Chapter 67: Chapter 067: Forever Irreplaceable

Lu Jinghan rubbed his temples, walked over to sit beside Han Xi, gently cupping her small face in his palm, forcing her to meet his gaze: "Don’t believe a word Lin Weiyang says."

Han Xi looked at him, puzzled about how he knew Lin Weiyang had approached her.

"After I found out the package was sent by Lin Weiyang, I warned her that if she dared to mess with you again, I would make her regret it deeply. I didn’t deal with her this time for the sake of Auntie, as Lin Weiyang’s mother died in a car accident while saving my parents."

"So, your place in my heart is by no means unimportant. Quite the opposite, it is irreplaceable forever. I’m not with you out of loneliness, and most importantly, I have never been involved with any other woman."

Han Xi lowered her head, her delicate hand pushing away his, as a pitifully small voice slipped from her throat: "Mm, I understand."

Lu Jinghan’s long, slender fingers lifted Han Xi’s chin, his eyes as deep as the ocean fixed intently on her: "To even say you want to break up with me, you’re really something, woman."

"I didn’t..." Han Xi realized she couldn’t even find a reason to argue, especially since she had just mentioned the word breakup.

"Your two good friends just came to me, sarcastically throwing words at me, even saying that you’ve decided to break up with me. My heart hurt so much at that moment."

At this point, Han Xi wanted to disappear. She bit her lip like a child who had done something wrong, her moist eyes looking pitifully at Lu Jinghan.

"Do you still want to break up with me?" Lu Jinghan’s nonchalant voice carried an assertive momentum.

Han Xi shook her little head like a rattle-drum: "No breakup, never breaking up again."

How could she bear to part now? He had said so much just now, each sentence was an explanation, and each was a promise to her.

"Let’s go home now," Lu Jinghan said, intertwining his fingers tightly with Han Xi’s hand, standing up from the sofa, and striding toward the door.

Han Xi leaned against his shoulder, her previously gloomy mood had long dissipated, and the smile at the corner of her mouth was sweeter than candied fruit.

Outside the villa, Lu Jinghan placed Han Xi in the passenger seat, leaned over to fasten her seatbelt, walked around the front of the car, got into the driver’s seat, and drove off swiftly.
