Bai Yuri woke up with a start. His bright eyes peered at the white ceiling with a small smile. Finally, he had found a solution to his problems. At night he distinctly remembers what had happened.

His body heat had gone so high that he felt delirious. Even when he dunked himself completely In the cold pool he could not get his body temperature back to normal. That was when he knew his mum was actually right, he was dying.

in these past years, His body was slowly getting a degree hotter but last night it all broke out of control. All hell broke loose. He feared he might even burst like a blown-up balloon.

But something surprising happened.

A man with an unusually cold Boyd. His heat calmed down instantly he touched his skin.

"My baby!" a loud squeal brought him out of his dazed state. "Oh my god... my child." His mum hugged him tightly and then placed a hand on his forehead. "Oh, thank god your body temperature his back to normal. Mum was so scared baby."

Yuri gazed at her dazedly.

"This is why you must never leave her. Ruelle is the one keeping you alive. You must not leave her got it."

"Honey, don’t force him," his dad came late into the room. "How are you, Yuri? How do you feel?"

Yuri sat up straight. "mum..." he held her hand. "I’m leaving Ruelle.... But I know someone who can save my life."

He saw his parents visibly freeze at this.

"Who is it?" his mum sat down curiously at the edge of the bed. "Yuri don’t lie to mum like this. You know your situation is dire. I understand that you don’t like Ruelle but she is keeping you alive right now. I don’t want you to die like this."

He griped her hand tightly. "I’m not kidding. This guy can save me. In fact, I’m alive because of him. He uttered some spell... I don’t remember what but he took away all my body heat."

His mum’s eyes went serious. "We have to find him then. Do you know what his name is?"

"don’t know. I found him in my suit last night. He left after that." he closed his eyes tightly, and tried to remember his face. but weirdly it was blurry. He could not remember much of what happened last night but he could still remember the moment the abnormal heat dissolved from his body. "He is most likely staying at my hotel. Can you guys check the surveillance camera? We can find him. With him, by my side, I don’t have to be married to Ruelle."

His father stood up with his pheon in hand. "I’ll take care of that. you recover, okay? We will do everything to protect you, just be assured."

Yuri smiled at his dad. "Thanks dad. Thanks, mum..." his gently grabbed her delicate hand. if not for her anxious words last night, he would have died long before that man could even find him. ’I guess A mother’s instinct is never wrong.’

Bai Yuri gently smiled as he gazed out the window. This new discovery of a cure really left him assured. For a very long time, he had been very distressed about staying in this marriage. But with this guy, he didn’t have to stay in that awful marriage. He didn’t have to tolerate that stench. Instead, he can smell that delicious toffee-like scent.

He closed his eyes reminiscing about that delicious scent from last night.

"By the way... we got a call from the cops." His mum whispered in a hesitant tone.

"So?"

"Ruelle was appended by the cops last night." She said with a deep frown. "She apparently tried to attack another girl with a dagger. the cops have conclusive evidence and they are planning on taking strict actions." She gazed at her hands. "w-was she really that bad? Is it only me who didn’t realize it?"

Yuri sighed pulling her in for a hug. "you’re just a sweet person. That scheming woman was too good at her play."

She scoffed, "thankfully we found a person who can cure you. You don’t have to stay with her if you don’t want to. but what if that guy refuses to help you? What will we do? I want to help Ruelle out just in case something like this happens.

"don’t bother. I bet that guy will help me."

Right then his dad came in with a frown. "The hotel said that the cctv from last night was destroyed. But I bet a copy of it was submitted to the cops because of what happened with Ruelle. I’ll ask my friend." He mumbled with a frown.

"See, we have to keep Ruelle as a backup." His mum said in a serious tone.

Yuri did not reject this offer this time. He touched his own neck. His temperature had dropped back to normal. For now, he is out of danger. But if it went out of control again, he needs a remedy right then and there.

After so much of calls and chats with people, they knew his father was able to retrieve the cctv camera of that night. But it was only the part where Ruelle attacked the poor woman.

They keenly gazed at it.

They were not able to find any guy in that footage.

"The hotel is deliberately trying to hide something." His mum whispered, biting her lips.

Yuri silently looked at the footage again and spoke. "Look at this. These two women are running out of the emergency stairwell that leads to the penthouse suit. And this girl." he pointed to the victim whose face was blurred. "She is wearing a swimsuit; I remember that guy also wore only his swim trunks. If we can find out who she is, maybe we can find clues about who else got into my suit."

"That is wang Yuna." His dad said to their surprise.

Yuri gazed up at him in shock. "Yuna? My distant cousin, Yuna?"

"Yes,"

Yuri smiled softly. "let’s find my cousin then,"
