Chapter 116: Chapter 116 - Damsel in distress

Zhu Kang ate until he was completely full. The food was delicious, and the company was very pleasant. He enjoyed it both thoroughly. As he was glanced at Aaron, he couldn’t help but look behind him.

At the distance, there was a pier with enormous ships docked and a few containers were being unloaded.

He suddenly thought of the kind police woman’s words. ’she said something about the pier. Is this the place?’

Till now he did not even know they lived so close to a beach. For god’s sake, from the moment he entered this world, he had been doing nothing but surviving. First came college, then came his part times. that were excruciatingly painful to schedule. Every day he would just end up in bed, exhausted beyond comparison. Then he was kidnapped and sent to a brutish super academy where he was imprisoned for a long time.

He subtly removed his shoes and buried his foot in the fine sand. ’Wonder how waves feel like...’ he longingly glanced at the ocean waves that were crashing on the shore.

"Why don’t we go on a walk," Aaron suddenly proposed,

"Hmm," he was more than happy to agree to this.

Without even wearing his shoes, he jumped up and rushed to his side. He held out his hand. "Come on my prince, let me escort you on a brief walk on your beautiful shore,"

Aaron chuckled and placed his huge, warm hand on his. "yes my Zhu Kang. I will gladly accept your offer," he played along.

They both walked on the shore.

Kang placed his foot on the wet sand. It sank slightly. His pink hit something beneath the sand. He hurried sat down and dug to find a dead starfish. "Aaron look, it’s a starfish! Oh, my god...." he touched its hard spikes.

Aaron took it from him and washed it with the upcoming waves and handed it back to him. "there is another one," he pointed to a start fish that was freshly washed ashore. He picked it up and held it up to him.

Small pink legs were wiggling around in the small gap underneath the creature. Just looking at it creeped him out slightly.

"do you wish to hold it?" he held it up to him.

"n-no," Kang glanced at the ugly start fish.

"It’s sad, really. These creatures wash up upside down and they won’t be able to crawl back in. They literally dry up in the sun." Aaron tossed the starfish into the ocean.

As they walked further to the right, Kang saw a lot of crabs, sea slugs, and sea sponges. It was such a novel experience.

"Zhu look," Aaron held his hand and pointed to the upcoming waves. "There is a school of cuttlefish there,"

Zhu Kang keenly glanced at the distance. He could not see a thing. "are they tasty?" he asked the first thing that came to his mind.

"They are tasty, do you want some? I can catch some for you."

"You can fish?"

"Yeah, I’m an expert at it," Aaron puffed up his chest proudly.

Cuttlefish for dinner did sound nice. He readily agreed with him.

Aaron excitedly ran to get the fishing rods and other supplies, leaving him all alone on the serene shores.

{’ding, daily task, and target task has been updated, does host want to complete them now?’} the system disrupted his peaceful time with its annoyingly searching voice.

Kang massaged his brows. "What is it? Just tell me what the tasks are."

{daily task: save a damsel in distress, points: 50

target task: share your secret with the target character, points: 70}

Looking at the system reward, Kang was stunned for a second. ’System did someone kidnap you and replace you with a kinder system? Fuck, you were, weren’t you? oh, thank you so much. system 202 was trash. new system. What is your name huh? you’ll be my new brother,’

{ ’it’s still me,’}

his excitement went down a notch.

’How are you giving out so many task points? You never do that. it’s weird... very weird...’

{’system has been upgraded to version 1.5. The upcoming tasks will be difficult and proportionate rewards will be awarded for the host’s efforts. Good luck host~ fighting~~.’} the system said in an unusual cutesy voice.

Kang’s eyelids twitched. He did not know why, but he suddenly could feel the impending doom coming his way. He touched his twitching right eyelid.

"I brought the gear," Aaron came back with two fishing rods, two recliner folding chairs, a torch was handing on his arm, and a box full of plastic bait on his other. "let’s get to the dock,"

Kang took the chairs from him, but the young hero simply glared at him.

"it’s too heavy,"

"Hey, did you forget that I’m a super too? plus I’m a man. Don’t treat me like a woman," he took both the chairs from him and rushed ahead of him.

