Chapter 249: Chapter 249 - The new client
"Who was that?" Yuna pulled at his arm.
Eric grimaced. He actually forgot to get their name. "a new client. It’s on our way. lest just check this person out."
Yuna frowned deeply. "aren’t you tired? Why do you want to punch yourself too much?"
Eric did not answer for this. he was feeling tired and he did want to just sleep. But he knew the moment he laid down his mind will be filled with Bai. He wanted to forget about him completely. The only way he knew was to push himself into work.
This new client came at the right time.
He was super glad to accept it.
Their car detoured to the hospital thankfully it was on the way to their hotel. Eric and Yuna hopped down and instructed the car to leave.
Yuna frowningly gazed up at the hospital. "I never liked hospitals,"
Eric slightly tapped her forehead. "Switch off your yin and yang eyes."
Yuna massaged her forehead. "Even If I do that, I can still feel them... the souls just brush up against me..." she trembled. "I don’t like it,"
hospitals are a place filled with yin energy since every day so many souls leave in this exact space. every hospital eventually would be filled up with strong spirits. most of them peacefully hover around until their purpose in this world was over.
Yuna trembled hugging herself. she had always had a slight fear of ghosts. Maybe it was childhood trauma or because she naturally feared them, he did not know. The only reason she got into this study was because her grandfather forced her to. but later on, she seemed to be interested in what he did and proposed to work with him.
Her fear of ghosts had reduced over the years but every time they step close to a hospital she would tremble.
They both had the same yin and yang eyes and could see spirits that normal human eyes can’t see. But somehow, he was dazed about it. he did not care that he saw grotesque ghosts roaming around.
he closed off his yin-yang eyes even though Eric was comfortable seeing ghosts. seeing them would not be a problem but if the ghost noticed that he could see them and try to converse with him he would be stuck in a very awkward situation. he did not even know the local language.
Eric thoughtfully gazed at her as he walked in.
He held her slightly trembling hand and started to drag her to the elevator. "If you can’t do it, tell me I’ll go in alone."
Yuna nodded. "I-I’ll wait out. I don’t want to come in..." she shivered slightly.
Eric instantly opened the elevator doors and let her out. "Get me a coffee or something. Or don’t wander around. Stay close to the gates okay,"
Yuan gave him a forced smile. "Yep sure..." she hurried out as the elevator doors closed.
Eric sighed loudly.
The client had only said that they were in the VIP ward. Looking at the chart stuck on the elevator he pressed the third floor where all VIP wards were situated at.
He once again called the number.
The same lady attended the call and gave him information about the floor they were on.
"I’m already here. I’ll meet you guys there," he cut the call as the signal was very weak in the elevator.
At the third floor, Bai Kiyuki held her husband’s hand tightly. "He is here so fast. We didn’t prepare the gift basket. Honey, what do we do?"
"We can find something else. You stay back ill find a gift for the young man," her husband cast a comforting smile and rushed to the nearby gist store.
This powerful exorcist was coming all the way over to meet their son. They had to pay him great respect.
Kiyuki nodded to herself.
The elevator doors opened and a young Chinese boy walked out. He was simply wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans. In this cold climate, it was hard to see anyone roaming around without a coat. but he seemed to be completely tolerant of the cold. his face was slightly flushed red and his pink lips looked vibrant and beautiful.
She blinked in shock. ’He really is a beauty... pictures could not justify this beauty...’ she thought with a small sigh.
Eric noted the lady peeing at him. He walked up to her with a small smile. "Miss, are you the one I talked to just now?"
"yes yes, I’m Kiyuki." She held out her hand.
Eric shook it. "I’m Eric, Joo Eric. How are you related to the client?"
"He is my son." She held the door open "he is inside. Please help us heal him... please," she said desperately.
Eric smiled and nodded. "I’ll see what I can do to help. don’t worry," walking in, he was hit by a warm current.
He frowned slightly. "it’s too hot in here,"
"Is it? I’ll raise the temperature." She ran to get the remote.
"it’s not necessary," Eric walked towards the patient’s room.
VIP wards usually had a reception area and a patient’s ward separated. He did not understand why, but it was always like that.
The kind lady ran to him and helped open the door.
Eric stopped her from opening it. "Is he violent? I need to know before entering this room,"
"now, he is completely tame. He can’t even hurt a small fly."
"Oh..." he nodded. "Then I’ll check him. Please wait outside. I’ll call you in when the situation is under control," he opened the door himself and walked in.
Blinding sunlight filtered in through the thin white curtains casting an orange glow in the room. In the middle of the room was a tall young man sitting on the bed. Only a privacy screen speared them.
Eric prepared his yellow talesmen paper just In case and approached the client. "Hello, I’m here to check on your condition. Your mother said that you were experiencing something paranormal. Is that true?"
"Yes..." a hoarse whisper came from the man.
"Do you feel violent or any form of emotional distress?"
"No... just tired."
Nodding, he opened the screen. "that’s normal, anyone who has experienced a paranormal activity tends to feel their energy zapped out of them and...." He came face to face with a pale handsome face.
Bai Yuri’s faced him dazedly. He was only wearing a simple blue-striped hospital gown.
Eric sucked in a deep breath. ’Am I dreaming...’ his grip on the screen tightened. ’no... this is real. He is real.’
"I seem to have a problem in my body. Can you help me?" Yuri smiled up at him.
"I-I have to go." Eric ran
