The Strongest Mythical Emperor -
Chapter 105: Cute Killer
Chapter 105: Chapter 105: Cute Killer
Time flew, and three days hurried by.
Qin Jun and his companions faced little trouble, but Qin Jun’s name as the Little Overlord had thoroughly become famous throughout the Canglan Kingdom.
All the cities in the Canglan Kingdom were discussing Qin Jun, and the movements of Qin Jun’s group were constantly monitored by all the forces in the kingdom.
The news was even spreading to the Qianyue Kingdom.
"Good gracious, the top ranker on the humanity list actually has the cultivation of the Transforming Void Realm, and he’s only in his forties."
Inside the carriage, Qin Jun exclaimed with a roster in hand, which turned out to be the humanity ranking roster, with a thousand pages, detailing the combat achievements of each listed contender.
Qin Jun, ranked nine hundred and seventy-three, the Third Prince of Qianyue Kingdom, once defeated the genius Zhuo Junjie from the previous human rankings, only sixteen years old, with strength roughly at the peak of the Foundation Establishment Realm.
A few brief lines, yet they held profound significance.
The Southern Domain was so vast, with hundreds of kingdoms alone, and for Qin Jun to rank among the top thousand of the younger generation was quite an accomplishment.
Inside the top nine hundred, all were Golden Elixir Realm powerhouses, with the top three hundred having broken through to the Ascending Mortal Realm, and the top ten had already broken through to the Transforming Void Realm. Compared to them, the geniuses within the Qianyue Kingdom were practically mediocre.
"It is said that above the human rankings are the earth and heaven rankings, but those aren’t widely sold and are only available to cultivators of certain status." Daji said with a sigh, "The Human Clan indeed has more talent than the Demon Clan, but within the same realm, the Demon Clan is stronger."
"Pfft! I broke through to the Transforming Void Realm in less than a decade of cultivation; these so-called geniuses are nothing." Li gloated, causing Qin Jun’s mouth to twitch. Big sister, you’ve stepped on me in passing!
Daji rolled her eyes, "If it weren’t for your dragon lineage, you probably wouldn’t even have broken through the Golden Elixir Realm by now."
Envy was clear in her voice for anyone to hear.
From ancient times to the present, the Dragon Clan had always been a major force, with neither the Human nor Demon Clans daring to offend them easily.
"Hah, you’re from the Heavenly Fox Clan yourself!" said Li, holding her chin up proudly in retaliation.
The two women attacked each other verbally, but both were actually praising the other’s lineage, which left Qin Jun feeling wounded. Hey hey hey, be mindful; there’s a Golden Elixir Realm nobody sandwiched between you!
Forget it!
Qin Jun had no choice but to ignore Daji and Li’s ongoing bickering and continued to browse the humanity ranking roster.
In the three days, whenever he was free, he’d flip through the roster, and his knowledge of the geniuses from the Southern Domain had become much clearer. He remembered two names in particular.
One was Jin Wuhui, the top genius on the humanity list.
The other was Su Liejie, the only genius from the Canglan Kingdom to have made it onto the humanity list. It was said that he had just broken through to the Golden Elixir Realm not long ago, surpassing Zhuo Junjie and ranking at nine hundred and twenty-one.
If he wanted to complete the Canglan Kingdom’s Genius Nightmare mission, he would inevitably have to confront Su Liejie.
"Having slain a newly advanced Golden Elixir Realm powerhouse while at the pinnacle of Foundation Establishment shows this guy’s combat skills are strong." Qin Jun contemplated, and although he couldn’t be compared to the freaks in the top nine hundred, he knew this was a formidable opponent for himself.
Just then, the carriage suddenly stopped.
The voice of the captain of the guard rose, "Who goes there? Clear the way!"
"Hmph, is Qin Jun among your ranks?"
A commanding shout came from ahead, exuding an oppressive aura that caused Qin Jun’s face to shift slightly. He immediately stood up and exited the carriage.
