Chapter 301: Chapter 301 - Troublesome prince
General Ryan walked out of the tent with the bowl in hand. A soldier came to take it from him. His lieutenant came up to him, gazing into the tent flap. "The young prince, he seems strange. He does not seem like the same person."
General Ryan gazed back at the tent with a slight frown. The black secret guards had already opened a report on the prince. According to it, the young prince of Galius was a brave young man and a bit less outspoken. The guy they had captured kept on yapping until his ears bled.
"They used a decoy on us," his lieutenant sneered. "And now they are pretending to surrender if we give them their prince. Shit, it’s all a play. They are going to attack us."
"No, he is the prince," Ryan said with confidence. When the young prince was unconscious, he had checked his body for scars. The young prince was said to have two huge scars on his shoulder blades from a young age. And the boy in the tent also had them. It was very hard to replicate such a scar. Plus, the enemy soldiers genuinely seemed distressed about the loss of their prince.
"Why don’t we just kill him then?" In frustration, the lieutenant kicked a small pebble.
"We want them to forfeit, not rage another losing war." He gazed at his soldiers, who genuinely seemed tired and exhausted. "Besides, we can’t handle another war with them. Place a few more guards on rounds. Enemies might try to intrude to take their prince away."
"Yes, sir!"
Ryan pulled the flap of the tent and gazed in. The young prince was mumbling something softly. His face still frozen in shock.
He walked up to him and stopped in front of his face. The young prince gazed up and peered at his face. He was looking at him, but it looked like he was thinking of someone else.
"Who is Kai? Why does this person distress the young prince so much?" was the only thought running through his mind.
He snapped his fingers at him. The young prince blinked rapidly. "You are not him, but you are him. Fuck, that guy didn’t tell me about this! I’m going to whoop his ass after we get out of this."
"You are not getting out of this."
The prince blinked up at him. "What?"
"You are a hostage prince. And you will be taken back to my kingdom and kept as one to keep your kingdom from revolting again."
The prince shot up. "No... no, no, no!!! You’re going to keep me prisoner? Do you even know what happened to cute prisoners like me? I’m going to be abused and starved and made to eat bugs. Oh my god, I’m so hungry that I might actually eat bugs. Kai, you asshole!!!" He glared up at him.
Ryan just blankly glared back at him.
"Aghhh!!!" He yanked at the chains tying him down and plopped down on the makeshift bed. "I hate you!!! And we just made up too!!! Fucking hell!"
Ryan rolled his eyes and sat down on his stool, sharpening his sword.
"And there you go, sharpening it. Why don’t you just cut my neck and end this? So that I can go to another world and find out this impeccable secret that I apparently possess." The muffled voice came from the makeshift bed.
Ryan tossed a look his way.
The boy simply groaned and rolled over. His shirt rolled up, revealing his pale back that had a huge scar running down the butterfly bone. It looked jagged, like someone had cut something off his body.
Somehow, the sight made him curious. ’What made that scar?’ The young prince, especially a crowned prince, would not be allowed to have any scars on their body.
The young boy suddenly rolled over and peered at him, only his eyes revealing through the bed. The red blanket made his pale skin stick out like a sore thumb.
"Death seems to be an easy way to end this world."
Ryan placed the sword in his sheath with a soft sigh. "You are not going to die."
The young prince sat up. "Look at me." He pulled his hands out of his long sleeves. "I look like a lamb ready to be slaughtered. Who knows, I might even get raped..." His eyes widened and he hugged himself. "What if I get raped by you? God, that sounds so bad."
Ryan silently started to clean out the blood from his armor, ignoring his useless chatter.
But to be fair, the young prince did have the pretty boy look. And if he were caught by anyone else, he would have been ravished by those brute men.
His eyes fell on the slender wrists that were entrapped with those chains. It looked tempting to yank on them and pull the guy under.
Suddenly, those urges arose in him.
He quickly left the tent in a hurry.
"General," his lieutenant ran up to him. "You... you look... well, are you okay?" he pointed to his slight flushed face. "I’ll call the healer he would have some herbs to reduce fever."
Ryan quickly wiped at his face. "no its okay."
"general you need to tend to your health and you cant ignore it."
"I’m fine. Just... Fine." He rushed to the river. He stripped as fast as he could and rushed in. At this hour, most of his soldiers had taken a bath and gone to sleep, or taken their post guarding their camp. There was no one around.
Ryan simply dunked his head completely in water, holding his breath as long as he could.
Moonlight glided down the water, creating beautiful streams of light.
He slowly raised above the water, taking a deep breath. The cold water did not help at all. His body was still... reacting. He did not like the thought of it. He refused to touch himself, refused to indulge in this prohibited feeling.
’The prince. He is more trouble than I had realized.’
