As they were flying, Kang noticed that’ shadowy figure once again.

Subtly, he was waving at his brother subtly.

The shadowy figure did not seem to understand his gestures, or perhaps the figure was not able to see his movement at all due to the lack of light.

He had to hurry up because he could feel the shadowy figure move closer to them.

A white-clothed figure finally flew close. The person’s blond hair was really shining under the moonlight and appeared ethereal.

Kang was stunned for a second by his angelic beauty.

"What are you both doing out here?" a cold voice whispered.

Kang blinked. ’oh Aaron..... It was Aaron! Oh, thank god. Wait I shouldn’t be relieved. He caught us. he is going to punish us. who knows he might even revoke my eligibility for the license....’ he fretted.

They both had frozen in the same position as soon as they spotted Aaron.

Aaron zain’s eyes focused on Kang’s hand on his nephew’s face.

"Uncle... I.. we just wanted some fresh air. I thought going for a small trip out of the city would suffice," Altren tried to be casual and all but boy he was sweating.

Kang felt his sweat through his super suit. ’boy I’m scared too...’

Aaron flew close and Altren suddenly moved back. "I can explain it was just a silly prank. I was planning on scaring Kang. He is not at fault,"

Kang was surprised he took the blame. This poor guy was sweating so much. He somehow felt pity for him. "I’m at fault too. I chested your nephew. You know he is silly, right?"

Aaron moved uncomfortably closed and suddenly grabbed his waist.

In just a second, he was moved from one superhero to another. Like carrying a baby, Aaron had a grip on his butt and was holding him steadily.

Kang held his breath. he could feel Aaron’s pounding heart beast so close to his skin.

"uncle....." Altren stammered.

"we’ll talk about this later. Now get back to the academy!"

"Yes uncle..." Altren gave a glance back. "I serious though it’s not his fault..."

Kang waved at him. ’It’s okay buddy, you tried. that’s all that matters. even if I get flayed I will deal with it alone.’ taking a deep breath he finally glanced up at him.

Aaron silently glanced down at him. his blue eyes were cold as ice.

"A-aren’t we going to fly back to the academy...."

Aaron just peered at him without a word.

"Hey look, I just wanted to get some fresh air. I didn’t mean any harm. We didn’t do anything."

"Nothing?"

"Nothing. we just flew around."

Aaron frowned. "you both flew around? romantic night, full moonlight, both your faces so close..... was that nothing.."

"Huh?" Kang just shook his head. " What are you getting at buddy? what romantic night? It’s literally all storm clouds for miles. it’s so gloomy ah!’

Aaron’s lips twitched slightly, and he looked ticked. "I see how it is..." he flew fast

Kang did not know what to say anymore. He just grabbed onto Aaron’s neck.

This git him a lot of time to think and have a deep discussion with his stupid system.

’Hey system, why didn’t you tell me outright that Aaron was the target?’

Every time he asked any question, it gave a different answer, but the output was always the same. The system refused to give him information.

The replies he got also changed over time. It started to sound less like an automated system and more like an actual person’s reply.

Kang sighed out loud. Now he was totally confused if this system is a person’s soul or if this really was an intelligent automated system. ’what’s the use in asking? this trashy system won’t tell me anything anyway. Kang just ignored its snarky reply. Instead, he chose to look up at Aaron who was looking at him deeply. "w-what is it?"

"Why did you go with him?"

He sounded very serious.

Kang also seriously replied to him. "He was the only one who helped me. no one was willing to commit the crazy act of defying the academy. Not even you were ready to defy the academy, but he was willing to. That’s what I like about him. he is a crazy asshole, but he helps others when they are in need. I was boxed up in there. I was not able to breathe Aaron! Do you understand? I didn’t like it. I don’t like it."

Aaron suddenly looked away. "I know... I’m sorry I failed you"

"What are you talking about? I’m not blaming you... It’s the academy. you are the head of the academy. of course, you would not break rules. You are the trendsetter after all."

Even to him, these words sounded very sarcastic.

But Kang could not stop.

"Don’t mind me asking... Why are the future heroes treated like prisoners? it’s because the government is afraid of us right. afraid that we would become the ’villains’ isn’t that why we are just shut in a small military jail."

Aaron gritted his teeth

"What of the children in there? they don’t even know what the outside world is. Take Altren, for example. He is naïve as fuck! He can easily be cheated by anyone. Kang felt all the frustration burst out. The words he had held back all poured out like a broken dam.

"What do you want me to do?" Aaron shouted.

"Change the system! Expose the children little by little to the outside world. Let them know how to survive instead of raising them as just glorified dolls that can be controlled by the government."

"You don’t understand, the children are weak-hearted. they can easily be influenced by those villains and....."

Kang just looked at him. "Oh really, if so, your existing education system has already failed. If they had grown up with a healthy family, they would have been taught values. They would have been taught who to and who not to trust. Have you guys taught them that?"

Aaron could not utter a word.

"you’re staying silent because that is the truth. locking us in is not going to make us strong. Only our bodies will become indestructible. Our feeble minds will break. It’s best to change that way of teaching as soon as possible. Now take me back to the academy,"

Aaron silently complied.

After getting there, he silently led him in. no one questioned them and no one saw them.

Kang left for his room while Aaron stood frozen in the hallway.
