Zhu Kang was quite confused on the way home. "Aaron, can’t we stay?"

"we.... we need to rest dear." Aaron pulled him onto his lap and firmly hugged him. "Lia is under great care and protection. While you need to rest,"

"Darling, I rested all too well last night." Kang cupped his face and smoothed out his frown liens with his fingertip. "What is going on? Why are you so stressed out,"

Kang softly kissed the top of his head. "Then why is your heart beating like that?"

"it’s because you are close," Aaron mumbled without looking up.

The car soon reached their home and Aaron carried Zhu Kang in.

Gwyn and Altren who were at the hallway looked at them at the same time.

"Where did you guys go off too?" Gwyn hurried over and tried to take Kang from his arms.

But Aaron did not let go. He directly dropped Kang to his room and tucked him into the bed sheets.

Zhu Kang was wide awake though. "I’m not sleepy."

"You have to rest," saying this Aaron left the room with Gwyn behind him.

"Something’s wrong... isn’t it?" Gwyn peered at him.

Aaron closed hie eyes leaning against the closed doors. "let’s talk in my study,"

He took Gwyn and Altren who was clinging to Gwyn to the study and sat down with a loud sigh. "Altren, you’re okay now, right?"

"Yes,"

"I need you to go to the high-security prison and meet the guy named Ruth. You need to get information about a super with healing ability. I need this info as soon as you can get. Got it?"

Altren pouted, clenching Gwyn’s sleeves. "But I don’t want to go."

"Just go... I don’t want to be away from Kang."

Gwyn slammed the table loudly interrupting them. "What is wrong with my brother?"

"he... he has a tumor in his head. I’ve asked for a team of great neurosurgeons to diagnose him again. we... we will find a way out of this,"

Gwyn sat back leaning against the seat. "That can’t be. How can he get a tumor? He has been healthy and well all along. Even last year we took a health check-up when he joined college. he as fine then." He leaned close glaring at him. "Are you sure the diagnosis was right?"

"I’m not sure...... Kang doesn’t know it yet. And I wis to keep it that way until I am pretty sure what his situation is. Wait, a day I’ve asked the doctor from abroad to come here immediately. They will give us a correct answer."

"What did the doctors here say?" Gwyn stood up and walked around with a hand on his head. "is it curable? Surgery..., what about surgery?’

"Can be done... but the survival rate is very low...."

Altren shot up pushing the chair behind him. "I’ll get the info about that healer. You guys’ rest assured we can save him," he ran to Aaron’s side and hugged him. "Stay strong.

Altren let go of him and ran out the door,

"Wait!" Gwyn called him out. "I’ll come along,"

"no, you just went through a strenuous activity. You have to rest. I can do this don’t worry!" Altren smiled up at him sheepishly.

Gwyn pushed past him. "Give me that conceited grin once more I will smash your teeth."

"Ah darling, don’t be so sweet. I love you too~" Altren rubbed against him like a weird puppy.

Gwyn pushed him away and peered at Aaron, who was looking glum. "I will take care of your stupid nephew. Take care of my brother." He once again hesitated by the door. "He is not a weak person. don’t hide it for long,"

"I’ll tell him after I’m sure of it,"

Nodding Gwyn dragged Altren out the door.

Aaron sat on the study trying to get his composure. He took out his laptop and started to search up on tumors.

The search result was not so hopeful.

Many tumors turn malignant. Cancerous cells spread faster and the patients only survive up to a year or so.

"a year...." He bit his trembling lips. "Super can survive for much longer. I’m sure...."

The door creaked open. Kang poked his head in. "what year? What are you doing?"

Aaron slammed the laptop close. "Nothing!" he hurriedly wiped his face.

Kang grinned mischievously. "You’re sweating and action jumping... what were you just watching mister zain? Something 18+?" he walked up to him and sat on his lap. His hand crept over to the laptop. "Open it. let’s watch it together,"

"no... I..." Aaron hugged his waist and clung to him.