With a small chuckle, Aaron ran after him.

The dock was not that far from the pier. There was only one small dirty and worn-out row boat docked there.

Aaron took the chairs from him and set the chairs on the plank. He even placed a cushion on one of them. "Sit,"

Zhu Kang gladly took the seat.

"Here," he offered a fishing rod.

"I don’t know how to fish,"

"I’ll teach you it’s not that difficult. Just place the bait in the hook, cast it, and wait for the fish to take a bite." he made it sound so simple that Kang felt confident about it.

He set up the bait, which was a small silicone fish with five hooks on its body.

"Look here, you have to wind up the wire and just cast it," he cast the bait a little far from the waves.

Kang did just as Aaron did. But his bait landed quite close to the school of cuttlefishes. In just a second, one took the bait. It started to pull and struggles a lot. "ah I got it!"

"Wait don’t put too much pressure. Simply lean back and slowly wind it close. Or else the line will break." Aaron stood behind him and held his fishing rod. His warm chest was firmly attached to his back. His flaccid member was rubbing against his ass.

’Even flaccid, he is too big. shit why am I getting hot...’ Kang took a deep breath not to be distracted by the man’s hot body. Instead, he concentrated on the fishing wire. Slowly, they both brought the cuttlefish up close to them.

The fish spurted out a jet of black ink behind just as he touched it.

"ew," Kang wiped his hand on Aaron’s pants. Realizing what he had done, he glanced up apologetically. "Sorry,"

"it’s okay," he held removed the squid from the hook, and placed it in the bait bucket.

"That was fun," Kang chuckled and sat back down. Once again, he cast his fishing line. And in just a minute, another one bit his. This time, he got the hang of it. He reeled it back and held it up to Aaron. "I got another,"

Aaron smiled. "Awesome. You are natural at this,"

"I wonder why," he mumbled, removing the cuttlefish from the hook.

Ten minutes went by and his own bucket was filled with cuttlefish, but poor Aaron still hadn’t caught even one. He gave him a curious glance.

The young hero blushed subtly. "it’s.... It’s the waves! They are moving in your direction. That’s why they are not taking my bite."

"oh, I see." he knew nothing about fishing so he completely believed the hero’s bluff. He cast his fishing line out, and another cuttlefish took the bait.

Grinning, he pulled it back to them and placed it in the overflowing bucket. "I think this is enough for two. Let’s not overfish,"

With his eyebrows twitching, Aaron agreed. The poor guy looked so downcast looking at his fishing rod and at his bait.

Looking at this, kang couldn’t help but chuckle subtly. He leaned forward and kissed his cheeks. "You did an awesome job teaching me. Poor guy, you were so distracted teaching me that you didn’t catch anything."

"Yeah, that’s right. I was teaching you so I couldn’t concentrate on my casting," Aaron finally grinned.

Kang chuckled and hugged his waist.

Suddenly, a loud gunshot sound rang nearby.

Aaron hurriedly garbed him and pulled him down to the dock. He placed his body on him, shielding him from any danger.

He glanced up in shock. "what was that sound? It sounded far from here,"

Aaron vigilantly glanced around. His stony gaze focused on something to their right. "Stay down." He jumped up and flew away.

Kang propped himself up and glanced out at the sea. There was a ship nearby and there seemed to be some trouble going on. Another gunshot rang loudly.

Aaron was flying directly over to that spot without his mask or his super suit. his entire face was covered with a bright light shielding his handsome features. The people in the ship started to attack him with water ability.

the water became turbulent. The whole dock started to shake violently to the force of the waves.

’shit.... Shit! You fucking system, this is what you meant save a damsel! Is this the damsel that I have to save?’

{’yes’} the system did not reply after that.

Kang bit his lips. Fifty points sounded really, really tempting. If he could complete this task, he could buy a lot of protective charms from the marketplace. Those could really come in handy when they are in grave danger.

"Fine, I’m doing this. Aaron is there. I can do this," he jumped on the ugly old rowboat and started to row towards the ship.

Aaron dealt a tremendous blow to the ship as he got close.

"No! don’t destroy the ship so soon. I need to save the damsel, Aaron!"

Aaron glanced back in shock. "Stay back!"
