forward, adhering to his usual ways: killing every being at each checkpoint before moving on, showing no concern for those attempting the trial later.
The number of lives he had taken wasn’t far behind Qin Jun’s, showing faint signs of madness.
...
Another five years passed.
Qin Jun and the other two finally reached the 9,987th checkpoint, drawing closer to the ten-thousandth milestone.
The three of them traversed the desolate plains, with Xuanyuan Wuji and his group following behind at a respectful distance.
They had encountered each other three years earlier, and Qin Jun tacitly allowed them to follow, considering they were disciples of the Heavenly Emperor Academy and hence his juniors.
"Stay close, everyone. This place is extremely dangerous!"
"That was the Wují Supreme Great Emperor earlier, yet someone smashed him to death with a single spear!"
"Shh, lower your voice! He’s already doing us a great favor by allowing us to follow."
"That’s right. Otherwise, with our strength, we wouldn’t have made it this far."
The disciples of the Heavenly Emperor Academy whispered amongst themselves. By now, only a little over twenty of them remained, showcasing just how brutal the Road of Ten Thousand Slaughters truly was.
Some had chosen to stay back at previous checkpoints, hoping to sharpen their strength through combat.
Unfortunately, those left behind had no idea a certain god of slaughter was purging the checkpoints behind them.
"Wait, Your Majesty, there’s an intense killing aura headed our way!"
Ran Min suddenly spoke. Qin Jun and Nuwa stopped immediately, all three of them turning to look. At the far edge of the plains, carried on a bloody gale, a figure could be seen sprinting their way from dozens of miles away.
It was none other than the Liwu Demon Venerable!