"Shy?"

Aaron shook his head. "I just want to cuddle and sleep. Can we?"

"Okay anything you want," Kang pulled him up his chair and led him back to their room. He helped him settle down on the bed and climbed in after. Immediately Aaron hugged his waist. "My little Aaron is like a kid today. Clinging to me"

Aaron did not answer. He simply closed his eyes and breathed in his familiar scent.

Altren and Gwyn had already flown over to the prison. With Altren they were able to get access to the inside. After a long process of checking through many gates, they were finally able to meet Ruth.

The guy looked quite sullen and tied. His beard had grown in and he looked like a completely different person to the one Altren was familiar with.

He sat down opposite him. "Ruth,"

"Altren," Ruth looked up at him. "Gwyn," he glared at him slightly.

"Who do you think you are glaring at him?" Altren slammed the table hard.

Ruth closed his eyes letting out a small sigh. "how’s Zhuzhu. Is he doing okay? I’ve been hearing whispers around here. apparently, the snake master is out there. Keep him safe. That guy will definitely come after him,"

Gwyn simply looked at him coldly. "we know what must be done." He leaned forward with a small glare. "We are here for seeming else,"

"What? Info about snakepit. I think you know more than necessary,"

Altren slammed the table again before Ruth could reveal Gwyn’s identity as the former snakehead member. "Healer, who is your healer,"

"Why must I tell you?" Ruth smirked widely.

"My brother is wounded."

Ruth’s eyelids slightly trembled. "What happened? Who hurt him?"

"Tell us about the healer,"

"Take me to Zhuzhu. I’ll bring that guy along," Ruth desperately glanced at them.

"Who is the healer? Where does he live," Altren intervened.

Ruth looked at him, eyes wide open. "Take me to him!!!"

"The healer’s name." Altren coldly glared at him. "You don’t want your dear Zhu Kang to die, don’t you?"

Ruth struggled with his binding and glared at him. "You can’t waste time. Take me to him!’

"The name. give it to us"

Ruth gritted his teeth. "His name is kai. No one knows who he is! He just appears and disappears. I don’t know anything, much more,"

"Where do you meet him?"

"In the alleyway behind the snakepit. He appears on full moons,"

Altren glanced at Gwyn. "Today is a full moon. Let’s go,"

"Wait let me meet him! I want to see Zhu! I went to see him!!!"

Ruth was dragged away while he was shouting and screaming.

Altren and Gwyn rushed over to the small alleyway and waited.

on that time Altren also sent a message to Aaron about their situation.

"Do you think he is telling the truth?" he mumbled leaning on Gwyn’s shoulders.

Gwyn shrugged him off. "I’ve seen him."

"How does he look? Maybe haze can do profiling on him,"

"I haven’t seen his face. he usually wears a black cape. His whole face... it’s weird. I tried to look at him once but it looked pixelated. Like a low-quality video. It was like this." Gwyn whispered, walking around.

Altren sent a message to Aaron about this guy as well.

Aaron read the name once again. kai....it left a weird feeling in his heart.

It felt familiar, but at the same time, he felt like it was an alien name.

"What is it?"

Zhu Kang peaked at his phone. "who’s kai?"

"don’t know. Altren found someone with weird powers,"

"oh..." Kang leaned against his chest. "Kai sounds like a nice name. maybe we should get a dog and name him that,"

"You want a dog?"

"Hmm... Lia can play with him."

"Good. We’ll get a dog right away." He sent a message to haze. "What breed do you want?"

"don’t know. We’ll adopt from the pound. Maybe we can find a patient dog for our Lia."

"Okay. anything you want."

Zhu Kang gave him a weird look. "you’re so complacent today? What’s wrong?"

"Nothing, just want to make you happy,"

"I am happy," Kang kissed his cheeks.

"Then good. I want to spoil you rotten," Aaron kissed him back. "I love you so much Kang... I can live without you,"
