Chapter 26 Fang Qingxue! This Demon Emperor’s Heir Is No Ordinary Man!
A dazzling streak of light flashed swiftly across the sky. Fang Yuhan watched the scene unfold with a sneer on his face.
“Hmph, just a mere Demon Emperor’s heir. So what? One day, I’ll become an Emperor myself…”
“When that time comes, even these so-called heirs will kneel before me!”
He was brimming with arrogance and self-confidence.
In the past, Fang Yuhan never would’ve dared to harbor such thoughts. But ever since he personally witnessed the terrifying power of his secret treasure—the Netherworld Map—he had become filled with boundless confidence in his own potential. Given enough time, his accomplishments would surely be beyond measure!
Before long, a graceful figure floated in from afar. It was a breathtakingly beautiful woman with a heroic bearing. She wore a clean-cut martial outfit that accentuated her tall, lithe figure. Her face was stunning—every feature exquisitely sculpted, radiating an icy allure.
Her black hair was tied up, her brows arched like distant mountains, and her skin was pale as snow. Even the sharp, intimidating sword aura around her added a valiant charm that made her hard to look away from.
“Miss!”
Fang Yuhan quickly stepped forward. When he looked at the girl, a hint of infatuation flickered in his eyes. This woman was none other than Fang Qingxue, a core disciple of the Yuhua Immortal Sect, and the very person who had helped Fang Yuhan rise from obscurity within his clan.
“Mm.”
Fang Qingxue gave him a quick glance and nodded slightly. This servant’s rapid progress had left her satisfied. Though he wasn’t of the Fang bloodline, he was at least nominally a servant of the Fang clan. That barely counted as being part of the family—and might help the clan’s future development.
“There was word that core disciples would pay respects to the Demon Emperor’s heir. Why didn’t you go, Miss?” Fang Yuhan asked.
Fang Qingxue sighed.
“It’s not so easy to get close to the Emperor’s heir…”
“I went, but the heir was surrounded by the sect master and elders, being carefully attended to. Ordinary disciples had no chance of getting near.”
There was a trace of regret in her tone. After all, this was the heir of the Wuji Demon Palace. Countless people dreamed of just catching a glimpse.
“What’s there to see? Just another arrogant brat flaunting his family’s power.”
Fang Yuhan said with disdain.
“Mind your words.”
“Remember this: that Demon Emperor’s heir is nothing like those spoiled scions you speak of.”
Fang Qingxue frowned and warned him.
Hearing his lady defend that arrogant heir stirred a bit of jealousy in Fang Yuhan’s heart.
“Tomorrow is the sect tournament. How’s your preparation?”
“Confident enough to challenge for an inner disciple position?” Fang Qingxue asked.
“Forget inner disciple—I’ll go straight for core disciple! Don’t worry, Miss, tomorrow I’ll definitely claim a spot among the elites!”
Fang Yuhan said with fiery determination.
Hearing this, Fang Qingxue simply nodded and turned to leave. Fang Yuhan stood watching her graceful figure fade into the distance, reluctant to part.
“No way!”
“I must train even harder… and fully refine the Netherworld Map…”
“By then, what Demon Emperor’s heir, what Demon Realm—they’ll all be beneath my feet!”
“And Fang Qingxue—she’ll be mine eventually!”
Fang Yuhan clenched his fists, his face burning with ambition.

Meanwhile, in the main hall, Su Ming sipped his tea, the fragrance lingering on his lips and tongue.
“The Demon Emperor’s heir visiting our Yuhua Immortal Sect is truly a tremendous honor for all of us,” said Sect Master Yuhua Daoren respectfully.
Yuhua Daoren was himself a powerful figure in the Nirvana Realm, rivaling the masters of many sacred lands. Unfortunately, he was the only Nirvana Realm expert in the Yuhua Sect. Worse yet, he was aging, his vitality waning.
As a result, the Yuhua Immortal Sect’s standing wasn’t very high.
“Sect Master flatters me,” Su Ming replied casually.
“I’m merely wandering to relax. I just happened to pass by your sect’s entrance.”
“I see.”
Relieved to hear Su Ming held no ill intent, Yuhua Daoren secretly let out a sigh of relief. When he had welcomed Su Ming’s demon qilin-drawn carriage earlier, his heart had been filled with anxiety.
After all, this man had casually wiped out the Xuan Yin Holy Sect just moments ago. He feared even the slightest offense from the Yuhua Sect could bring disaster.
Now, seeing Su Ming’s relaxed attitude, Yuhua Daoren began to feel hopeful. If this Demon Emperor’s heir had no hostile intentions, perhaps the Yuhua Sect could grasp a rare opportunity.
The power of the Wuji Demon Palace was beyond question. The Yuhua Sect, though somewhat well-known in the region, was utterly insignificant compared to the eternal clans and ancient holy lands of the outer realms.
As long as Yuhua Daoren lived, he could hold the sect together. But if he were to fall one day, the sect could be swallowed up in the blink of an eye.
He had long been troubled by the lack of allies to turn to. But now… wasn’t this the perfect chance?
Yuhua Daoren began to fawn over Su Ming with increasing enthusiasm. Even the smallest shred of favor from the heir could mean everything. Su Ming, however, was lost in thought.
Although he now knew the name of the child of fate, how to meet him was still unclear.
“With Ye Chen, I already had a grudge, so going to Cangyun Dao Sect to ask about him wasn’t suspicious.”
But now, I still know nothing about this Fang Yuhan. How do I draw him out? He pondered silently.
Just then, Yuhua Daoren interrupted.
“Does the heir have any free time in the next few days?”
“Tomorrow is our Yuhua Sect’s tournament—many disciples will showcase their skills.”
“Of course, to someone like you, such struggles are trivial.”
“But if you’re interested, perhaps you could come and enjoy the spectacle.”
His tone was humble to the extreme, full of reverence.
A sect tournament?
Su Ming’s eyes lit up.
Exactly what he needed.
“Very well.”
He nodded.
Yuhua Daoren’s face lit up with joy.
The opportunity had arrived!
Though the Yuhua Sect couldn’t compare to sacred lands, perhaps one of their people could catch the heir’s eye. If someone were chosen to serve at his side, wouldn’t that forge a connection between the sect and the Demon Emperor’s heir?
Yuhua Daoren cast a careful glance at Qin Yingluo, who stood behind Su Ming. This Saintess of Cangyun truly lived up to her reputation. She was like a lotus rising from clear water—pure, elegant, and extraordinarily beautiful.
The tale of how the Cangyun Dao Sect survived wasn’t exactly a secret.
Had they not offered up the Saintess, how could they have escaped destruction?
If the Cangyun Dao Sect could do it…
Why couldn’t the Yuhua Sect do the same?
