Chapter 88: About The Divorce

Liam smiled not answering him. "I’ll go check on her..." He pointed at Rory’s room. "Inform me if they’ve got news about the creature... And sorry for losing your truck."

"Buy me a new one, millionaire CEO!" Frank winked.

"Ah... I’m sure the insurance would cover it, DAD!" Liam chuckled.

Frank laughed holding his stomach but then he turned serious looking at Liam. He didn’t know what happened in the forest.

When Liam left the house, he was fuming with rage. He almost hurt Rory even. But that girl had turned him mellow like this.

"She’s a good woman. Never even think about losing her," Frank patted Liam’s shoulder.

"That’s the plan," Liam said with a nod.

Mrs. Delport’s word echoed in his mind again.

The same way his mother ended up...

After knowing the whole story, he couldn’t imagine Rory in the place of his mother. And he did think about Rory’s fear of the dark and shadows, especially night terrors.

What does Mrs. Delport know? And how much does Agnes Robert know?

"William," Frank stopped Liam by holding his arm. "Agnes Roberts... Be a little wary of her. Has Rory received the balance settlements from her? He asked.

" I...don’t think so..." Liam furrowed his brows. He decided to confirm it with Rory. His doubts about Rory’s family are now being confirmed by his father too.

"She knows a lot more than she shows... She even knew about your plans of divorce and... It was a bit odd that Ian Campbell visited here for the first time after knowing you are divorced. Ask Rory to be a little careful, yeah?" Frank added.

Liam nodded and turned to leave.

"Wait!" Frank passed him the bag. "Your grandma asked me to deliver this for Rory and you. It’s chicken soup, I guess."

"Thanks, Dad," Liam walked back after getting the bag.

The sound of the door opening helped Rory wake up. Patting her chest, she looked around. Ellie was sleeping beside her and the windows were open.

We’re on the third floor... No one can jump in through the window.

She told herself to compose herself.

"Cherry!" Liam threw the bag on the table and ran to her. "You are pale. What happened?" He held her cheeks.

"Why are you late? Where did you go? The phone call...What did you talk about?" Rory stacked her questions.

"Was it the nightmare? Are you scared, Cherry? " Liam rubbed her arms to warm her. She looked pale and she was cold.

"Are we still divorcing?" She asked holding his hand. Her head hurt like it was being split and she wanted answers.

"Oh, Cherry... How many times have I told you?" He wrapped his arms around her shoulders and hugged her. "Don’t you cry for me..."

He patted her back.

"But..." Rory sniffed. She didnt even realize that she was crying.

"I told my lawyer that my wife does not want the divorce. I also told him that..." He held her cheeks and kissed her forehead.

"What?" Rory asked.

"That I am going to listen to my wife in the future..." He said with a smile.

"Really? You’ll listen to me? Then call him right this instant and tell him that you don’t want the divorce!" Rory pulled out his phone from his shirt pocket.

"Here..." She put the call on speaker. Liam with a smile got his phone and ended the call.

"Already told him!" He shrugged.

"Really?" Rory asked, her eyes wide with astonishment.

"Yes. I know that’s what you want." He kissed her cheek and rested on her shoulder. He wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her closer.

Rory was too shocked to say anything. She expected he might call off the divorce. She expected he would call off the divorce. But hearing him say it made her feel exhilarated.

But still... She could not believe it.

"What about you?" She asked, "Do you feel sorry for me?"

The last thing she would need is him doing it for her sake going against his wishes.

She does not want his pity.

Liam looked at her. She’s gained a lot of color on her face now. She looked ruddy.

Ah, she’s in pain. How can I assure her?

He pulled her closer to his chest and pressed his lips to hers. Her heart was pounding and as he kissed her his heart started to pound too.

He pushed her onto the bed.

"Cherry," he whispered in her ear. "I love you."

He kissed her once more.

"I love you. I cannot live without you..."

His tongue slipped inside her oral cavity and she let him.

"Fizzy..." Rory whispered. "I love you. I can’t live without you too."

His intense sapphire eyes looked at her as if he wanted to devour her. The tip of his nose and his lios were red with the kiss they shared.

"Do you want me, Cherry?" He whispered in her ear. His tone was more of a pleading as if he wanted her permission.

"Yes, as always..." She kissed him.

His kisses intensified and his hand went up inside the hospital gown. He gently caressed her abdomen as he peppered kisses on her cheeks to reach her earlobe.

Rory tried not to moan minding the place they are at. They are in the local hospital and the doors are known to be not soundproof. Not to mention the reputation they have in this town...

But Liam looked like he didn’t care about any of that. He was solely immersed in making her scream. And after the distance they kept for almost a year, Rory wanted to scream under him too.

Not now...not in here...

Rory whimpered as his hand traveled south when she expected them to go north of her abdomen. His fingers slithered down between her legs.

"The baby..." She whispered.

Liam, with his jaws clenched as if he was holding himself back, looked at her.

"Mmph..." Rory moaned as he lifted her from the bed as kissed her again.

He carried her to the other bed in the room.

"Did you lock it?" She asked as his hot kisses concentrated on her neck. Her toes curled and she stifled her moan when his fingers slipped inside her panty.

"FIZZY!" She hissed. But he was not stopping.

She looked at the door and through the frosted glass, she saw movements in the hallway.

"Fiz~"

His lips covered her lips at the same time his finger glided over her sensitive nub.

Rory sank her head inside the soft pillow.
