Zhu Kang silently followed Aaron over to the training room. it was the usual room, the one with an obnoxious number of mirrors. It genuinely felt like that room was used for some other purpose.

Every time he stepped I this room he felt stiff and uncomfortable to be honest. that too combined with mister Aaron’s cold stare. it all felt weird

"We will be training your ability today," Aaron said calmly and walked over to one of the mirrors. He pressed some buttons on it and a table and a few chairs came out from the floor.

’ohh fancy...’ Kang sat on one of them.

"Do you know how to use your powers? Or do you have any control over it?" Aaron asked in a straightforward manner.

He shook his head no, "I don’t know how to use it,"

His ability is something he had no time exploring. back when the snakehead invaded the academy he was in a desperate state and somehow, he got to use his ability and he fell unconscious right after. Even to this day, he did not know what his so-called ability is.

’I assume its fire. I’m a dragon... so it’s going to be fire.’

He had seen the state of the training room the next day. It did look like it was burned badly.

"Okay then, we will review your fight with the snakehead member and analyze your powers first. Then we can work out a training program," he said and sat down on the chair next to him.

He was close. Their thighs touched.

Kang subtly moved away. ’What is Aaron getting at. He is clingy and he... he was acting like a jealous boyfriend when Altren was taking me out on a stroll.... Did he fall for me? I am handsome and cute... maybe he did. Who knows? I don’t want anything to do with him or any of the heroes.’

"Kang?" Aaron waved his hand in front of his face. "Are you listening?"

"Huh I am...’ he nodded. ’I was not...’ he blankly looked at the mirror which was displaying a paused video. ’ah it’s me! It’s that guy....’ His eyes focused more on the guy who was carrying Lia behind him. fire arose in his heart.

"Kang!" Aaron’s shout brought him out of that dazed state.

"What?" he confusedly looked at him. ’Why are you shouting ah? You just have to call out my name normally..."

Aron wordlessly gestured to the table in front of them.

The place where he had kept his hand was now a deformed mess. There was a gaping hole there as if someone has melted it with acid.

"I did that?!"

"Yes, you did.... This is why you need to learn to control your ability. Please pay attention to the video." He started it again.

This item Kang carefully looked at the fight. The guy was too strong for him and he looked like he was struggling. All of a sudden, he noticed that parts of his arm were covered in blue scales..

Aaron paused. "Your body morphs into a half-human state before you use your ability. The same happened today," he pulled down his sleeves and gestured to the blue scales that were disappearing.

Kang hurriedly covered up his arm.

"its nothing to be scared or ashamed about. Your scales have been tested in the academy. they seem to have a very strong mutation of keratin component, which means it can act as a shield. It can potentially be bulletproof too, but it’s not a tested theory." Aaron peered into his eyes. "Your scales are awesome." He said with a smirk.

Kang felt a weird heat arise in his body. His legs were tingling and his face was uncomfortably hot. ’uh ho... I think I know what this is..’ he subtly rolled his chair away and to the opposite of the table.

Aaron looked at him with his brows raised.

"hahha I just didn’t want to melt you too," he said with a weird laugh. Even too I’m that reasoning sounded awkward and fake. ’Gods have mercy... why is this Aaron guy getting horny when we are watching a fight Ah! It’s a fight! Not a porno!’

He uncomfortably adjusted his hard-on in his pants.

Kang watched himself transform into a half-beast sort of way. His whole body was glowing bright blue and a weird type of flame arose from his hands. The snakehead member was instantly turned into melted mush.

"What the fuck!" he shot up gasping. "h-he.... He melted... he melted! Oh my god.. what the hell is this...."

"Kang calm down and sit down," Aaron calmly said but Kang could not calm down at all/

To think that he was capable of literally melting someone with his flames was not an easy thing to digest. ’I’m a monster! Shift... I can’t believe I did that! I literally melted him!’

"Kang!" Aaron held his shoulders and made him sit down on the chair. "Look at me,"

Panting, he glanced up at his stunning blue eyes. They resembled the calming ocean...

"Take a deep breath,"

He took a deep breath.

"Now let it out. Follow my breathing," he lifted Kang’s hand and placed it on his chest.

Kang felt his chest move up and down. Subconsciously, he followed his breathing and soon he felt his whole body calm down from that stiff state.

"Are you okay now?"

"I think so.." his sight was blurry. Obviously, he had a panic attack just now.

"shh it’s okay." Aaron gently caressed the top of his head. "it’s okay..."

Kang shook his head. "its not.. I literally melted someone alive. I... my abilities are very dangerous. Its... that of a monster."

Aaron sat down on the chair next to him and gently held his hand. "you are not a monster, you are Kang. Your powers are not dangerous, Kang. They are powerful that’s all. You just need to lean to harness it."

"Why, so that I can melt peoples off?" he said snarkily.

"So that you can save lives with it," Aaron stood up and pulled him out of his seat. "I can only prove it to you with an example. Come on," he pressed a few buttons and all of a sudden the lights in the room dimmed down.

In the middle of the room, a small robot in the shape of a little five-year-old girl appeared.

"Assume this is a little girl. She is caught in a landslide and is buried under the rubble" he waved it hands and the robot was soon covered in boulder-like metal shapes. "even a strength ability user will find it difficult to rescue her in seconds. But you can,"

"Me? how?" he doubtfully looked at him.

"You can melt a path to her," he held Kang’s hand and pointed it to the top of the pile.

The weird blue flame arose in the display and the side of the pile-up suddenly melted away.

"Your heat causes things to melt, but also the acid stops activating as soon as you stop using your powers. So, the rocks will solidify, forming a cavern for the girl to crawl out of,"

Kang watched as the young girl robot crawl out of the space in awe.

"that’s how awesome your powers are, Kang," Aaron smiled down at him.

Kang felt his heartbeat hasten. Even that weird heat on his body came back with passion. ’shit.. I’m screwed...’

Aaron was standing right behind him. he, of course, could feel his ’you know what’ on his back. And the hero was flaccid. He was not hard at all!

’Then the problem is with me?! why? Why am I hard when I’m not in heat!!!’