The current Qin Jun lacked combat experience and had no reason to shy away from battle, especially with so many strong warriors protecting him. What was there to fear?
Upon drawing back the carriage curtain, Qin Jun realized they had arrived in a valley. The valley was ten meters wide and about fifty meters high, with wild grass crisscrossing the bottom, interspersed with puddles of water, and dark clouds gathering above, hinting at an impending torrential downpour.
At the front, a line of mysterious men in black armor blocked the way, led by a burly man about two meters tall, holding two iron whips, with a physique like a tiger’s back and a bear’s waist, and his eyes brimming with intense murderous intent.
His cultivation had reached the Golden Elixir Realm, and the more than twenty subordinates behind him were all above the fifth layer of the Foundation Establishment Realm, seething with killing intent that almost solidified the air around them.
"Hand over Qin Jun, and the rest of you will be spared!"
The booming voice of the iron whip wielder made the horses neigh in alarm.
"Who sent you? Emperor Canglan?" Jia Xun stepped out from the carriage and asked sternly. Joking aside, with super-powerful beings like Evening Star and Fa Hai present, he couldn’t possibly be afraid.
The iron whip wielder stepped towards the group, with his armored followers close behind. As he advanced, he spoke menacingly, "Emperor Canglan can’t command me. Blame it on the fact that Qin Jun is wanted with a bounty!"
A bounty?
Qin Jun’s expression shifted, and Jia Xun quickly caught on. He hastily spoke up, "Qin Yu has died, you should give up the mission from Black Night Pavilion by now!"
Upon hearing this, the iron whip wielder indeed halted, his frown scanning the group as though searching for Qin Yu.
"Stop looking, I killed Qin Yu and dumped his body in the wild," Qin Jun declared as he stepped to the front of the group, his eyes mockingly sizing up the iron whip wielder. The man’s aura of ruthlessness was heavy, comparable to that of Xiahou En from the Qianyue Kingdom.
Just then, a figure leaped down from the top of the valley. Dressed in black with an Asian conical hat on his head, he was like a shadow.
"An Xiao!"
King Blood Sabre exclaimed in surprise, causing Qin Jun to frown and look back at Fa Hai and Roaring Sky Dog. Fa Hai remained still and uncaring, while Roaring Sky Dog seemed to have an endless need for sleep, lying still on the steps.
They were not surprised by An Xiao’s appearance; it appeared they had already detected An Xiao’s lurking presence and simply didn’t consider him a threat.
An Xiao landed in front of the iron whip wielder and turned to face King Blood Sabre, asking in a deep voice, "Is Qin Yu truly dead?"
He had been puzzled as to why he could not contact Qin Yu and why there had been no information about him.
After all, Qin Yu had only paid half of the spirit stones, and if he was dead, An Xiao wouldn’t be able to get the remaining payment even after killing Qin Jun.
"Indeed, Qin Yu repeatedly used tricks against His Highness King Yue and has been executed. I hope you won’t persist, or it won’t bode well for you either," King Blood Sabre said with a guarded expression. An Xiao was an assassin and could strike at any moment.
After these words, An Xiao fell silent, and the iron whip wielder did not disturb him, simply waiting patiently.
"Regardless, I, An Xiao, have accepted this mission and must complete it. Otherwise, it won’t look good," An Xiao spoke decisively, prompting Qin Jun to roll his eyes.
Brother, you’re courting death. Do you realize that?
The others were speechless, including King Blood Sabre and Ye Xuan’s party of five. After witnessing Fa Hai and Evening Star in action, they didn’t believe this group of assassins could take down Qin Jun.
When everyone fell silent, An Xiao mistook their silence for fear and reassured them, "Don’t worry, as long as you do not resist, I’ll kill Qin Jun and leave."
Snort!
What’s with this tone of an adult comforting a child?
Qin Jun’s mouth twitched, and Daji, who had just stepped out of the carriage, couldn’t help but laugh.
This assassin is kind of cute!
